Interesting first time at The Salt Yard! We went on a somewhat busy Saturday night with friends for some drinks and live music. Upon going in, there are about 5 security guards standing there ready to check ID’s, then you have to go through a metal detector, while you empty out all of your pockets and get your bag searched (yes, they go through your stuff so be mindful). So MAJOR security checks here which was both a good and a bad thing. For people who smoke, you’re not allowed to bring any of it inside, (this includes vapes) and will be asked to put it in your car or throw it away so heads up. BE MINDFUL, THEY CHARGE UPON ENTRY. For us, it was $15/person on Saturday. **You get a wristband, and CANNOT LEAVE AND COME BACK, because they make you take off your wristband before leaving.** Once inside you’re able to go left or right. Left takes you towards the big main indoor bar areas and the main outdoor area. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors on this side, as well as many cool outdoor game tables and activities for those who are interested. Right side of the building takes you to the small bar, mini basketball nets, foosball, skee-ball, a dance floor (where the live music is), and a mini outdoor area. Pros outweigh the cons of this place for sure! Had only one jerk of a bartender when we first arrived, as he rolled his eyes and treated everyone really rudely like he didn’t want to be there. So that set the mood (hence the 4 stars) as I agree with the reviews stating some of them are rude. All the female bartenders were super sweet and helpful, and the drinks were great. Overall a nice place and it was a fun experience for the first time. It will probably be better in the summer months, so will be back then to check it out when it’s warmer for outdoor activities!

What is up with this place. I work up at Intel and there are 2000 construction workers there. I would think this place should be packed every day by 430. We got there at 5 and sat at a table 10 feet from the bar. The bartender was at the other end talking to the manager. Instead of coming down and even talking to us from behind the bar, the manager walked all the way across the room and told us we had to go to the bar to order drinks. There was no one else in the place. Horrible service. No wonder there was nobody there. They are missing an opportunity to have a booming happy hour business if they could just have good service. I think their days are numbered.

One of the best venues in Albuquerque. Plenty of servers and staff. A great place to have drinks and play fun games like cornhole ,Jenga. Make sure to book your tickets in advance for the shower and arrive early on day of shows. Any other time it’s a breeze to get in and out. Parking can be a problem on days the venue is busy. Security is also always on top of things.

Fun place to visit! Staff were super nice. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Live music. Tacos 🌮 were outstanding, good selection of 🍺 and cider. We recommend trying it here! We will come back again. Family friendly! Lots of parking. Taco plates are around $12 for 3 tacos. There are also outdoor games such as corn hole!

I’m afraid I cannot recommend this venue. We went to see a drag show last night, and the show itself was everything I wanted, but the venue was poorly managed. Some adjustments were made during the night after some customers complained that helped make things more comfortable, but these were things that should have been done at the outset. Here were the main issues: 1. Not enough bartenders. The line was incredibly slow and long. 2. Then, they did add another line by letting people who got in line after us form a line. To be clear, they started this new line from the middle of the line we were already in, so people who were behind us in line got drinks before we did. After we had been waiting 30 minutes in line for a drink, it just seemed really unfair. A man behind us was so mad and kept groaning to us and his own party that he couldn’t believe it. 3. This is the biggest one, which is crowd control. It was…lacking. We paid extra for table seats near the front, and so many people who didn’t pay for the seats just came and stood in our space and in front of us. Someone (maybe a manager?) asked the people to move back a couple of times and we had to kind of barricade ourselves in. I didn’t see the first part of the show very well and nearly got into a fight with a drunk woman who came to the front and danced for about half the show, standing in front of my table and bumping me a lot as she danced. I tried to be polite, and she did move after someone complained, but it took too long and made me really uncomfortable. I regret spending the extra money. I loved the show, but overall the experience still ended up being soured for us and seemed pretty unfair. It just doesn’t seem to be that nice of a venue, so take your money elsewhere. (Edits were for clarification and to change my rating to one star. Upon further reflection, two stars was far too generous of me. This was about a week ago.)

This is a very large venue. I have been to the Salt Yard East several times. I never thought anything could top that. I was wrong. The Salt Yard west is amazing. Plenty of seating, games, TV's and beverages choices. Good place for kids, families, friends and singles.

Would never return here. The cook was the one taking orders so the like was really long and when I got to the front, I was told they were out of cheese so they couldn’t do nachos yet they were doing cheese fries??? Anyway, the cook/cashier was extremely rude and unprofessional. I gave my entire order but she was paying attention to the games going on behind me so she had me repeat the order…twice. The tables were all dirty and and food on the floor. I’m sure the games are fun but someone is always on them so didn’t get to play. The food…so gross and greasy. Btw- cashier was wearing same gloves to handle the food as she was accepting payment. All of this place was just a no.

I annoyed the bartender by ordering drinks.... then I had the audacity to use a gift certificate. Bartender went from annoyed to extremely rude. I did leave a tip, but was reminded that tips should be for good service and not the attitude we received. Not sure if I want to go back anytime soon, but I do have more gift certificates that need to be used before December.... decisions need to be made

My daughter went to a rave there on a Saturday night. She told me that the place was selling water for $4 in the under 21 area while it was $1 at the bar. Because of that she went without & risked dehydration. Not a place I’d return to for any event. They need to take care of their customers better.

Food, drinks and atmosphere are excellent! Management staff is terrible. Probably shouldn’t treat people horribly based on what you assume their political affiliation is. My husband was immediately judged by his attire by someone in management and the way we were greeted and spoken to reflected it. We were considering hosting a large company event there but have decided against it now.

AC Slater did not disappoint, happy I was in town for a function and this was a perfect Saturday night. Huge establishment and great customer service.

First time there and had no idea what to drink since there was no menu. Asked the bartender to make me something with tequila and it came out amazing. Security was also helpful in making sure my party had plenty of water bottles

The Salt Yard West is my Cheers. I love coming here. From the fun games to the live music and DJs. The bar staff here is awesome. My Wife and l love Jaycee the best and sweetest bartender around. Some of my favorite people here in New Mexico Stephanie and Big Ben (managers)Ian, Daisia. Karla, Jackie bartenders love them all. Also the bar back Kevin is super cool too sports. They have food here but it's not a restaurant it's a place to hang out with friends and enjoy yourself. I recommend everyone l talk to to come here and hang out have a little patience cause the line gets long on certain nights but it's worth it. They have a new manager here Andrew, nice guy and easy to talk to. Just be aware this is not the place to come if you expect to sit at a table and be served it's a backyard style hangout with friends type of a place.

What a horrible experience. This was our first and last time here. We stopped in wanting to get a couple of drinks before the Ice Cube concert. When we ordered drinks I asked if they had a drink menu I received a very rude "No". I didn't want to order anything after that but my husband insisted since he had already ordered a beer. The ended up making me a drink. We went on to order food which was nothing spectacular. Again, the person working the grill was not friendly at all. The tables were dirty, the outside area was just messy. The bathroom was dirty. I definitely wouldn't recommend.

Great atmosphere, great bar staff who know how to take care of their customers, but the food was sub par, and the service at the deli was not great. What made up for it was how they have created an awesome vibe for the football fans, which is what I was there for. I’ll be back, it’s a great place to watch a game.

A great place for a large gathering of people to watch sports. One thing that was odd, no servers, only 1 bartender and the soda lines definitely need a good cleaning. The rail soda tasted 'off'

Love this place and the people!! They treat you like family!! Kevin, Karla, Mikey, Dasia, Stephanie, Ben and Andrew are always going the extra mile to make your experience a positive one!! Great place to have a company event or private party too.. Tons of space inside and outside!! It’s a 10 out of 10 for us ❤️

👍👍 Awesome super unique theater! We have never been to a theater that has a self serve food court which we found to be extremely efficient, fast, and convenient! Food was awesome by the way, and hot. Seats were clean and comfortable with the reclining feature. Theater privacy in each row was awesome, a...
