This hotel charges an “incidental deposit” of $75, which I have never in my life had to pay at any hotel I have been to, and I am a frequent traveler. I was not told of this charge until after I paid for the cost of the room, and even then I was charged $5 more than my reservation confirmation showed for just the nights (excluding their ridiculous fee). On top of that, the rooms are dated and smell strange. They claim to have housekeeping, but for the entire duration of my stay our next door neighbor has been leaving piles and piles of trash in the hotel trash can in the hallway. This only worsens the smell. The hotel is not in the best area, and the parking lot isn’t even well lit out front. I didn’t feel right about leaving my car parked here overnight. There are many other hotels in the area, do not make this same mistake. Update: My card was again charged fraudulently, for “having two pets.” I literally have one dog, yet I was charged $200 in pet fees for a two night stay. This place is ridiculous.

This is the most terrible hotel I have been to. First, we arrived and were made to wait for about an hour before getting a room. Booked ahead a week in advance and drove six hours to Albuquerque, only to hear that our room is not ready at 3 pm. We finally got checked into a room that stinks so bad. See pictures of toilet and shower area. Towels are so old and look pale, I ended up using my shirt to wipe down my body. The pillow is old, soggy and dirty. For a $90 per night, this is terrible. The hotel is old and should be renovated. Terrible to keep decade old towels and poor service.

It’s exactly what you expect it to be, nothing more or less. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean albeit a bit stark, and breakfast was standard (they provided a bagged breakfast presumably due to Covid). We couldn’t get the TV to work with the cable box but we typically watch something on our computer anyway so it wasn’t an issue. Bed was comfy! Only real downside is the location, which didn’t feel the safest. Nothing happened to us, but we did hear that other cars have been broken into in the parking lot overnight. I’d recommend parking your car in front and making sure you take all the valuables with you to the room.

I normal don’t complain but this Quality Inn has been the worst of my 60 plus stays this year. Service was none existent. Ask for new towels on 2nd night never received them when and got them myself on the 3rd night No room service on the 3rd night as stated on the small signed in the corner of the mirror above sink. I ask on 2 different nights for room service and was told Amy person working desk that A note would be made and it would be taken care of and no results. I was scheduled to stay 7 nights but after the lack of service I had to leave this place was told I couldn’t get a refund for the other 3 nights but if it’s money they want without service I left . Was told that a manager would call me. Upon checkout I ask for a receipt and just like everything else I ask for during my stay dissent happen. Was told they could close it out . Wow.. Now this right here tops everything. I 2 young men that work for me and yes we are African American and these young men are 1st class hats off to thee parents always on time and respectful. so it’s 6:15-630 and we’re checking out and the night manger goes how they up and ready for work this early when they ran the hallways all night. I say do what knowing this is total out of character for these 2 young men. So ask again what wee they doing then she say oh they wee sitting in the chairs that the hotel made available in the hallway entrance. So I ask were they relied or loud. So I had to ask how it go from running to sitting. These young men was sitting there talking to there girlfriends not bother anyone. Then she goes I was just following security protocols. Wow. So I have to leave this place not only lacking service but been profile as well. Along with been told the reason for lack of service the young men they have employed to work for them don’t care and don’t communicate the customer needs when told as if it’s my responsibility. Totally disappointed. So now I wait to see if I get a call from the GM as it concerns my deposit.

I would never stay here again. Not even because of the rooms, but the run around at the front desk was ridiculous. She wouldn't let me run my own card, she insisted my credit card wasn't a valid card (mlife is connected to first national bank omaha so if it's not a credit card linked to a bank please explain that one to me) she insisted she Googled it and it was just a reward card she couldn't take. Since when do hotels not accept visa and master card? 🙄 the front desk worker wasn't even there when we arrived we had to call her to the desk only to be ignored for 5 more minutes once inside. Then the whole issue with refusing the cards. Just not worth it for a quick night stay off the highway.

My brother stayed here. The morning he left he developed a very itchy rash on his legs and back. We thought it was bed bugs. He went to an urgent care facility and was told it was hives. He said the room had a very heavy scent. It is either the detergent or the chemical used to clean or deodorize the room. He has never had hives before.

We stayed here for our 25th anniversary. We were traveling from SLC to Corpus Christi TX. So many hours left to travel.... on zero sleep. Tub/ shower water didn't turn off. Fridge sounded like a jet engine. Sweating when AC wasn't running and freezing when it was. Not to mention how loud it was, made it difficult to hear anything else. King bed was so extremely hard and uncomfortable that because we didn't sleep more than 1 hour, we left in the middle of the night to spend the rest of the night in the car. Talked to mgr and she simply didn't care. UPDATE... the general mgr for this hotel emailed me after seeing my review. Instead of apologizing for our bad experience, she insulted me and "justified" their incompetence. Basically told me I was crazy for the things I said. The worst customer service ever!

I read a hotel review in which the guest mentioned the bed being noisy, and I thought to myself, "Really?". They weren't talking about this hotel, but they should have been. I can not describe the noise, but it was loud. To top it off, the mattress rests on a frame surrounded by metal. If you accidentally kick the metal, it sounds like thunder. That being said, the bed was comfortable. The furniture is dated, and there is way too much of it for the size of the room. I just needed to sleep, and I did. It was clean. Good place to spend the night but I wouldn't do a long stay becauseof the room size.

Room was reasonably priced and clean. You could hear the movement of the person in the room above us but no voices. Would definitely stay here again.

Horrible stay. The room was minimally ok. However, we were placed under some obnoxious guests that stomped the entire time. When I brought the matter to the managers attention, the lazy lady did nothing to make up for a poor stay. Breakfast was cheap. No selection. Cold cereal and yogurt. You want comfort and reassurance, go elsewhere. This poor rate hotel does not deserve your business.

The wheelchair accessible room that I asked for what's available clean and comfortable. They accommodated my wife and myself and our small Chihuahua without any issues. The staff was friendly and courteous the support cleaning staff was very supportive very accommodating bring our two days stay there. Breakfast tray was clean filled and accessible for myself. The location is right off of I-40 which is nice but getting to location is a little tricky phone GPS was very helpful in getting us to location. I would definitely recommend this location especially if you are in a wheelchair I need wheelchair-accessible facilities🙏🏽👍🏽

This was not a pleasant experience on our vacation. Our only Comfort chained hotel that had odors from front door to our room. If we walked barefooted in the room, our feet became black from the dingy old carpet, we found dusty window sills. We had to call the clerk, then wait on them to check in at 4 pm. Continental breakfast consisted of: "packaged" muffins, 2 boiled eggs or a breakfast sandwich. Our family of 7 (which have all worked in food or hotel service) were not pleased. I would not recommend this establishment.

First impressions make a lasting impact. When our church group of 43 came in that late afternoon, Virginia was out there with a big smile, greeting us and offering her help with our luggage. That was a relieving sight to see after a long trip from Texas. She also offered us water while we were waiting for room keys. The quality of service by the whole staff was excellent. A big THANK YOU to the hotel manager, April, who made sure that we were taken care of. She provided bagged breakfast with orange juice in a nice re-usable container for we had to leave that very-early morning to attend the start of the balloon festival. I know that April and her staff had to take extra time to prepare all of this. The hotel is going thru renovations and it did not bother us.

One late night night holiday stop for us. Easy to reserve on web site, friendly staff in pm and am- clean and remodeled. We stayed on 3rd floor. Comfy king bed, clean smell, quiet too and good price. Felt safe and would definitely stay again. Breakfast was grab and go - so once that is up and going would give full star rating.

If you stay here defiantly park in the front or where you have cars around you don't park where you are the only car and all your stuff inside is visible. The staff was great especially after my car got broken into and just about everything was stolen. The front deck, Victoria, helped me with how to contact the police (I have never had this happen before). She was great with asking her coworkers for recommendations on where I can get the glass replaced since I was supposed to be passing through. She also said they do have cameras and will give their footage over to the police. Their maintenance man, Antonio, was great in helping me clean out the glass that was left inside my car. I did have to spend another night after getting the glass replaced later than I had needed to be on the road again. They did give me a discount for the extra night.

Don’t let the bad reviews scare you away. The staff are super friendly, Virginia was so nice and helpful. I brought my black light and inspected the cleanliness of the room and I give it a 9/10. The walls were a little dirty in the bathroom but the floors, carpet, mattress and headboard were spotless. We took a chance here and are glad we did.

I stayed with my wife and daughter while visiting ABQ for my nephew’s wedding. My father stayed in another room near to ours. The low rating is due to the fact that we didn’t get house keeping at all during our 3 day stay. We had a very small one inch sticker in the lower left hand corner of the bathroom mirror that simply justified the reason as room service is available only on request because “it’s all about the guest’s choice”. Well we didn’t quite understand that and I finally requested house keeping on the second night after we came back and realized the sheets weren’t changed and the trash wasn’t emptied. So I went to the front desk to explicitly request house keeping for the following day, and the clerk verbally told me I was on the list. Come following morning I go to the front desk after my mediocre breakfast (more on that later) and asked to confirm that we will get housekeeping per my request which is what the tiny little sticker on the mirror stated. The clerk, who was not the same clerk I spoke to the night before, told me because I did not request housekeeping during the hours of 7am and 9 am I was not on the list and therefore would not receive housekeeping. So that’s two days without housekeeping and because we were leaving on the morning of the third day we saw no point in requesting housekeeping. Now on to the breakfast, it wasn’t the worst continental hotel breakfast I’ve had but it wasn’t great. The orange juice dispenser was broken 2 out of 3 days we were there and many other guests got nothing but watered down orange water. Finally, the remote control to the television went out on the second day so while we were waiting for the rest of the family to get dressed for the big day we had nothing to do but look at our phones. The housekeeping policy is probably the biggest dealbreaker as to why I would never stay at a Quality Inn again. It is so stupid to say that the guest has to request it directly when the housekeeping staff could just ask when they come to a guest’s room and the guest could say yes, no, or yes but come back in X number of minutes/hours.

The room doors are tricky. When you close them it sounds like they lock. Good thing I double checked because even though the door appeared locked it was still open. It took several attempts to close the door. Also, the tub was dirty with debris at the bottom of the tub. But Maria came in and cleaned it ,but it was an inconvenience. The hotel staff was great though !

We paid for a room for two nights. We got in past 11pm on the second night and they didn't let us in unless we paid $40 more dollars for "two extra people," paying for that night and the night before. You pay for the room, not the amount of people. Absurd,

Rooms n hallways have NO carpet - makes rooms n hallways noisey, especially if you're on 1st floor. If you're going to be pet friendly, then have a place n supplies for pets (or pick up after those that don't, since no supplies or even a garbage)

I booked this hotel to stop at halfway through a 20+ hour drive with my 4 children. I paid over $200 to get a room with 3 double beds. I would say the room itself was decent. The beds were comfortable and the room seemed clean. The bathroom area had some black hairs around the toilet and the bathtub didn’t seem super clean. The sink area was clean and tidy though and had a good selection of soaps provided. We got into the room around 7:30pm from dinner and all of my kids were tired from driving all day and mostly watched tv in the room which was all the way over on one side of the room and inside a wooden entertainment shelf so it was difficult for the other bed to see the screen. I had all my kids asleep by 9pm and then I went to bed too. At almost 11pm, I received a call from the front desk informing me that there had been multiple complaints about stomping and jumping. (After reading some of the other reviews, maybe this is a floor issue in some parts of the hotel?? We were on the second floor.) The phone was very loud and woke up everyone when they called the room. This was completely unacceptable in my opinion. If a worker had gone to check and see if there was any noise, this error could have been avoided. Overall, I felt like the hotel was okay, but I personally wouldn’t stay here again for the price and experience I had while there.

Exceeded my expectations! Although the main entrance to the hotel was closed off by law enforcement at the time of getting there, they opened up an alternate route, so that customers could get in through the back; room was clean, & service was great. Would stay here again.

3.6 stars makes sense! I for one will never come back here! I came in on work at 1am and my company takes care of everything! Upon checking the lady said she needed a deposit which my company should have covered and the lady said nope you need an additional one! We were having issues with our cards and there was nothing this lady would do to help us! We drove 15 hours and just need to sleep and take a shower and we would be out first thing in the morning! We stay in 100’s of hotels and never have this issue as they are willing to work with us especially after realizing we’re here for business and not pleasure! I have never once had anything happen to the hotel rooms I stayed in and nothing will happen to the hotel rooms I’m going to stay in! I travel and need sleep and this is not the place for me! Andrea seems to hate her life as she isn’t there for anyone and her customer service sucks big time!!!

  • 1/5 Yajaira C. 2 years ago on Google
Please don’t stay here. Me and another friend stayed here. Both me and my friend never received our deposit that they said we would get back. I called like 2-3 times and the “manager” said the payment was released on her end. She then said she would talk to her boss and call me back and they never did. I have proof that I never received the deposit. If they steal peoples deposit imagine what else they do. Do not recommend this place look somewhere else.

My husband and I have stayed here on numerous occasions, the last one on January 5, 2021. They have a wonderful staff. Andrea is great and Annette is always so pleasant. They are in the process of updating the rooms, so I am always curious to see what is new. I can't wait until we can eat in the new breakfast area. COVID, go away!

We came in for the Balloon Fiesta so of course got to pay double the regular price for this room. We called at 11 a.m. because we arrived to Albuquerque earlier than expected and asked if we could possibly check in early (check in was 3 p.m.) because we had paid for a Park N RIde to the Balloon Fiesta. The desk staff said no. 3 p.m. so we killed time in town and finally went to the hotel at 2:30 p.m. sure still a little early. Same desk staff said no. 3 p.m. So we waited in the parking lot until 3. Same desk staff said our room still wasn't ready while three other people checked in. That staff person left the desk and another came in around 3:20 and we told him we really had to get checked in because our Park N Ride bus left at 4 and we had to drive over to the Coronado Mall still. New staff person said, sure let's just give you a different room. Geez. We checked in and just made it to our bus. When we arrived back after the Balloon Fiesta, one of the lamps wouldn't work and the DirecTV wouldn't come on. I called the desk and no answer. I left a message asking them to come and fix the tv but no one ever responded. Finally we just went to bed. The next morning we were up very early to again go to the Balloon Fiesta. Several other people were also gathering in the lobby to go separately from us. Yet another new staff lady spoke up rudely and said if you people are going to the Balloon thing you might as well forget it because you aren't going to make it. We gave her our room keys and told her we were checking out and mentioned that the DirecTV in room 325 didn't work and she said, yeah you have to jiggle the cord in the the wall to make it work. Okay, so a short? Great. It was obviously a known problem they hadn't fixed. Signs everywhere basically saying nothing was safe from theft in your vehicles in the lot so we unloaded EVERYTHING into our room. Not a great experience with this Quality Inn. Location was good and the room appeared clean. Two our of three of the staff we encountered were rude and unhelpful.

Comfortable room for the night. Nothing spectacular. The in-room fridges seem to really be getting smaller these days. It was a good room after a long day of traveling.

There was soap scum and hair all over the bathtub. The sink was clogged, then draining very slowly. Front desk was friendly but there was no one to fix the sink, they offered to switch rooms but we’ve been on a road with young kids for many days, we had unloaded some very heavy luggages and I had cleaned the bathtub already. Then other things showed up in the room. The trash from previous guest was not emptied. But the last straw was the bed sheets with mold stains and the pillows with make up stains. I only have pictures of the bed sheets, unfortunately. The breakfasts was very very limited.

For breakfast, there was a new automatic pancake dispenser that made amazing pancakes and there were lots of choices of yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal and hot sausage sandwiches. Latoya at the front desk was super helpful. Our room smelled like smoke and there was an extension cord stretched across the hall. But the TV worked great and the bed was really comfortable so it all worked out.

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the course of a family move, traveling with our family cat. Check in was easy, the staff are all very friendly & helpful, & the lobby has an always fresh & hot coffee dispenser. Our room was clean & comfy, complete with a with a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. What a delightful experience!

This is the second time I have stayed at this particular location in the past few years Its off Highway 40 E, but you have to go past some apartments to get to it which seems a bit strange but don't let that deter you from this wonderful establishment. Traveling back from California to Kansas on Thursday February 09, 2023, we decided to shut down for the evening after hearing the reports of 40E being closed at Clines Corners due to multiple accidents caused by inclement weather. Decided to stay at this Quality Inn again with some of the best prices advertised. During this particular trip it was myself, my husband and one of our adult children. I was greeted by a very nice young man with excellent customer service skills and eagerness to help I didn't catch his name unfortunately. We did have a small snafu with Booking (Not his fault at all, just a timing issue that was resolved I will get more into that shortly) Got our room that was clean and maintained the only issue is the tub was slow draining, but I pulled the plug out and it seemed to resolve itself. The beds were comfortable, the rooms and common areas were quiet. The breakfast options were great with yogurt, waffles, eggs, pastries, juices, coffee and other miscellaneous items. Now let's circle back to the small snafu, if you book 3rd party online in parking lot allow at least 10 minutes to elapse prior to heading in because the "Payment" is in cyber limbo at that point and doesn't show paid so when I went in the very nice young man stated it did not go through, so I paid a second time. So, I spoke with Alexandra the Day Manager the next morning and she too was amazing at what she does, she was quick to resolve the issue and we were on our way again but not before we got to see a couple of roadrunners.

Great location on the south end of Albuquerque, made an easy ride to NM-536/Sandia Crest Mountain. Nice and clean location, very comfortable, good breakfast. Rooms are a good value, but there is a damage retainer held on top of the room fee, but is not charged if you aren't disrespectful to the rules.

best hotel you're going to get for the price in the area. great place and distance for the balloon festival, they are hiring for front desk and I would suggest the spot to anyone willing to work. All employees are great and will provide you with great service on either side of the desk.

  • 5/5 Jace D. 1 year ago on Google
I worked here for a while and because of personal conditions I left but from someone who's seen everything behind the scenes, I highly suggest this hotel to any customer or anybody who is willing to work and looking for it. Some have said they don't like the location but it's perfect for state festivals and has plenty of restaurants just down the road. If you want anywhere with more in the location you would be stuck in a noisier busier place in town, can't beat it. Great people and you will be treated with respect.

Nice having the option of a three queen room. The bathroom was however very tiny and the mini fridge did not cool very well. Breakfast was very limited. Needs new carpets as they were stained. Otherwise and okay stay for a night. Quiet and comfortable.
