Well worth a visit! The train ride is a lot of fun too and for about £35 for a compartment of 6 (covid times), that's not too bad. However, most fun can be had watching the trains at the station. They couple and move carriages, tankers etc around. Our little one was absolutely in awe, as were we. It was also nice to see so many of the employees dressed in traditional attire. If you have lunch here, you can probably spend a total of 2-3 hours watching, exploring and riding the train. Great job everyone and thank you for making it a fantastic day.

Fantastic spot for walks and scenery, the cafe at railway stop is well worth it. Tea in huge mugs. Deer were out, and we got very close before they were spooked. Parking was 1 pound for 2 hours. Weather helped, get the steps in easily here.

Great heritage rail centre with a great selection of industrial locos. Nice cafe but unfortunately service was slow as the centre was quite busy.

Excellent friendly railway. And they make the best bacon sandwich. This weekend they also had some visiting cars and trucks which added interest.

45 mins train ride, showing parts of Chasewater that we wouldn't be have walked to. We then went in the model train exhibition which was amazing. The detail was fantastic and all run by volunteers. Entry to the exhibition is free but there is a donation box so please give what you can to keep this going.

Went along to the Halloween train ride. Absolutely brilliant. A well put on event that was suitable for kids and adults alike. A lovely ride behind a steam loco then a great laugh going round the haunted engine shed. Would definitely recommend going.

Really like doing this to the railway, I hope this gets noticed and someone does something about it. I came a few weeks ago for my 50th birthday with my partner and daughters. They had Full English which looked ok and I had a supposedly Tuna sandwich, although very sparse of Tuna. I didn't want any confrontation so just put up with it and put down to a one off. So why the bad review... I am the main organiser for a walking group in Birmingham and surrounding areas, although a new group we now have over 2600 members in 3 months. I like to take my walkers to different places and being a bit of a rail enthusiast and a Severn Valley Railway shareholder really appreciate these heritage railways and what they do for the community. I thought it was a good idea to take my walking group to Chasewater and for a small number of us (20) to have afternoon tea, a steam train ride and happy memories. Calling the local landline is useless, no one ever answers. I tried Facebook where Becky the manager gave me one response and thats it. I then by luck found a mobile number, it was answered, call back tomorrow the manager isn't here. I called back and now am told off today and possibly our group is too big... the Cafe isn't that small, I was there a few weeks ago, we could eat outside? No ideas, just a no. In these times where people are trying to keep things running, keeping jobs, communication here has let me, my group and the railway down. I really hope you don't treat all enquiries like this :( The railway is important to the area and peoples lives.

Really nice little station and train ride, buy the rover ticket and get off the train at one of the little stops have a walk around chasewater. Then catch the train back, for a coffee at the station cafe, nice relaxing day trip.

Lovely place to go, lots happening, there was a race with lots of runners & some had brilliant costumes, well done 👏 other than that lovely place to walk & lots of families playing games (nice to see) we are again in the Engine shed with the Barretts Gauge 1 track Midsomer Norton, fabulous day had by all. Today the big full size diesel was running on the main track & lots of people enjoying themselves x

Had a lovely afternoon at Chasewater with our Grandchildren, we took a trip on the train, seeing the Lakes. woodlands, moreland and wild deer, duck and geese. We stopped at a couple of stations and visited the model Railway, which was very well done and the children loved it. We walked along one of the Lakes which had a variety of birds, eating our ice-cream, finishing off at the children's play area, which is secure and had swings, climbing frames, seesaws and catered for 2/3 year olds to young teenagers. Overall a grand day out.

Lovely cafe, doing just what it's meant too. Lovely real fire, which is what we wanted after a damp bike ride. Good service, lovely staff. Well decorated for Christmas. Thank you 😊

The little café/coffee shop is lovely. Very authentic and inviting. Possibly need more staff on a sunny day - the wait for a couple of coffees was > 15 minutes. Worth the wait though 👍

Great day out all round. Took disabled father out for a day on steam train and he loved it. Volunteers made every effort to make the day go smoothly and the wheelchair access was easy. Only downside was we didn't get to go to the museum as access was over rough grass which wasn't particularly wheelchair friendly

Nice experience for kids and grown-ups as well! The train looks like a time machine... Well preserved compartments and carriages! If around Chasewater it's an amazing way to spend 1 to 2hrs if your day out...

We went yesterday to the 1940's day we had a wonderful day apart from the British Weather. Vehicles and Costumes were brilliant but the Spiv was fantastic 👍

Nice place to stop after a walk only problem is the wait for some food at the cafe. Its a 20 minute wait to clear a queue of 4 people and then another 20 minute wait for a cheese and ham sandwich

Nice walk around the reservoir. Has refreshments on site. And the old 2 mile stretch of track for the steam train. 20 quid for family of four. Just Google it for more info.
