A new coffee spot has come out of the pandemic full roast Ahead. I can say I really enjoyed their brew. I always try to get something simple so I can actually taste the coffee and it did not disappoint. Americano with nothing in it. Great tasting coffee aroma and that caffeine boost I was looking for on the weekend.

Lovely coffee but we were charged $2 each for a breve upgrade on $5 lattes. After chatting with the barista a bit she told us it’s Rasband dairy and the price is high. Obviously understandable but $2 seemed a little excessive. Saw 1 pint of Rasband at Sprouts for $2.69. Disappointing to be gouged by a great local coffee shop that otherwise was a wonderful experience.

The staff is kind, patient, and knows exactly what they're doing. It is a welcoming and warm place that I am happy to live so close to. Their chai is some of the best around.

This might be one of my favorite study spots in ABQ- the iced matcha with oat milk is fabulous(though if you are on a budget they do charge 1.30$ to change to oat milk- starbucks charges around 0.70$ for comparison). Wifi is reliable- you have to be strategist with seating if access to power plug is needed but most of the seats have them. The bathrooms are very nice and overall just a very cozy spot. (Ooh pups are also allowed so that can be fun or something to keep in mind incase you are allergic) seating in general is nice- there is a wide variety from window benches to couches to tables of various shapes! Some outdoor seating available but only really great until before noon d/t there being no shade. One thing to note is that currently there is no A/C so on the warmer afternoons it can get a little toasty inside- today however they did seemingly have more fans inside which helped with the temperature and provided a lovely white noise background. You should check it out and enjoy!

Absolutely delicious specialty lattes and chai lattes! Definitely a hidden gem in Albuquerque 🙂 Breakfast burritos are worth trying and pairs excellently with the coffee! Awesome vibe here too.

Really great roasting and coffee. Hands-down the best regular old latte in Albuquerque. Staff is friendly and service is surprisingly fast compared to other 3rd wave coffee institutions in this city. There's ample space indoors to spread out and get work done or meet with a small group. Out doors has ample retro patio furniture. Highly recommended!

Cute coffee shop! Simple menu but sometimes keeping simple allows for some great quality. That's what you'll find at Slow Burn. They have wifi and lots of tables. Overall, great space to work or catch up with a friend over a cup of coffee.

Really cute coffee spot in Albuquerque! We stopped here while passing through town, got a couple vanilla oat milk lattes and the lucky 13 latte, were not disappointed!

Super nice, and the Cafe mocha was smooth and not too sweet. They had it in a mug, which is my favorite way of drinking my latte. Delicious 🥰

A neighborhood coffeeshop with hipster attitude from workers. Price point on the higher side. There is a simple menu with seasonal specials. They have seating inside and outside. Since this is in a quiet neighborhood, a lot of street parking.

Excellent location, beautifully kept space, and well-extracted espresso! Passing through and glad I stopped here :) Only thing I didn’t vibe with was the customer service.

Finally got a chance to stop in for a coffee and I was not disappointed. The latte was rich and creamy without being cloyingly sweet and obstructing the coffee taste. The Mexico Ek Balam (washed process) pour over is easy to drink, very light acidity and mellow but with a full coffee flavor. One sip and I closed my eyes and thanked the java gods and finished my cup in no time. I ordered a second cup and promised myself to savor it. Slowing down, I began to feel the warm mellow vibes. The staff is very friendly and helpful in explaining their menu which, is a rotating menu and keeps the choices fresh and away from the same old daily grind, if you'll pardon the java parlance. Yes, I love coffee and yes, I'll be visiting this place as often as I can.

Nice offbeat atmosphere, very urban crowd. Baristas are very businesslike and efficient. Space is clean, very clean bathrooms. Food is good and fresh.

Great smooth & potent coffee, best drip coffee you’ll ever experience. Even when it’s quite busy, there’s always seems to be an open seat and table. Their roaster sits prominently in the middle of the store, rather than hidden in a back room. Hope to catch them roasting some green beans sometime.

I visit coffee shops in every city I go to. I think this one has the best coffee I've ever tasted. The folks are really decent and inviting also.

Rude staff, small portions, asked for no ice they told me no. Have had multiple rude encounters with staff, seems like they don’t wanna work or they don’t want you to be there.Went for a vegan burrito and Horchata. When I asked them if I could have Horchata with no ice they told me that they already made the drink and then handed it to me. Take in mind this is a premade drink; all they have to do is pour it in a cup. I am a barista and I have never seen staff treat customers in this way.Previously my friend dropped some thing and asked for paper towels to clean up,They seemed unfazed and handed us a few napkins. Would not recommend, have heard bad things about this place from a lot of locals.(Sorry for typo, wrote this on my phone with voice)

Nice little coffee shop the locals seem to love. I didn't see any cookies or snacky things behind the counter so I asked and the employees said they had some locally made bars of some kind but maybe they were a day older than they're supposed to sell them and so they reached into the fridge and gave me one for free. It was wonderful and exactly what I needed. Coffee was great.

Good food and drinks. Friendly staff. High quality drinks. The matcha is seriously good quality. It’s smooth and flavorful with an easy, sustained energy boost. I had mine with oat milk and it’s one of the best matcha lattes I’ve ever had. My friends all had 3 different coffees and everyone was super happy with their drinks. They serve them at the perfect temp. Hot enough to actually be hot but not so hot that sensation in the tip of my tongue is a pleasant memory. It was a little frustrating that I couldn’t find their menu online but I think that’s because it changes. The staff was genuinely friendly and they’re knowledgeable about their coffee/products. The breakfast burritos were pre-made but really good. I had a vegan burrito with pintos, potatoes and vegan cheese and it was delicious and big and the fillings were well seasoned but not too salty. I split mine with my friend and it was a comfortable amount of food for both of us. Great place with a cool atmosphere. Highly recommend.

It's a nice quiet place and I loved the vibes! But the main issue was that the horchata, and matcha tea wasn't very good. There was more milk in it than anything. The staff was nice and lovely. The drinks weren't good though which was a downer.

Came in to grab a couple bags of whole bean coffee and a latte. There were 2 baristas behind the counter, but without even being asked what kind I wanted bagged, I was instructed to come back after 3pm if I wanted anything like that. Pretty dismissive attitude. I really liked this company when I visited them at the Coffee & Chocolate Festival, but if acting like you don't need the business is the idea of customer service, the best I can do is wish them luck for the future. We won't be back.

Great coffee. Smooth flavor. Excellent service. What more could you want?!

  • 3/5 A. J. 1 year ago on Google
The baristas weren't friendly, the A/C must've been off or broken because it was about 80 degrees inside. The mugs are actually bowls that don't have handles, so your fingertips burn when your coffee is still hot. The alternative is waiting for your coffee to cool down, but I like hot coffee to be hot. On the bright side, the coffee shop is well decorated, the espresso tastes good, and there is an outlet at every table.
