My experience was good. The staff was great. The nurses where super awesome. I was nervous and they eased my anxiety. The nurse and tech after my surgery were out of this world. My nurse feed me ice chips and made me feel so safe. He kept telling was okay. Then my tech came to help me dress and she also made me feel so safe. She was also very helpful. I wish I could have thanked them more. My experience was just so awesome. Thank you all for everything

In early February, 2022 I had surgery at Lovelace Women's Hospital. It was my second surgery there in 6 months. The hospital staff from the moment we walked in to the moment we left all were very good to excellent. They did their jobs and were very helpful and caring. The staff were pleasant and understanding in my situation. The doctors and nurses were fantastic heroes working their butts off! I was treated superbly and I made sure to thank each of them! They are angles here on earth!

If you are a woman of color I do not recommend having your baby here. I almost died in childbirth due to incompetent nurses back in December. The midwife team here is EXCELLENT thus the two stars. However all the issues I encountered could have been easily avoided if the labor and delivery nurses had listened to me as this was my 3rd baby (had other two in a different state). I was completely traumatized by my experience here and would recommend that people who would like to avoid becoming a statistic stay away from this racist place.

Avoid Coco the midwife at all cost. She threatened to take our baby to NICU unless we let them induce. Stating, “You guys don’t want to go home without your baby, do you?” She made multiple threats towards our baby , but that one was the most horrific. My wife proceeded to go into active labor minutes after being threatened and delivered our little boy naturally as planned. At no point in our stay was my wife running a fever or did our son’s heart rate rise. Thank God for nurse Megan she was the best and as was the rest of the staff. This happened back in February and I hesitated to post anything because the Board got involved. Unfortunately I just found out that Coco is still there likely threatening new parents like she did us. I’m disappointed in the Lovelace Board because we spoke with my with multiple nurses and midwives who have said nothing but negative things about Coco. Please be careful and hold your ground. You know what’s best for you.

I am not in the habit of writing bad reviews but my husband's visit to the Lovelace Women's Hospital ER on 7/22/22 was horrible. They were terribly understaffed. There was only one doctor available and even though we waited 7 hours we never saw her. My husband's symptoms were a TIA, small stroke, so this was serious. We waited 3 hours for a room and then 4 hours in the room. He was never given a pillow or blanket. They were oblivious to his diabetes, not checking whether he needed insulin or food during that time. Covid precautions were absent. We finally left. If you value your life, go anywhere else.

This is the 4th time I’ve posted this review, let’s see if they delete it again. I am appalled at what I witnessed in this emergency room the morning of October 18th. While visiting my daughter, who was in a room across from the nurses station, I saw a doctor yell at, berate, intimidate, and threaten a nurse. My daughter’s nurse, Storm, who has been incredible every time my daughter’s chronic condition lands her in the ER. She is the most caring, kind, and knowledgeable nurse we’ve had at any hospital, and especially stands out among the staff at this particular ER. The doctor is Dr Knight, who I later found out would be admitting my daughter to the hospital and worked upstairs (not an ER doctor), who leered over the nurse while she was seated in the nurses station. It was easy to hear him due to his belligerent tone - he demanded that she change a note in a patients medical record. I couldn’t hear what the nurse was saying because she was somehow remaining calm & professional, but I could see how shaken she was the entire time. The doctor demanded that she went with him upstairs, and when she seemed to say no, he was clearly furious. The only thing I heard the nurse say towards the end of this 2-3 minute encounter was that she was going to talk to her director - as the nurse walked out of the department, this doctor followed her so creepily, towering over her in what looked to me to be an attempt to physically intimidate her. This nurse had to work the rest of her twelve hour shift wiping tears from her eyes in between caring for patients. I was watching her in the hallway and in the room where they keep medication. No one stood up for her when it happened, and I counted five staff members seated within a four foot radius of her. No one relieved her to go home, when she was clearly doing her best to work through the distress. We all hear on the news how there are nursing shortages - are we asking ourselves why? The way nurses had to work through COVID, and now the way they’re being treated - not just by rude patients but by doctors?! It’s no wonder hospitals can’t keep good staff. I cannot believe this was allowed to happen. My heart breaks for that sweet nurse. I will continue calling the boards for that doctor and posting this review as many times as needed to sound the alarm - our nurses deserve better.

The staff at Lovelace Woman's Hospital were kind and courteous. I was promptly seen first by a nurse then by other professionals in charge of my procedure. They expressed care and concern about my health issues and set about to prepare me for my procedure. My doctor came in and told what she was going to do and what to expect. I felt I was in the care of professionals that knew what to due and how they were going to proceed. Their care and understanding went a long way to ensure my safety during my procedure. I give five stars to all the staff that took care of me during my visit.

I recently gave birth at Lovelace unfortunately & I was forced to go into a c section because of my bl even after I declined the c section. I requested to keep my placenta & brought my ice chest & after my c section my mother asked for it for us & they gave some excuse that they needed to do something with it first and didn’t give it to us. I ended up having to stay for a longer period of time to recover & we let the nurses know & they said they would hold the placenta for us & we went got released we went to get it and apparently they “threw it away” after I was informed it would be there for me waiting because they declined to give it to me the first time. There is nothing that can replace my experience or give me my placenta back. I cried for days. This was very special and important to me and my family and the horrible lack of communication between staff members and the negligence handling my placenta was stolen that from me. I’ve been waiting for the right time to say something & I feel that is now.

I had a Endoscopy last Friday, 6/24/2022 at approximately 10:30 or so. I’ve never felt more comfortable at a hospital then Lovelace Medical Hospital. The girls that prep me were awesome. My Doctor, Dr. Julie Farrer and her staff were awesome. I usually go to Presbyterian hospital when an emergency, but that changes. I will always go to Lovelace Hospital. They treated me great! Thanks Lovelace Staff! Your awesome, keep up the good work.

It is NO little thing being a medical professional. I AM GRATEFUL for all of you who chose this path. The path to help care for someone who needs it. Grateful for all the countless hours of studies and sacrifice You've completed. It's a challenging profession, thank You. Hope You never have to visit for care but if You do ask to be taken here. Clean, spacious facility. The team that cared for us on our visit exercise consideration.

We went to their ER 12/27/2022 because I got a bad knock to the head and had new symptoms each day since. Waited five hours, called in four times to ask about my symptoms - the doctor asking me two questions and cutting me off both times with an exasperated "I don't have time to listen" tone - only to inform me it sounded like I was improving. This because I said the headaches were less frequent, but before I could tell him my eyesight had begun to blur and I vomited while waiting. Improving? I finally had to leave at 10pm. I had my 8 year old with me, an hour drive home, someone who was driving me there waiting and a dog in the car the whole time that I had to keep letting out for a bit in the parking lot. There were people coughing all over the desks, chairs, walls and not a single time did someone come through and wipe anything down. A guy threw up on the trash can and someone came in, took the trash bags and left the vomit. The floors were smeared with who knows what. Definitely do not recommend. Rude, time consuming, filthy and they called four people who came in after me before me. Will not go there again.

Everyone was outstanding helping me out!All staff demonstrated a high level of care. The check-in was smooth and quick. Triage personnel were polite, professional and quick. Radiology couldn’t have been better except adding another 1/2 REM to my lifetime dose. The attending doctor talked to me at my level which I greatly appreciated. Follow up after my ER visit was excellent including a call from a surgeons office to discuss options. Overall is was as good of an experience as one can expect from a trip to the ER.

I had emergency surgery with Dr. Reagan Riley and she was phenomenal. Her team was great and I couldn't have asked for more compassionate, attentive, knowledgeable, skilled, and personable care. I am so grateful I landed in her care during a rather traumatic experience. Her follow-up post surgery has been top notch. The floor nurses for in-patient care were adequate, nothing to write home about, which is what brought this down to a four star.

All of my labor and delivery nurses were amazing and very attentive. My midwives were very supportive of my autonomy and wishes. The birthing room was great, had the labor balls and peanut. The recovery room was comfortable but small for big families. Liked the discharge class and all of the perks that came with birthing there like a 1 year pass to Explora, cafe vouchers for dad, and a 15 minute massage!

My husband was brought in June 7th, the nurse practitioner acted like he was wasting their time until they got his CBC result back. When they came to tell us they thought it was likely he had Leukemia I was on the phone with my parents and was going to step out. She said "You'll want to hear this." She didn't even wait for me to hang up the phone before she announced he had leukemia and they were planning to transfer him to UNMH. If you're going to drop the worst news of someones life on them, at least let them hang up the phone. They didn't treat my husband very well and they were just anxious to get him in and out. All I can say in their favor was they were fast and they did find what was wrong. I hope they learn how to treat patients better.

Recently gave birth to my second child. The experience at the hospital was amazing. The staff was so kind and took their time explaining everything. Carol was my L&D nurse, absolutely loved our time together. Brenda the midwife helped me have a great birthing experience. Adam did an amazing job with my epidural, the postpartum care was also amazing. After birth I’ve taken advantage of the lactation consultant with Eliza and she helped me so much. Can’t say enough great things about delivering my child there. Especially in a post-Covid era, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Also, thank you to the ladies who gave the hospital tour before birth.

From saving my dad’s life when he had necrotizing fasciitis to the service I received today, Lovelace women’s has been wonderful. I saw Dr.Peloquin and his triage Nurse Terri today. They were both wonderful and made me feel at ease and laugh so much in a stressful situation. Thank you Lovelace women’s hospital!

I had my baby here in September and overall Lovelace was a nice hospital. The ob triage nurses were a little rude and told us to go to a dark room with no other instructions. My husband and I turned on the light and closed the door and waited. I understand they probably were just tired. But the labor nurses are amazing and encouraging and the after care nurses were the same. The mandatory classes in order to be discharged were annoying especially for third time parents. It sucks to have to go to those after you just gave birth and are in pain and stinky and just want to sleep. Lactation was also amazing!

Lovelace Woman’s Hospital outpatient services have been nothing but excellent in service no matter for what service I’ve needed to go there for! Lately it’s been a lot of x-ray-type needs for the doctors to see my insides! X-Ray has always done a perfect job, techs have been so considerate and nice! I really like this place!

My prenatal care in Santa Fe was in my opinion awful. When i was referred to be staying till I birth at 25w I was nervous and scared as a first time mom that they would continue to give me shy nurses who don’t talk and just kinda treat me like a number but they did no such thing. I was so pleasantly surprised with how amazing the staff is. Julie was the best nurse knowing exactly where to find baby since he was so small and moved so much and when I need to turn because my hips were not having it on those beds. She also had a way of calming me down being so amazing. When baby was born at 26w the anesthesiologist (k. Rogers) was so funny and calmed me down and walked me through the whole process as I freaked out internally the whole time. The NICU staff is so amazing we so far have had only one nurse who was a little rude on an off day at work! My partner loves Karen because she was with him and helped him through the whole process as he went with baby when they took him up, she also is so sweet and talkative. I loved the dr Sarah a haves for doing a classical so in the future I have a shot at a vaginal delivery instead of up and down. Next pregnancy in the way future I’m definitely choosing to go straight to Albuquerque and set up all my dr apt with Lovelace.

My daughter delivered her first child at Women's Lovelace and I was so happy and impressed with her care! All of the nurses & techs from Triage to Postpartum were kind, helpful and supportive. Nurses Angel and Kat in Birthing and Delivery were FANTASTIC and key in my daughter's wonderful experience. Women's Specialists Midwives Ann Gabaldon and Alicia Castillo are absolutely amazing! And last but not least, the anesthesiologist, Kyle was so professional, knowledgeable and precise. Overall a great experience, I would def recommend Women's Lovelace Hospital to any expecting mom!

Delivered here and was very pleased with how I was treated. I was treated amazing by all who came across my path. In delivery, Misty was an amazing RN. She was very experienced and gave me much encouragement in delivery. At postpartum, my RN was Janelle. She was eager to help me as I enter the journey of parenthood. She offered great tips and information while always having a welcoming smile. Thank you all for your kindness!

I was in the ER for what I thought was a UTI. I did spend several hours there, but they were able to get a proper diagnosis. The staff was kind understanding. They took the people who needed rooms before me, which is appropriate in an ER. The hardest part was the wait, but there's nowhere in the start that won't have you sitting in the waiting room for at least 3 hours, so I don't blame them. I left understanding my condition and with a note to take a few days off to recover.

I was very please to see the waiting time for this urgent care dramately changed from my last visit (of 4 hours waiting time to thirty minutes), which I was so grateful since I was really sick. The check in staff & Yvonne were excellent. Yvonne completed all test required so provider had all results when she came in & after a though assessment gave me my results & treatment. I was really happy with the changes Because they really have a good team at Lovelace Urgent Care . I'll be sleeping much better to tonight, less coughing & ear pain. Thanks for the great care Agatha Padilla

I was checked in very quickly and everyone was so friendly. They were very reassuring and let me know what was going on and explain things. The doctor was very thorough and quick And his diagnosis and he explained it so very well. He filled me in and I was given all the information for aftercare and everyone make sure I had no more questions before I left.

Professional, friendly, and timely in getting me in for my appointments and performing tests. I had both an MRI and Ultrasound in the last month. Both times the staff were incredibly wonderful in making sure I felt comfortable and understood what they we’re doing and why. Jennifer and Liz specifically are really great at their jobs. Thank you!

I’m 2 weeks postpartum and I am sooo happy I chose Lovelace for my delivery. The nurses and doctors were incredibly loving and caring. Baby never left my side (I had a natural delivery and baby was healthy 😊) and they were attentive to me and baby. I even got a massage the following day after giving birth, and trust me after delivering a 9 lbs baby it was much needed on my body.

My experience varies depending on the set of nurses who were on duty at specific times. I was there for labor and delivery, and most of the nurses/midwives were wonderful. My husband and I had our son there and really appreciated the help of Misty, Cathleen, and Jessica. They were great at getting me through contractions and answering any questions I had regarding my child and the pregnancy. There was a time when a student was being supervised who I felt did not do as great of a job when she was required to take care of me. She had difficulty finding my babies heart rate, and was rough when attaching the monitors on my stomach. When moved into the postpartum section of the hospital after my son was born there were a few nurses who would come into the room in the middle of the night and were really inconsiderate of noise, etc. As new parents you’re going through a lot and are tired from lack of sleep, and a lot of tests are being run on your child which causes extra stress. I think the nurses should be considerate in that most parents are receiving little sleep. They should go into rooms quietly when they can and avoid excessive talking at late hours of the night or being too loud. I think it would be better for them to be as efficient and possible and then leave the room to give the parents a chance to sleep. Also keep in mind that the child itself is going through so much as well, such as his shots, blood work, etc. it’s a huge process and just a little consideration would be nice. Misty really was amazing. She’s a labor and delivery nurse and we couldn’t have done it without her. She was awesome - as well as Cathleen.

After changing to Lovelace from Presbyterian I have never once regretted my decision. They make my concerns feel heard. All the front desk staff have been nice and helpful and I love Dr. Bhatt. He makes me feel like I have support 24/7. Even down to the ultrasound techs that have helped me every single interaction has been positive they make me so confident to deliver my baby there!

My experience with Lovelace was wonderful. I moved here to NM from California and I remember that the hospitals out there they take your baby to another room full of babies. I loved that at Lovelace not once did my son leave our side. Every test or vaccine they had to give him I was present for it all, even his first bath. Our morning nurse ,Heidi, was top of the line with her care for baby and parents. She is very attentive, patient and very informative. In the future when and if we get pregnant again in defiantly coming here and requesting heidi to provide our care.

I had a dislocation of my hip after a hip replacement and had to be transported by ambulance to the Lovelace emergency room. The care was efficient and thoughtful. Rachel who was one of the visiting nurses was extremely good at keeping everyone informed of what was happening. There were some delays after the procedure and getting the x-ray done because of procedures being done in the operating room but that could be understandable. They made sure I was comfortable. The attention to detail for doing the sedation was excellent.

I have had three of my kids at lovelace and have enjoyed every experience even with the challenges presented. The staff are always prompt and extremely friendly. I know I am in the best care there as they have handled any complications with speed and grace. We look forward to having our last kiddo there in the summer. Thanks to all the midwives, nurses, doctors and staff for creating great experiences for my family and myself through the years.
