Family, Family, Family. This is one of the best places that i have ever stayed. The team make you feel like you are part of the family from the moment you arrive to the villa. I extended my stay as it was so nice here, you really feel like you are at home. The owners & staff here are one of the best attractions. ROOMS They have both private rooms & shared rooms. I stayed in a shared room with four beds. The bunks are super comfortable & have privacy curtain, power outlet, locker attached. My room also had a nice balcony. The room was also super cool in the evening great for sleeping in the summer. COMMON AREAS This villa has so many places to chill out in. The indoor living & dining area are very well designed with huge TV & sofa for those netflix nights. They have the front outdoor terrace with sun loungers, huge communal outdoor dining tables to the side and the best is at the back with a games rooms, bar & lounge area. We had some great nights out in the garden with the communal dinners & a few beers after. SERVICES It is a surf villa so the main attraction is surfing. Ricardo the owner & the staff have a surf school close by that i used everyday. Breakfast is included with the possibility of added communal dinners made my chef Luis. The team can organise anything for you from boat trips to cabs just ask & they will find a way. LOCATION Located about 30 mins outside downtown Lisbon (you can get an Uber from the airport for €15) in Costa Da Caparica. Is perfectly placed to head out to the beach, take in some local meals at the corner bar & go out for the night in the city.

If you're looking to learn how to surf, look no further. The instructors here are amazing, if you're serious and want to improve then they will be there for you, answer any questions, you will seriously get better even after just one week. Many people I went with had never surfed, all stood up on day one! The school is so well organised and just great fun. The camp is also excellent, great vibe, a mix of relaxed and energetic fun. Being picky, the rooms are very basic but you're not paying for a 5 star hotel, and the one thing that surprised me was how organised every day was, there's a schedule for everything but no one's forcing you to get involved in the extra activities. Definitely take them up on borrowing a bike, it's a quick ride to the beach but would be a longer walk for sure. I travelled alone for the first time in my life and made friends all over the world now, I had one of the most amazing weeks!

The best week of my life!! I came there on my own and left with so many amazing friends. In the first day that I arrived I already felt like I was part of the family. The environment and vibes in the surf house were so good! The food was super delicious 😋 there are always vegan and vegetarian options and the surf lessons were awesome! I progressed so much in just 1 week. The volunteers are so nice and friendly. Everyday there is evenings planned and trips for everyone, it is very well organized. Amazing week! I was solo traveling, met amazing people. You can bike to the beach where you have your surf classes. The surf house is cute and aesthetic. Food is really tasty, vegan/vegetarian options available always. Volunteers are the ones, who make this place really great. There is a lot of socializing, surfing but also relaxing. From the moment I arrived at the camp I knew it was something special. The Bali lifestyle feel crossed with the spirit of the Atlantic ocean! I had the best week at Gota Dagua! The whole team are so welcoming and friendly. I travelled alone but made friends straight away. Pedro and Pedro, our two surf instructors, are brilliant. This is a great group of friendly and talented surfers. Every time I visit I get the same instructor, which is great for continuity and building my confidence. The surf school is right on the beach, part of the Tarquinio Beach-Bar building which has an ATM and toilets you can use (and great food btw). Great video analysis too.

It's the best surf camp I've ever been to! The people are very friendly, helpful and humorous! It's all very eye-to-eye and the people are very authentic and just amazing! Each individual is dealt with individually. The food is also considered - so being vegan is not a problem there. :) The yoga lessons and surf lessons are very educational and are accompanied by a very professional photographer. I went to Gota Dagua with 5 friends. This week was just so incredible ! First Time surfing for us but the instructors are really good and in less than 2 lessons, you can stand up on your board. I didn’t expect an experience like this, people were so kind, you feel in a family! The staff, cookers, social host, barmans, thank you all guys for this incredible week !

We have spent one week in this surfcamp and it has been one of our best vacations! The crew was always nice and helpful, the surf lessons were super fun (especially the instructors did an amazing job - thanks to that once again) and the events in the evening were well organised. Just the vegan options could improve a little but otherwise everything was perfectly fine. We would really recommend it and hopefully we will spend another holiday there once again - thank you for this wonderful week!! :)

I stayed at this surf camp for one week in September and had the best time! The rooms are clean, and the staff in the house and at the surf school are super friendly. We had a really nice group of international people, in the age range 22-35. Average age was 27 I would guess. Lots of people travel solo, and since there are many activities it’s easy to make friends. We had surf and yoga lessons (optional) every day, and most evenings had an activity as well. We had karaoke night, beach party and a half day trip to Lisbon. Partying is optional, but if you really don’t like to party or to drink, this might not be the place for you. The food was above my expectations, enjoyed every dinner here! Vegetarian and vegan options are also possible. If you’re unsure about booking: just do it. You will have the best time! I’m already planning to book another trip here or to the Sri Lanka house with the friends I made during the week I stayed here.💙 Little point of improvement: some new fabric on the couch pillows outside won’t hurt haha ;)

Compare to others, this camp is very unique. The location is perfect, close to the best beach to learn how to surf and very close to the city. This is so worth it! Very social and welcoming surf camp with lots of guests from different places in the world. I was one week , and it was amazing. The food, place, people everything was perfect. Because the houses were not so close to the beach everyone had the bicycle to go there. The surf instructors were trying to help even if you belongs to different instructor (everyone happy to help you catch the waves).

The Gota Dagua Surf Camp is beyond everything you would expect and so much more. The AMAZING food, heartwarming atmosphere and perfectly thought-out activities made this a week to never forget. It is a true solo traveler’s paradise. I felt safe, and I felt looked after. The line between “staff” and “family” starts to blur pretty quickly, and you will have a daily routine that will make you want to readjust your life after you leave the camp. You know how we’re always secretly looking for something to change our lives? This is it. This is that experience.

One of the best experience in my life, the mood and the mentality are crazy, every one is here to improve or learn surf and have a good time. In one week you become so close to people that you don’t want to leave them. The staff is very professional, the instructors are the best. I really recommend this surf camp, it is an amazing life experience.

I don’t recommend this school. I have surfed many times and took a beginner class to be with my friends who tried for the first time. 1. One of my friends got hurt and her coach couldn’t care less. My friend stayed on the beach for the full lesson without him coming over to check up on her. 2. For my part, the coach I had was unprofessional. He took more waves than I did while on the job (he only helped me in 2-3 waves during an hour class). At some point we had to paddle back on a big distance and he left with a wave to the beach because the current was « too strong ». If the current had really been this strong, I wouldn’t have managed like a walk in the park. Avoid the school, there are some much better ones around that are actually people-centered.

Gota Gagua really is a family. I had such an amazing time here. Unfortunately I dislocated my shoulder before getting the chance to surf, but I still had an amazing week even without surfing (imagine how much more fun it would be if I could have!). I loved the yoga classes and Lìvia made me feel welcome and safe to practice with the group given modifications. The social activities were super fun and very well organized. Food was amazing! The Gota Dagua team/family took amazing care of me when I dislocated my shoulder and I am so grateful to them. Such a beautiful group of people and I can't wait to come back!

we enjoyed our time at the camp very much! The camp has a small pool, common areas and ping pong table, chill out corners and is only 5min to the beach. You can easily get there quickly by bike. The location is really perfect! The best thing is the people! The whole team is unique!!! We especially liked the joint events and the surf lessons. Alan our surf instructor was phenomenal, we learned so much and always felt comfortable and in good hands. Also the yoga lessons helped me a lot to focus better while surfing and to start the day well. I especially liked doing the yoga outdoors. Livia is one of the best yoga teachers I've had and we highly recommend not to miss the yoga classes!

I really like visiting the surf camp as often as I can. Sometimes 3 times a year. The camp allows me to unwind and enjoy the beautiful weather of Portugal. There you can learn to surf or surf on your own be renting the equipments. The surfer guy Luis at the camp makes your stay as comfortable as possible. You can meet travellers around the world and before you even know, you are already the part of the family.

The week in Gota d‘Agua Surfcamp was amaaaazing. It is 25min. from Lisbon and easiest way to reach is UBER or they can pick you up at the airport. The camp crew is so nice & cool. Luiz spoiled us with delicious dinners & BBQ, we had great suflessons with Gonçalo & Ari und I want to thank Ricardo for the perfect last minute organisation (I booked 1 day in advance) The 4-bed rooms where so nice & clean as well as the bathroom. There is also a nice outdoor chillout area with a bar & pinpong table and a big table where all eat the dinner together. That was a lovely week and I can just recommand Gota d‘Agua Surfcamp.

This Surfcamp is truly special and the guys who run the thing, do it by heart. This was my first time ever on a surf board and I enjoyed it very much and felt safe. The teachers are absolutely great! This was my verry first surfing holiday and I really enjoyed the lessons. The teachers are experienced and make you feel comfortable, they are really cool guys. The hostel is cozy and has everything you expect from a hostel. Ricardo and the Gota D'agua gang make you feel like you are part of the family so the vibes are really cool. I might definitly come back for more lessons in the future. Even during covid they manage to do group activities in a responsibble way so you wont get bored and have plenty of fun. What should i say? I booked for 8 nights the full package (Surf lessons, dorm, breakfast/dinner etc.) just to improve my surfing skills and escape the rainy and dark fall season in Germany. In the end I’ve extended my stay for two further nights and If I would able to, I would be still there. It had been a pretty good time. The Hostel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, but you are fast at the beach (10min walking, 5min by bike) or in the centre of Lisbon (20min by Car, Uber = 15€). The hostel itself is a really nice place built out of a lot of love and having a quite good atmosphere. It is clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are different opportunities for a sit in and relax or to meet other people. But not the location is special what is about the place. It is the people who are living and working there. The owner team consisting out of four friends who are totally friendly and supporting you in any way they can. There are also regular events, like dinners or other stuff, which is quite nice. In addition, there is Luis, who is the good soul of the place and is cooking awesome dishes! But also, the volunteers need to be mentioned who are doing a great job! Regarding the surf school and the lessons, I can say that It had been really helpful to improve my skills. The material is good, modern and in a proper condition. The teachers who are having a lot of knowledge are supporting you individually and giving you the right advise, which I didn’t have experienced so far in my surf career 😉. Even with Corona and in the end of the season it had been a great experience and it could not have been better! Thanks guys and I will be back!

I have known these guys for over 10 years and I only have good things to say about them and their busienss. They have started it from the scratch and managed to create something unique. If you ever take a lesson with them or stay at one of their surf camps, I can assure of that you will take home great memories you will never forget. They have fantastic BBQ parties and will take you on to some trips to Arriba's and Sesimbra's most exclusive beaches where you will have plenty of fun. I stayed 4 nights at Gota d'Agua and I would have stayed longer if I could. It's so much more than just a surf camp. It's also a place to meet new friends and family from all over the world. Everyone was super nice and the people running the camp really made me feel at home there. Thank you so much everyone! And special thanks to Luiz for the great dinners! Gota d’Agua is THE place to be in Portugal. You come as a stranger, you leave as a part of the family. All the staff is welcoming, the food is delicious and the barbecue night is as legendary as the tales tell... recommend this one for everyone looking for a place to feel at home.

Rarely can you find such a familiar and friendly place to stay, learn to surf, have a great meals and make such fantastic friends! once you stay at Gota d'Agua you become a family member. The Hostel itself is really nice - refreshed rooms, spacious common spaces with nice music and surf videos all day long. Cool patio, well-equipped bar and all you need to have a fantastic holidays!
