Strange lumpy bit of ground; about 1½ miles around the outside, with various paths crossing the middle. Looks very well used but very little rubbish to be seen (except the full bins in the car park). Certainly good for the locals to walk their pets, and okay for a one-off stroll in the good weather. Few muddy spots, but generally the paths are well made and quite wide.

It has changed beyond recognition with much tree growth making it far more interesting as we hadn't been for years. Disappointed somewhat however with the waymark signs daubed with "Fake virus, fake vaccine" messages. I just hope the author doesn't catch Covid or anyone close to him or her! That said a very pleasant place to visit.

A quite walk in Walsall Wood with sufficient parking for over 20 cars. Multiple pathways lead you in a circular motion with lots of views of the surrounding area, most notibally Stonnall. Multiple areas for sitting and relaxing but no real open areas for dogs running around. You can walk through wooded areas and give your dog/s some mental training with lots of new sniffs around.

Well we’ve lived here a long time and never realised this park existed! There is a small car park and a series of marked walking routes, taking in the former quarry and woodland. It makes for an interesting walk, particularly if you are interested in the geology of the area, as there are signs explaining the history of the quarry and its evolution. Some of the paths can get quite muddy if wet so be prepared.

Normally lovely, but atm it's very muddy, due to council repairing steps and laying stones on pathways, to help rectify this. Should be much better in a few days.

Very nice reserve. A lot of dog owners not picking up after their dogs which is very inconsiderate for other users of the reserve. Small car park with a small play area. Small open areas with lots of woodlands.

Beautiful hidden nature walk amongst the towns. Very pretty forests and hidden ponds, incredibly atmospheric in the fog! Only downside is the amounts of litter, people need to have more respect for nature and nurturing these places not destroying them.

As Costas go - this is one of the best. I go for a quiet Sunday brunch after a gentle walk in Cannon Hill park. Staff friendly and efficient

A nice nature reserve in the heart of shire Oak. Helps with getting the steps in but it can be muddy in parts. There are a few trails you can follow although the signposting isn't great however, it's a perfect place to take the dog

I grew up at shire ridge and still love a nice walk around. It has been wonderful watching the changes over the years and how the whole nature reserve has matured. Love it!
