The atmosphere of this place is fantastic! I enjoyed the music, and when I attended live concerts there, they were great. The drinks were good, the prices acceptable, and the decor is pretty cool. The Irish Rover is perfect for a group get-together. Where they have some room for improvement is in the food. While it was not bad, it was nothing memorable, nothing special.

Stopped in for some dinner while watching the Real Madrid match on the telly. Got the chicken wings with the Korean sauce; tasty.

A huge two floor pub, with screens on both. Definitely got the vibe of a pub/bar you might find in the UK. I didn't try the food but there is lots of seating available for this. This pub is also just a stone's throw for the Santiago Bernabéu. When I visited they had both Spanish and English football matches showing. There is also a big garden/terrace on the top floor. A great option if you want to catch the football with your mates. The Irish Rover has a great atmosphere and i will definitely return in the future.

Nice and busy place 👍 The service is really nice, they even found us a table so we could watch the game, although when we came everything was booked 🫶 thanks! The food is good if it's hot but some things were cool or cold, and our camembert in nachos wasn't melted 😔 Great selection of beer and drinks 🍺🍸 The prices are a bit higher than elsewhere but still reasonable 😜

Have been here with some colleagues as part of a business trip to Madrid. Very good atmosphere and a large variety of drinks and food. Service staff is friendly and responsive. Fair prices. Would come back anytime when back in Spain.

I totally recommend this place. I chose it to celebrate a company event (50-60 people) and it was an absolute success: friendly and proactive staff, good music, awesome vibe, different areas, etc. Jara was the person who attended me and helped me to organize the event: honest, friendly, flexible, available, etc. I paid 50eu/person for a 3-hour free bar including food/snacks. Great place to celebrate any event!!!!!

Very nice place with normal popular music. The music is superloud so communication is very hard. It is more like a club than a pub! The only thing irishpub like is the decoration. Also it gets really really crowded and finding a spot to stand is hard.

Great staff, food and wide variety of drinks. My only complaint is the music is diabolical. Absolute garbage music by some dj catering for teenagers who probably don't spend a cent in the place while the real patrons have to suffer. No Irish spirit here whatsoever. Doesn't make sense

Not recommended. Nice decoration but terrible organization and attention from staff. Avoid at all cost if there is a sports event on that day because they lack of any capacity to handle it

The place is perfect for a drink and dinner! The environment is super good, good music, environment very cool and the food very good, we went on Saturday and in the 1st floor you can also dance or enjoy the terrace outside, totally recommend! 😎

I'm a big fan. They have this one chicken sandwich that's totally processed, but besides that the food is quite good. Very nice structure. Well decorated. Decent enough beer selection, and even some ciders. Many screens for sports viewing if that's what you're into. Good location. Noisy and crowded at times. Creative and nice outdoor seating, though limited. Overall great place for a drink and/or meal or snack.

Kind of an all-in-one pub. Sports, live music, dancing, beer garden. It’s all you need in one stop. Very friendly staff and way above average food for a pub, really recommend it !

Really nice big place even busy on a Sunday evening. Good Irish stew (thankfully not over salted as is often the case), decent burgers, nice service and great atmosphere.

We spent a couple of hours yesterday at the Irish Rover and had a good time. The food was simple but tasty and the place is huge. The bathroom could be cleaner but I generally don’t expect more from a place full with people drinking beer. It’s a cool place if you want to reserve a room and organize your birthday or something Ike that!

Good food, great service, friendly and helpful staff. Even though it was full, the staff helped find me a spot.

Didn't have food but giving it a 5 star as other guests around me seem to enjoy the food a lot. Nice place with friendly staff and good cheap beer

I went here to watch PSG v Newcastle in the Champions League. We received excellent service and got a great view of the game. The hamburgers were excellent and the place itself very good. It will be must go venue especially when the match is on TV.

We didn't go there for food, just to celebrate St. Patrick's Day for my Irish friend. Plus, we didn't eat, just drinking, dancing and general socialising. Great staff, especially the dj. Excellent crowd, merry, welcoming, dancey mood. When we got there, hardly anyone was there. Later into the evening, it got busy. There was a band playing Irish songs and just making the night magical for everyone. Speaking and singing to random people. It was a great night. I would definitely go back again for St. Patricks Day 2024.

Stick to the drinks and avoid the food. We ordered 3 dishes, ribs, chicken wings and gyozas. All plates arrived lacking seasoning, asked waiters a number of times for simple things like sauce and salt and were completely ignored. Asked for soy sauce, got Worcester sauce… The rib arrived with a ton of fries which the waiter didn’t mention when ordering an extra portion of fries. On a positive they have a reasonable Guiness on tap…

The best irish pub in Madrid, no kidding. It truly feels like you are in Ireland.

I had a dinner yesterday with my wife and some friends and unfortunately I had a bad experience, because of the inconvenience of one of the waiters. He he was sarcastic with his answers when we requested for information about the menu. It happened all the time that he was serving us. We felt very uncomfortable. Also, he gave us the bill twice times without we asking for it... He just dropped the bill and said "The owner of the table has just arrived.". The issue was that our table was booked by us 2 days before. He did'n ask anything, just dropped the bill in the table. We explained to him and he just took the bill back and said nothing. It's a shame, because it's a beautiful place. My suggestion to the managers is to train (or reinforce) his waiters to deal with his clients, mainly if the clients are foreigners. It's an expensive pub, so what I expect as a client is that the place is up to par.

Good atmosphere and food. A great place to meet friends and watch football with plenty of screens around. Will need to book if Real Madrid game is on!

A drop of Irish/British cuisine and culture in the heart of the Spanish capital. Good both for business dinner and watching football (if only you get inside) - and finally to stuff yourself with enormous portions of bar food.

Nice Irish bar, very popular in Madrid. A bit expensive. Decoration is great and they have food as well to have dinner.

Great place to watch football matches. Food portions are good, prices are fair all things considered (you get to watch your game). All round lovely experience!

Great, good wine and food. We feel like the waiter gave her best.

This place is horrible. The waiter in terrace during night time(around 20:00) was disrespectful and impolite. Heineken for 5'5€ without any food, you can find any place better around. Please avoid this place, there is plenty around much better

Just arrive from Ireland, and I have to say that this place made you feel like in Ireland again, they even have the same high beer prices 😂🇮🇪

Just amazing. The decor is flawless, the bar has a lot of charisma, the food is excellent and the waiters are really nice. Perfect for a night out with friends or to watch a football game. Would highly recommend it!

Cute, located near my hotel so I stopped by for a quick drink on my way home. Fell in love with all the decor. The staff was chill and all around laid back. Very nice for a night out with friends. Paid only a few bucks for a couple drinks and the gin and tonic were made pretty creatively. Everything came with a unique flare

Well served guiness. Nice enviroment. Comfortable terrace with electric heaters. It is expensive and no appetizer is served with the beers.

Worse pint of Guinness I have ever had, so bad I couldn't drink it. I am a Guinness drinker and this is the first time I have ever returned a drink. Irish stew was cold when it arrived, watery, no flavour or taste. This place has gone down hill in a year, I would not recommend as it's extremely overpriced, poor food and drink.

Not really a Irish bar…..playing Jazz music on an evening which was awful (unless you like jazz….in which case go to a Jazz bar…not an Irish bar). Rest of pub playing disco music and Micheal Jackson stuff etc (very Irish). Pint of Guinness was ok and a shame as decor quite Irish…..music was Like serving Pasta in an Indian restaurant though 🤔🙄

You get what you look for, an Irish looking tavern with wide variety of beers, big room spaces, wood all around and you can use it as a sports bar with several dinner options (burgers, chicken fingers, wings..). Don't expect the kitchen to be amazing, but it will fulfill your wishes for food after some pints :)

  • 5/5 Alejandro C. 1 year ago on Google
Good place. When I arrived they had a quiz game in a small room, pretty cool. I also ordered some chicken, nachos and fries, everything was delicious. And of course, Guinness pints, the best. :D

The barman poured myself and my girlfriend the same pint of Murphy's and after drinking halfway through our pints my girlfriend said she didn't like hers that much and I tasted hers to discover that it was flat. She tasted mine and said mine was way nicer (this was her first time trying Murphy's) and that her flat drink was flat since she got it and she didn't know the difference because it was her first time having a Murphy's. I said it to the barman who replied; "it's the same drink, the exact same" and when I explained that he poured it on draft poorly for her pint he denied it again dismissing "it's the same drink, they're the same".

Fantastic pint of Guinness in a wonderful area! (Only a few minutes from the Bernabéu). They had large tanks of Heineken, hence, I am sure that will also be a fantastic pint. Great atmosphere with outside and upstairs terraces. Top place all round

A bar that gives you a total pub Vibe, big enough for to have different environments. Vintage forniture everywhere. I would recommend for a birthday for 20-30 persons to make a reservation in the room in the 2nd floor which is possible to maintain an independent environment. So however the food is not the best from the bars around is one of the best place around in this area.

One of the waiter is very rude name javi!! The guy with a beard who shouted with us, i just inform him about the broken glass on the floor .if he cant take the pressure working in the bar he shouldn't be working in the pub.
