Went for steak and shrimp combo. Delicious soup, salad, and entree. Good flavor. Fast and friendly service. Went back had the hibachi steak lunch with soup and salad soup was watery, salad was good. Entree was good. No Ramen on the menu.

If you love Japanese food like I do, this is the place. Sushi is really fresh, not too much rice and the best prices in town! I ordered the dinner teriyaki chicken bento box for lunch and I can’t believe how much food this is! It comes with white rice, teriyaki chicken (white chicken breast) shrimp shumai, miso soup, salad California roll (6 pieces) and shrimp and vegetable tempura! All for under 16 bucks! Definitely my new favorite place!

Nice atmosphere. Mostly of the restaurant is dedicated for Teppanyaki. We went to celebrate our son's birthday (4) and mine. Chef was kind. It is a kid friendly place I caught a piece of broccoli in my mouth Chef threw to me, and that made my day.

Went here on a Wednesday night. There was less than a 5 minute wait. The hostess was pleasant, our server on the other hand, not so much. We sat at the grill and had a fabulous time. Our chef was amazing, entertaining & engaging. I had scallops & lobster. Husband had teriyaki chicken. 9 YO son had steak. All was cooked to perfection. Each entree comes with fried rice, noodles, soup, and salad. Portion sizes are huge! We also split 2 specialty sushi rolls. The rolls were fresh and tasty. The bill came to just over $100 and was worth it. Will be returning.

The atmosphere is very nice. The server wasn't as attentive. She walked passed us twice without asking if we needed anything, even though I was waving my hands. I had to chase her down to order a drink but she was very pleasant. The prices are very reasonable for the show they put on, the quality and the amount of food served. We had enough left over for a nice lunch the next day. Our meal was only $50 between us (without alcohol)

Had a good dinner. Tuna was really yummy! Sat at the bar, good bartender and drinks. And it would have been a great experience all together had their bathrooms been in better shape. Everything else was clean and the manager was walking around keeping it that way. Bathrooms are tragic.

We decided to order the shrimp tempura as they have a very limited sashimi menu. But we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was ( barring the mushroom - gets a bit soggy). You get 5 pieces of shrimp and a healthy portion of veg, including sweet potato, zucchini, broccoli and mushroom along with rice and a salad with a lovely miso dressing. Our server was good, attentive without hovering especially as we were the last customers to leave after a late lunch. Definitely gets a thumbs up from us.

So overall the place was nice, friendly and accommodating staff, but too high priced in my opinion. I had the filet mignon/shrimp dinner, it came with miso soup and a salad. Of course they were generous with the "sides" like fried rice and noodles but I feel not so generous with the protein. A bill for two was like $85 not including tip.... Definitely not a place that you want to eat out at a few times a week, unless you have it like that!

I got to say… I love this place! It’s a go to when in Alb for sure. Their sushi is my favorite! The BMW & West Texas roll. I also get the Filet mignon medium rare with rice, veggies & noddles. You won’t regret it one bit. I also think it’s nice to have the chiefs cook right in front of you. They give a good amount of food as well.

I got the Bento Box B. The cook was not as entertaining as usual but the food was good. Got the Oolong tea and the only pot one tea bag for the whole pot, so weak tea. It was also very cold in there!

What a wonderful meal! Controller first trip to Hayashi Japanese Steakhouse, and I expected it to be good. It was. In fact, it's surpassed our expectations. It was surprisingly delicious! As usual, I got a Bento Box. That's my favorite go to for Japanese restaurants. This one was a great deal better than the others I've had around town. We also got hibachi shrimp. That too was simply delicious. Take a look at the photos.

Delicious!!! Great prices on the sushi, alcohol was a bit over priced even for a restaurant. Ethan gave wonderful service. Our party of three was seated for regular dining with no wait. The restaurant was clean, not a speck of dust on the blinds. This is my new go-to for sushi in Albuquerque! Try the Samurai roll, it’s amazing. We will be back!

Edamame wasn't served at the temperature. It should be. It should have been warmer. The egg and the soup was overcooked as was the meat in the soup. The atmosphere was nice. The server was polite. The food was not as good as I thought it would have been for a restaurant of this kind.

We had a very enjoyable time. We went with our three little ones, and they absolutely loved the food. Our chef and server were top notch and very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Large portions with a great price.

The sushi 🍣 was good. We were seated fast at the grill for a Friday night. The chefs are funny and entertaining. Wait staff was great.

The restaurant was very clean and the food flavorful. The chef cooking our meal in front of us was not very interactive. Definitely did not get the Hibachi grill experience, which was unfortunate being that we were celebrating my son's birthday and it was his first time visiting this type of restaurant.

We had Hibachi Shrimp and Lobster and the Hibachi Lobster and Scallops. The food was seasoned very well but the lobster was overcooked and became tough. If our Teppan Chef would have just not overcooked our lobster I would have given five stars. The service was excellent which also contributed to the three stars.

Our server and waitress were really nice. I gave a low rating for a few reasons. 1. If you enjoy using yum yum sauce on your food, look further because they don’t have any here. Crazy right?! 2. When cooking the hibachi, one of the guests at another party that shared a grill with us was asked to blow on the food when doing the onion trick🫠 IN 2023!!?! Spoke to the staff about it and they were receptive but I would still pay attention when eating here.

Arrived with myself and seven of my work buddies no Reservations and was able to get seated in 20 minutes. The Chef did a great job of reading his crowd. He did not skip a beat hopped right in and started making jokes with a very rambunctious bunch! Absolutely hilarious. And yes the food was awesome as well.
