We left a wedding ring off for repair. We have. been trying to get it back. The phone and email do not work. Every time we drive by the store it is completed locked up. Does any one know where Elliot Shelton, the owner is? We have filed a police report.

Shelton Custom does amazing work but I do hope Elliott hires someone to handle calls, emails and management. I don't want to see his business fail, his family name is well known and my wedding ring looks amazing. But I had issues contacting him about my ring, and the lack of communication was frustrating. It's hard to find a trust worthy jeweler in town and I wanted to give Shelton Custom a chance since we purchased our wedding sets with Elliott Shelton's father back in 2016. I am happy with the ring repair I had done, but the frustration of calling every day was stressful for me and my husband. At this point I cannot recommend Elliott for any repairs just because of the lack of communication but I would consider buying something from him in the future. Honest opinion. He's not a bad guy - but I think his business is missing something important, someone to help Elliott out. In a business a manager would handle complaints, a sales person or receptionist would schedule appointments and Elliott could focus on his custom work and repairs, something he obviously does well. And Elliott, if you're reading my review, thank you for fixing my ring and trying to make it right. I hope your business flourishes and you find someone to help you out in the store. I hope my review one day becomes a 5 star review instead. But right now after the last 3 weeks I am going to leave this honest review of how I am feeling in the moment after getting my ring back finally. Again I have no issues with the repairs done, my ring is fixed, it looks amazing. I just have an issue with how the business is run and I feel a few things need to be changed to continue to be a successful business. Best of luck to you Elliott.

What can I say, this place is the real deal. I started my engagement ring search online, as I usually find better deals, but was quickly overwhelmed with how many variables go into picking the perfect ring and diamond. After a lot of frustration and realization that I didn't have the time to properly self-educate myself, I decided to check local stores. I started with Shelton's as I was familiar with the store from living in the area for a few years. The first time I visited, Eric spent 2+ hours giving me a real-world education on diamonds and showing me many different variations in rings and diamonds. There were lots of things I would have never known had I relied on just reading articles online. He also jumped through numerous hoops and even ordered a couple diamonds for me to look at, only to return them upon realization that they came from a questionable source. The entire time I felt that Eric had my best interest in mind and I didn't even bother going to other shops. I did check comparable diamonds and rings online and found that Shelton's was giving me a great deal. I also don't think I would have made such a good choice without Eric guiding me through the process, and you can't put a price on that. In the end, she said yes and absolutely loves the ring. If you're looking for an honest place to shop for jewelry, I can't recommend Shelton's enough.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience buying simple wedding bands from Elliot at Shelton’s! From the very beginning, Elliot listened to us, was friendly, and never tried to upsell us on anything we didn’t want. We paid a very reasonable price and experienced excellent customer service. I went in to consign an old mine cut diamond I no longer wanted and I was told by the appraiser my diamond appraisal wasnt accurate in the gentlemens opinion. I went in to try and sell my J si2 diamond and he wanted to sell at a k color price for about 6k whole sale price and I would get 3k take home. My reason for wanting to consign it was because I didn't want to sell dirt cheap at wholesale. I sent my diamond to GIA and sure enough It was J color si2 NOT a k color. The master J color diamond he compared mine to is wrong! He said mine wasn't as bright as his j color, GIA states other wise.

This will probably sound like an off-beat review, but hear me out, because it speaks the man behind the company. In 2016 I was going through an extremely difficult time in my life. I had lost my fiance, both grandmothers who were my rocks, and my mother, almost all at once, one after another. I had fallen deeply into alcoholism. As my life began to crumble because of my poor handling of it I began to sell off family jewels. I believe I worked with Eric on three different occasions, and he was one of only two humans who were kind to me during this time. He probably smelled the alcohol, he heard the story of my family, and he took his valuable time...and gave it to me. He heard I had an interest in the geological side of his business, so it seemed that he was trying to take my mind off my troubles even temporarily when he showed me the different gems under the microscope and taught me about inclusions and the different qualities of diamonds. He taught me how to evaluate pearls without needing tools. He just sat and talked for a bit, just one human to another. He could have easily undercut me and pushed me out the door. But he didn't, even when he had other customers waiting on him. Now I am better. I've been sober and fixing all the damage I did to my life. But his kindness has always stuck with me. I will go to no other jeweler than Eric Shelton. He now has a loyal customer, simply because he chose humanity over business when he didn't have to. I suggest you choose Shelton Jewelers because, even though I don't know his staff, I doubt a man of his honor and integrity would choose to surround himself with anyone other than people like himself. Worst place to shop ever. I went in with my own diamond and had them put it in a setting. Setting was done but it took forever and when I asked them if they could clean my sterling silver chain, they stretched it and then blamed me and said I switched it out with another one just so I could get a new chain! Why on earth would I do that for a $12 chain? They basically called me a liar and said the one they cleaned was not the same one that I was trying to get replaced. Good grief. Nothing like getting my business just to run me off by accusing me of theft. Needless to say I will never step foot in that store again. Also, now I buy my beautiful diamonds from James Allen and have someone else. mount them. Note: this happened over 4 years ago and I never did a review. I didn’t know Shelton closed...

Kamey and Elliott were amazing! They both worked with us and our budget to help us end up with the perfect rings that we are very happy with. We have been here many times, and everyone that we have worked with has been knowledgeable, kind, and professional. They really go out of their way to make their customers happy.

We have worked very closely with Elliot. He has been absolutely amazing. We found a man's ring we liked the design of but not the small size of the diamonds so Elliot re-created the ring but enlarged the diamond size to our specifications. My fiancee's ring came out so fantastic! The white gold of his ring shines bright and the diamonds are tastefully large enough to catch the light just right and still remain VERY masculine and elegant. As for my wedding bands, we knew we needed it to be custom made because of the unique curvature of my engagement ring. Elliot walked us through the process, showing us the 3D images. Sometimes pictures don't come out exactly as the real thing but these real life bands came out exactly as Elliot's design images. In fact, once completed and placed around my engagement ring, the bands turned out BETTER than the images Elliot created, and those images were breathtaking. I highly recommend Shelton Jewelers and if you're wanting custom work done, Elliot Shelton is the man to turn your dreams into reality with the final results being even better than you could imagine.
