Excellent meal & service today. The restaurant was very busy & we thought we would have a long wait but we were served within half an hour of ordering. The roast was very tasty served with an extra jug of gravy. Will definitely return !

Had the Sunday roast today and it was absolutely beautiful, I had the smaller portion and it was still too much to finish!

Lovely decor and very friendly staff. However the food and drinks are very overpriced for what they are. For instance we payed £7 for 3 small scoops of icecream which had ice crystals inside.

Situated in the lovely village of Farndon, with outdoor seating which is lovely on sunny days - The Raven is an absolutely fantastic pub and restaurant. I am so excited to try something new every visit from their vegan menu, which has me spoilt for choice for the first time in a long time! I‘ve only two things left to try from the menu, everything thus far has been absolutely delicious and filling. I’m going to have to try the Belgian waffles on their own as I never seem to have room for dessert after the main 😂 The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, the food is so tasty, every visit is a treat! Highly recommend 💜

New owners, thought we would go in and try, on finishing our food we waited 30 minutes and no one came to the table despite the table next to us being served and having the table cleared twice, young man working in there was very polite and friendly, owners rude when we said we'd finished thirty minutes ago and told us off for sitting on a table that wasn't for two. Empty drinks before the food came and weren't offered more, ended with my partner having the owner pointing in his face and being extremely rude. Very disappointed as had really looked forward to going in since it had changed hands. Came out feeling completely insulted and there were a number of customers listening in who said to us they thought the way were treated was appalling and they won't be returning out of principle. :( we were even told the chef had stayed late for us and that we had been made to feel welcome, even though we ordered food at 5:20 and they stop serving at 6, and two other families came in after us. We would have thought as new business owners they would have listened to why we weren't happy without getting angry at us and walking off on us and making it difficult for us to pay. Wasted evening and very upset :(

Nice modern venue. Lots of outside seating both front and back. Lots of food options of decent quality. Some tiny rebel craft beer cans.

Loved it. Great food. Lovely surroundings and extremely helpful staff. I noticed a waitress called Liberty engaging with some small children and making them laugh. Apart from great food and surroundings, it's things like this i appreciate. They create a welcoming atmosphere. Dogs are also welcome, which is always a bonus for an owner like me, and we would definitely visit again.

Absolutely gorgeous meal today yet again boss very lovely my salad was gorgeous and my husband chicken in basket was yummy he said we booked a table for our anniversary wouldn't go anywhere else

Wednesday evening Date Night. After a terrible experience in the Hare with the dog we decided to eat at The Raven, the food was good and there was a nice atmosphere. Wednesday’s there’s 25% off a main course too. Dog Friendly too!

Came for a drink, or two, today. Ended up staying for lunch. Had nibbles from the taster menu, they were flavoursome and beautifully presented. The staff were so friendly. In a beautiful village surrounding.

Every time I come to this place has been Nothing but amazing, from atmosphere, service and food it has all been spot on, I came today with my little boy and dog, and this place even offers a doggy roast, 🤣🙌 May I add the roast dinners are to die for! The best by far! But I did notice some new younger staff members taking orders and giving out the food, all absolutely amazing and so polite but one stood out, her name was Milly. She went above and beyond to ensure we as customers had all we needed. I was blown away by her politeness and good attitude. Thank you so much to each and everyone of you. We had the most amazing lunch and by far the best visit as always ❤️

The service here is absolutely excellent! Staff are incredibly attentive and professional. They also go out of their way to make customers feel valued and welcome. Also there is a fantastic variety of food and people with additional dietary requirements actually have an extensive and varied menu. The food is cooked to perfection and is absolutely delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Incredible, food was amazing service was spectacular. The Sunday roast has to be one of the best I’ve had. We also had my girlfriends baby shower here upstairs and it was a brilliant day. The food spread was unbelievably good and the service from the staff was again spectacular. Thank you Ed

Fantastic event in the function room. The team at the Raven really looked after us recently. We had a sit down meal for 40+ people to celebrate a birthday and everyone was blown away. From the moment we booked the venue the communication was absolutely first rate. The organisation is spot on, the layout of the seating, drinks and canapes on arrival. They worked really hard to make sure everything went well. The facilities in the function room are really good. Separate bar upstairs just for us, separate toilet facilities. Sound system. Its all decorated really tastefully. The food was delicious. We worked with them on the menu and came up with something we were really happy with for the event and the guest feedback on their meals was nothing but positive. The service of the food was professional and efficient. The staff here really do work hard and were really friendly and helpful all evening. If you need a function room in the Farndon area I would highly recommend The Raven.

Excellent. Greeted by Owner temperature taken and contact details noted, hand sanitiser then used. Table and chairs cleaned prior to seating. Drinks ordered and delivered to table. Lovely atmosphere as always.

Went there on a whim this evening, Saturday night so the place was busy. The staff managed to book us a table in with only a short wait. The staff were efficient, helpful and friendly, they explained as there was a large party in there would be a bit of a wait for food, which there was but as we had been told was not an issue. There were numerous menu items I could have chosen but went with a burger and was very happy when it arrived. In the party of 4 we were all very happy with our food, the place was clean and all staff there took pride in their work. Great atmosphere, great food and reasonably priced, looking forward to our next visit.

had Christmas lunch there. after half an hour we had to get our own drinks from the bar which was at least five deep with one barperson. another hour until starter was served. food was ok but we were there 3 hours before we had our main course. I had the cheeseboard to finish, grapes that were past their best and the Cheshire cheese tasted as if it was well past it's sell by date. for £65.00 per head it was very disappointing. will not be returning.

Arrived there on the 20/06/20 Staff were excellent and friendly we had an evening meal it was also excellent, rooms were fine our bed was nice and comfortable. I thought i would have problems with the bed as i have a bad back but no problems. Had a drink in the bar as i drink Guiness it was the best Guiness i've tasted in a long while. The only negative is if you have problems with mobility the stairs might be a problem. If i was ever visting Farndon i wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again.

There was a christening the day before valentines day and we turned at The Farndon for some lunch. The staff and owner where very helpful and managed to accommodate us. The service is excellent and the food is well above standard. Well worth a visit.

Really friendly helpful staff . Meals very tasty and reasonably priced. Room was very clean, bed very very comfortable! A pleasure to stay there. Highly recommend!! Would gladly stay there again when we're next in the area.

Nice village pub that does very good food at reasonable prices. They have a couple of nice real ales available. Best to ring first if planning a meal though as they do not serve food every day.

In my opinion of staying in many hotels this place is over priced for the service. Upon arrival I had to got to the bar to see about a room key no reception .....I was taken to my room by the bar maid once in the room I asked again for a room key to be told you will be safe here so no need for a key.. I went down to the bar to grab some food after I had eaten I asked again for a room key finally I had a key... I took a shower after the water drained down there was a very distinctive smell of waste coming from the barhroom Once in bed there was a knock at the door to see what time I would be leaving to so the owner could set her alarm to make sure I could get out. After being advertised as boutique I was very disappointed On a positive the staff were very friendly
