Had an appointment in early May cancelled because the doctor called out and rescheduled for middle of June. Received a call this morning cancelling my appointment again because the doctor called out and the earliest they can see me is now the End of July and at a different location. It is incredibly aggravating that Duke City Primary Care can cancel your appointment out of the blue and then have no good way for you to come in and see a doctor in a reasonable amount of time. That fact that this keeps happening and that they do not have a system set up to get people in who have been waiting after a sudden cancelation makes it appear that the patient is not their highest priority. Awful experience with this primary care and I haven't even been there yet.

Several months in advance, I setup an appointment for first visit with a primary care doctor. I arrived for the appointment and was informed the doctor had left the practice. I received no email or phone call informing me I needed to make other arrangements. Receptionist said something about the computer system had been changed and some people were not notified about the physician leaving. This shows extremely poor management. They likely knew the physician was leaving some time in advance. Someone could have simply printed the appointment schedule and made sure patients were informed by email and phone call.

I got established here because Dr. Stuart has a background that I thought would be suited to me specifically. There have been a few catches along the way though. One has been that he's impossible to get in to see. In 2 years, I have seen him only 2 times, once being on day one of getting established in the clinic. Most recently I have been rescheduled three times to get in for an annual physical/follow up, and almost 8 months later than my initially requested appointment. To their credit, they're more than willing to try to get me in to see another provider, but frankly if I wanted to see just any doctor I'll go to an urgent care. If you value a patient/provider connection, I'm not sure I would recommend this joint. Another catch has been on the billing side. Because Dr Stuart was listed as a sports medicine specialist, it took months of work to get the billing corrected for my primary care visits. Both times the billing needed correcting, and unfortunately difficult endeavor.

Hello, I am letting you know of ridiculous situation that your clinic put me in today. I was given paperwork indicating that I needed to be at the Los Lunas clinic after 9:00 AM by Wednesday, October 4th. I, like many of you, work for a living, so I chose today to request the time off to give the urine sample. I arrived at 9:00 and was turned away because the person that does this service wasn't in until 11:00 AM. Fair enough, so I went to back to work and returned at 11:00 only to be turned away again because this person called in. The people at the office were of no help, and the person I got ahold of on the phone was rude and also useless. In addition, the email to reach out for this type of complaint doesn't work either. In the future, please consider not offering services you clearly can't provide. also, due to the rudeness I encountered on the phone, I will be leaving appropriate reviews on all platforms so as to let everyone know the quality of your service. I would suggest reaching out to me with a BIG apology and suggestions to make this right.

I’ve been with Duke City for a few years. The receptionist are rude! I called today because I’m sick and was meet with a receptionist that was just unnecessarily rude. If I knew her name I could mention it she sounded like she had a cold herself maybe that’s why she was an attitude, but if that’s the case take the day off don’t take whatever your going though out on patients. My primary is great and when she moves I’ll be following her. I have nothing positive to say about Duke City.

I had a negative experience with Duke City Primary Care. I called to set up an appointment to establish care with a provider. (I was on hold for over 20 minutes). I took the soonest appointment - two months out. After waiting two months I arrived at my appointment to learn that the provider does not prescribe birth control. I'm a 31 year old woman and was not informed of this prior to the appointment. I have since received a $500 bill for an out of network lab test. I initially thought this was completely erroneous because I declined all lab work but have learned that this bill is for a simple urine dip that happened in office in a matter of minutes but is being billed as an out of network lab test. (Currently appealing this.) I waited months for my appointment, was informed that my provider did not provide basic care, and am now dealing with an extremely inflated bill. I'm left feeling that this provider is trying to maximize profits with little regard for patient outcomes.

My experiences here have been above and beyond anything I would have ever expected! I've been coming to this practice for just about a year after having transferred across the country from the Atlanta, GA area. My husband and I both see Christie Domme, and let me tell you- fellow humans just don't get any kinder than her! She is intelligent, generous with her time in listening to you and your needs, patient and kind, downright friendly and just an all around great human being! Vince and I are so grateful for her and all that she does to keep us up to date in our yearly exams and our in between visits. Thank you Miss Christie! YOU ARE THE BEST!

This place is so incredibly insensitive to patients. The overall rude staff, rude doctors is unbearable. If you’re looking for a new primary or urgent care don’t bother looking here. They will never provide any quality care at duke city in los Lunas. I cannot believe how we’ve been treated so horrible by the staff and doctor. All they want is money. Duke city does not care about you as a patient. Don’t bother signing up for health care because it’s all a scam for the money hungry company. They have absolutely no compassion for patients. 👎🏼

They cancelled my appointment without informing me. I scheduled over three months ago to get an appointment with a physician here. In pain the entire time--counting down the weeks to my appointment because these are issues urgent care can do nothing for (need continuity of care). Today, the day of my appointment, they tell me that the provider Dr. Luu cancelled my appointment months ago and nobody informed me. So now instead of 3 months to get help, I'm now looking at an additional 3 months to see any physician in this city. I'm in tears. I wonder if they did this to me is because I gave a very well deserved (and not given lightly) bad review to one of their providers in Cedar Crest, but to do something like this as some sort of retribution--messing with someone's timely access to medical care--is inexcusable and heartless. Best case scenario would be if she just thought I was established at the other location, but still, if you cancel a person's medical appointment, you inform them! Period. I'm extremely worried and even afraid my body is gonna endure permanent damage waiting months longer for another physician that I would have scheduled months ago if I'd been informed.

Dr Christie and he MA Desiree were not there to help me. The MA took it upon herself but to check my urine and a couple days later I ended up in emergency room with something that could have been prevented. The MA kept going in the room bothering the doctor, so the doctor left without doing my exam. The MA gave me the complete wrong referral than the doctor told her but the MA said she thought her referral was better. So I left mad and untreated. Worst care ever. That doctor was usually good but the MA was horrible and made things worse on the doctor and myself. I was told to look into a suit because the MA not checking things the doctor told her to. Caused painful problems because she did her own thing. I am still a patient with this clinic but with a different doctor. Hopefully this one's better with a better MA that knows, she's NOT the doctor.

Medical care is now all about the money not the patient care. I called to request for assistance and some suggestions how to help my elderly mother. I asked to leave a message and was told we had to schedule an appointment and was asked, “do you expect the doctor to work for free?” I understand how things work but compassion and kindness would be nice. Not disrespect and attitude I am deeply saddened that doctors don’t care anymore and elderly care is not a priority. If you have an elderly parent and looking for a provider, this is not the place to come. They are too busy understaffed and burned out to care. I am very disappointed.

The doctor cancelled last minute on me yesterday and asked to reschedule. I was able to re-schedule but the doctor missed our phone appointment. I keep trying to speak to someone there but can only get through to billing or scheduling(after a very long wait) the automated machine will transfer you and then hang up if you try to go to any other connection . I was never told that my original doctor was no longer there. I now have to start over with someone new. Created a patient portal profile and don't get responses. This is just the recent problems I have had. I don't recommend this place.

I used to receive exceptional care but now the receptionists and MAs are new and no matter how much kindness and respect you give them they return with snotty attitudes. When I stand up for myself or clarify it just gets worse. It is unprofessional, bad bed side manner and I will no longer be having my care here. This is wrong.

I am very happy with the care I receive. The entire staff is very kind, knowledgeable, and supportive. I have recommended my care provider to everyone one I know because I want the people I love having the best health care available. I have never felt rushed or dismissed at Duke City Primary Care. They do a great job keeping me and my family healthy! Five Stars!

I’m frustrated with Duke City Primary care.Montgomery office. The only telephone number you can reach the office is a number that offered you choices of a location and then you’re on hold for at least 10 minutes. They don’t have a direct line. I also had a voicemail asking them to call them back. No name or what it was about. It took me 15 minutes to get in touch with them. I would have appreciated if they could have left a message with that information. The staff has not been friendly, and it feels the P.A.s don’t really treat you. I like my PA, but I felt he didn’t add any any information to my questions, or give me feedback.

Very frustrating that primary care physicians do dont stay put for longer than a year anymore. No notice sent out, that they leave so you can reestablish so you can be seen when you are in need. My first visit was almost exactly one year ago, my 2nd was 6 months after that. When this information was presented to me, it was as if i was the dummy for not constantly visiting the doctor. Whoever answered the phone was very short and unwilling to answer my questions. Very frustrating situation I find myself in time and time again.

Poor patient experience. They canceled my appointment 15 minutes before it started. This was not communicated to me, so I still made the drive to their office. This is after waiting for 3 months to even get an appointment. They also did not have any additional coverage, so I was unable to been seen by a provider. They were then rude and matter fact about it, like it somehow didn't inconvenience me at all. If you are looking for a patient forward experience, I'd strongly urge you to look else where.

Excellent help from the front desk. The assistant who got me ready for the visit was capable and professional. The Primary Care Physician, Heather Dountas, was professional, compassionate and proficient. Her expertise in various areas was apparent and she took care of all of my concerns.

I really like John Panter as my new PCP. He takes the time to listen and doesn't rush you. What I am not fond of though is the 2 hour after my appointment time wait to see him. If it wasn't for the wait time I would have give them 5 stars.

My mother has been going to Duke City for about 4 years and from day 1 she has had nothing but problems! She likes her doctors ans the staff is usually polite and courteous but they can't ever get her medications called into the pharmacy right or even at all! She is diabetic and has gone for weeks without her meds! This is completely unacceptable!

Best care you could ever receive. Both the medical assistants and providers will actually listen to you needs and will provide what is needed. You can't find a better place around. John Panter is the best provider you could ever receive. He and the staff is the best. Keep up the great work and care. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you!!!!!

I have been going to Duke City Primary Care since they opened. The quality and standard of care with Duke City is the best in New Mexico. Professionalism, caring, competence from the receptionist to the doctor and anyone you deal with there. Anytime I have felt I had an issue I spoke with the person and all was resolved. I see an atmosphere of true desire to offer the best care, learn from any issues and be better! Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Had an appointment called stating I was running late told there was a 10 minute grace after the appointment. I signed in nobody at desk she came back helped the other person and then spent time on computer while I was waiting they canceled my appointment. The receptionist was aware I had been there but refused to contact the back to see me so I now can be seen in end of September

Very happy with John and Kay over the years. Feels like we're just going to see friends when we visit. I moved out of state and still drive here for specific treatments. Front-end staff charges out with some frequency and can be a bit indifferent.

Mikayla Johnson Is a phenomenal primary care provider. I have worked with many over the years and none were as attentive as she is. She has a sense of urgency to help where help is needed and is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Most of my previous providers took their time and didn't push to make things happen, she does.

I have had a bad experiences with (Duke City primary Care) from day one I've had a hard time I'm talk down not talk too. I was seeing Brent and nothing was getting done I have a lot of medical issues and it's hard to get better 2hwn doctors keep living Albuquerque. Then I transferred Dr Luu thinking she was going to be better but no she was not any better she kept me waiting in the Patience room for 30 minutes . Then she send a helper in asking me questions without looking at my history. Then I was never told that Dr. Luu was going to leave never got a letter in the mail never got a phone call in till I call to ask a question did I knew she was leaving. This place is about money not You're wellness...I called today 4 times for 30 minutes waiting I can't get through to reschedule and no one answers the line ...

Dr. Luu is one of my favorite doctors. Being in my 70’s I’ve had quite a few primary doctors. She is thorough and explains what is going on in a conversational way. I have recommended her to my friends.
