😠 I would not recommend that anyone deal with this company. Wish there was an option to give no stars. My eyeglasses were covered by my insurance, which the person who fitted me for them confirmed. But months later I got a bill for the total amount. I called them, left a message, as they do not answer... People often mention called, glasses, staff, insurance, Sandia, told, time, appointment, answer, paid,

I would not recommend that anyone deal with this company. Wish there was an option to give no stars. My eyeglasses were covered by my insurance, which the person who fitted me for them confirmed. But months later I got a bill for the total amount. I called them, left a message, as they do not answer the phone, no one called me back. I wrote to them several times and still got no response but I kept receiving bills which I sent back with notes. I even called my insurance company who confirmed that my eyeglasses were covered and they paid the amount requested by Sandia, but it was only a small portion of the total that they billed for. The interesting thing is that the bill they kept sending me did not even reflect the payment they received, it was the original amount! Finally after months someone called me and I explained that they must have billed incorrectly and they should correct it with my insurance company. The woman said she would look into it and get back to me within a week. She never got back to me. Finally the bills stopped coming so I assumed that it was corrected. But today I received a letter from a collection agency!! I am very upset with what I see as their incompetence and total disregard. I have excellent credit and I should not have to be dealing with this.

The doctors are fine but the reception billed my insurance incorrectly resulting in a "leftover" fee. I know my insurance and benefits well, so I knew that the fee I had paid originally was what I owed. To my surprise, I get a collections letter saying I owe Sandia Vision over $100. I pay it on the spot to clear up the issue, but checked in with my insurance. Sandia Vision stated they charged me more because I didn't buy contacts with them. So now I'm out more than twice my co-pay and no contacts. But then I find that my insurance did reimburse them for my visit - so they were paid twice - once by me and once by insurance. I still haven't received a refund. I won't be going back.

I visited the Nob Hill location and was pleasantly surprised at the accessibility of the location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As soon as I finished putting together and getting into my wheelchair I was greeted by a staff member holding the door open for me and was promptly checked in. Dr. Sandoval and her staff were attentive to my needs as a wheelchair user and my concerns about my vision and thoroughly explained what I should expect with my prescription and glasses order. This was, by far, a much better experience than I have had with other clinics and optometrists in years past.

I made an appointment at the Nob Hill location, the earliest I could get was two months away. After waiting those two months they called me before my appointment they called to inform me that my insurance would not pay for the examination. This is incorrect information; they tried to pull the same stunt on my daughter. I wound up cancelling my appointment because I do not like being ripped off. If they can\t get this part right, then why should I trust them with my vision. No thanks.

What a ripoff! Their prices are outrageous and no one really explains the billing process. The front desk staff are rude, unaccomodating and condescending. They don't answer the phone and don't return calls either. My advice, go elsewhere for your eyecare needs.

This is the worst place I've ever been for eyecare. The doc doesn't seem to know anything as well as the staff she hired. Rude, even if they say it with nice voice. I'd go anywhere else.

It's only four stars just because it's kind of pricey. But it's also worth it. The staff was really nice, the doctor was very, very thorough. I have never left a vision clinic before without a headache and having trouble focusing until now. I think they caught something that no other obstetrician has ever bothered to catch since everywhere else I've been was super rushed. So I am very pleased with just how incredibly thorough they were in making sure that everything was looked at and correct. But yes it is kind of pricey even with insurance. But I guess you get what you pay for, right?

I ordered prescription sunglasses from this place, 4 weeks ago. They told me they'd be ready within 3 weeks. The 3rd week came and Chris told me that he called the lab and my shades were gonna be delayed another week because they were working on the second layer of coating on the ombre tones, that were supposed to be on the lenses. I called on the 4th week to find out if they'd arrived. Chris told me that they were delivered to Eubank and a courier was going to deliver them to nobhill and they wouldn't be available for pick up until Monday. So I called Eubank and after a brief time on hold, she told me she spoke with Chris from nobhill and my glasses were already there and ready for pick up. This was 5 minutes after I hung up with Chris and he told me they wouldn't be available until Monday. So I went to pick up my very expensive sunglasses that I've needed for work, and the lenses were completely black. No ombre like the display had. They went from looking classy shiek to looking like I bought them at dollar general. So I asked the woman who had given them to me, why the lenses were black instead of ombre. She said "did you ask for them to make them ombre"? I'm like well I assumed they'd come back to me looking exactly like they did on the display. I certainly wouldn't think I needed to ask and I most definitely was not asked, while my order was being placed. So now I have to wait at least another 4 weeks for the correct lenses. I was supposed to move out of state weeks ago but have had to struggle to find a way to stay here so I can get my glasses. They keep offering to mail them to me but luckily I'm an intelligent person and know that if I allow them to mail them to me in another state, I'll have to go through a different company to get them fitted to my face, thus voiding the warranty. Of course they themselves don't mention that. I guess they'd rather just let you get messed over when you try and use your warranty. What kind of mickey mouse operation is this place?

I am in town for a month and have never been here before. I have an older set of glasses with me and no back ups. A screw striped out that holds the lens in. Sandia vision was very close to me and not a chain. I stopped in, I was greeted right away and helped right away. The young man that helped me fixed both of the failed/failing threads that hold the lenses in. While waiting i looked around, the place is clean and has a large selection of glasses frames. The staff is friendly. If I needed eye glasses I would give this place a try

I understand how hard and hectic it can be to work with the public. We all experience good days and bad days but Sandia Vision--Nob Hill has been consistently rude and unprofessional. Plus, the wait times are outrageous. My son and I were "overlooked" in the waiting room (for the second time) for over 30 minutes until I asked a young man in the eye glass section for help. During my son's appointment the young woman assistant seemed annoyed and rushed out. Save your money and your self-respect--please go somewhere else. (I don't normally write reviews but this place deserves it. I would give it no stars if possible).

This place is great. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. Denise, I believe she is front desk, is such a friendly person. She took the time to help me and answer all of my questions. I will definitely continue to do business here. The doctor took her time and explained everything she did and why. The people at the optical area were also very helpful. I called to check on the status of my contact lenses and they were able to get me an extra pair until mine came in. Such wonderful people. Will be back for my next exam! A proud customer for 2 years now!!!

I called in advance for an appointment, three weeks out. I asked if they took my insurance and was told they did. When I got there they did a complete evaluation $240.30 then came the adds. I got UV protection and an anti reflective coating. total cost including amount insurance paid, $539.28. My pay was $182.89. Other opticians charge $79.95 + glasses. Be aware, very aware. Glasses copay was only $30.00

love it when you’ve been waiting for you glasses for almost a month! each time i call Sandia Vision Clinic they put me on hold and hang up on me. or i have to call on blocked numbers for them to answer because they do not answer my calls when i call from my phone. i have to have my mother call in for me because they refuse to talk to me. i paid for my glasses may 11 , called them may 25 to see what the status was on my glasses and they told me their system didn’t detect my payment. so they had to look for it. then they told me it would be rushed in to be made and not they are not answering my calls and making excuses to not speak with me. i paid almost $80 for my glasses. i legit never make posts like this but i am almost -4 in one eye and my current glasses are falling apart. it’s become a safety hazard for me with my vision. i called to ask and speak with a manager named kristen, they put us on hold for 8+ minutes and came back to tell us she was “in a meeting”. this is unacceptable.

Liked the staff but they never answered the phone, never returned my calls and WOULD NOT UNLOCK THE DOOR to let me in to pay for my original order. A customer who stood in front of the desk kept looking at me but the woman seated behind the desk wouldn't. You have to be buzzed in. I don't think I look scary or homeless or like an addict; I'm an old lady on social security. What are they so scared of? I won't be back.

We decided to give Sandia Vision a try. I called days ahead to reschedule a appointment for my son due to an unforeseen reasons out of our control and the front desk woman was rude and said they require a $39 deposit to schedule another appointment. It’s bad business to treat new patients this way, we will find another optometrist. Very disappointed.

The first time I went here was fine - staff was pleasant, they offered an alternative test to having my eyes dilated (for an upcharge), and I felt good about the experience. The second time I went was for a LASIK evaluation. I did this based on the fact that they have an entire page on their website detailing how they can do pre-evaluations, they have a surgery center they work closely with, and can offer post-op appointments. Through the whole process though, the entire staff - including the doctor - seemed confused about what they were supposed to be doing. They gave me the wrong tests for the pre-op evaluation, including the upcharge option. They attempted to sell me new glasses. On top of the general incompetence, they were rude through the entire experience. I certainly won't be returning.

After having come here for over a decade for my eye care needs, I had decided to take my business elsewhere. This sorry excuse for a clinic is terrible. They NEVER answer your phone calls or return your voice mails. I can't tell how many times I've tried to get a hold this business over the last year and how frustrating it is to get somebody to help you. They just let the phones ring, I guess, while they sit around being worthless gossips. You have to go in person. They never took away their covid-era policy of locking their doors. You have to be buzzed in still. The doctors and staff are constantly rotating so if you want somebody whose familiar with your care, you feel like you have to explain your situation all over again. All in all, it's too bad. I used to like this place. But now it just yet another business that is part of the new normal: low quality customer service.

I had a great experience at Sandia Vision Clinic. I was scheduled right away. The staff and Dr were all super informative and welcoming. I was able to check my eye health without having to get my eyes dilated, which was a huge plus. I was in and out without any issues. I will always come here for my vision needs.

Great experience today! I felt like I didn't have to do anything, Logan, and girls in reception were all pleasant, friendly and I was out of there in no time. Can't wait for my new glasses! 🤓

😠 The doctors are amazing, but the front desk staff and people answering the phones are horrible. They disvalue you and your child's care. 👍👍 Had the arm of my glasses snap off and the place I purchased them said they were a few months out of warranty and wanted to charge me for another frame to fix the issue (would have been upwards of $200) Came here and for $40 (and it took almost 15 minutes!) and they were good as new. Highly recommen...

😠 I saw Kevin Sitko. He seems like a great doctor. However after discovering how they process billing to your insurance company I’ll never step foot in this place again. My $50 copay has turned into $200. Why? Because they don’t submit the appropriate billing codes to your insurance. I’ve been arguing...
