AWFUL BAD BAD experience - do not visit here! Where to begin, the staff are rude, the rooms are dirty, smelly and old, the swimming pool is very small with 20 chairs, the breakfast is bad with a broken coffee machine, the lifts do not work. For a reputable hotel like Mercure you would expect better but we were so shocked and disappointed- I was counting down the days to leave. Management and reception are slow and inconsiderate of your queries. Save your time and go somewhere else like the West of Algeria.

When I arrived I was expecting not a good experience because of the other reviews but now I know this place is the best and I will be coming back here with my family pool was big and good service was awesome and my kids loved it and the staff was friendly and friendly to my kids 5 stars!

Sehr altes & heruntergekommenes Hotel. Check In um 1:00 Uhr Nachts mit Babys im Arm war die reinste Katastrophe. Durch einen Systemfehler mussten wir eine 3/4 Stunde warten & hatten, als wir endlich im Zimmer waren nicht mal das angeforderte Babybett (worauf wir dann wieder eine halbe Stunde warten mussten) Zimmerkarten bekamen wir erst am nächsten Tag gegen Abend. Das Frühstück hat nicht viel Auswahl (Bsp nur ein Käse) Die Zimmer sind sehr alt, Löcher in den Gardienen, wo Sonnenlicht durch kommt. Die Spülamatur in der Toilette hat komplett gefehlt. Alles ist voll Kalk und Schimmel. Einzelne Flecken auf der Bettwäsche. Also absolut KEIN 5-Sterne Standard

It was a very bad experience as requested to get shampoo, which took 2 days to get. Room furniture is very old and looks not clean .The bathroom is also not clean. The only good things I have found are the swimming pool and AC ..... only. It was a very bad experience

Absolutely terrible, dirty rooms, falling apart and failing to live up to its name. Customer service are third word class. If I could put less then a star I would have. I honestly think I would never book with Mercure again. I advice any Algerian visitors or tourists to avoid by all means. The pictures or videos or any promotional reviews are fakes.

Need renovation fast some room have an old showers with very low pression coffe maching brocken with another working and you have to get in line for coffe . A very good hotel with a good reputation and in need for renovation asap

One of the best hotels in Algiers, I've stayed there last night for the first time, and it's was perfectly amazing, so clean and sophisticated, the rooms are so cozy and elegant, what I loved the most is the staff there, they're all like smiling all time and so welcoming, they really made me want to come again. 10/10.

The customer service was exceptional Sabiha the receptionist was a great staff who welcomes us In a very professional and helpful way, this also goes for all staff there, but especially Sabiha was great. Although the room style needs to be upgraded especially the bathroom , but I believe it os mercure intentions to keep their room like that as I have been in many mercure hotels before and I noticed that do have the same old style

The room was not that clean and dust everywhere ( check behind the night tables) Room 824 And check pictures also Although everytime I book in the website I request to clean the room from the dust and insects because we are extremely allergic to that I did not find the number tags on the phone handset.. So did not know what number I have to call room service.. Reception !! The shower was not working properly and the switch button to change from sink tap to shower was broken. But pick up, drop off.. Reception..and customer service were good .. But the room was really horrible and need seriouse upgrade It is really a shame mercure .. i used to be a loyal customer..but no more.

Good option only if you are in transit. Complimentary shuttle with clear schedule and proximity to the airport. Otherwise mediocre, beat-up facilities and below par service.

Hotel and room are quite old and need renovation. Cleaning is good and the bed is comfortable. Some room have bed humidity smell. From Mercure Hotel I expected something better.

Excellent hotel, the staff are so welcoming and kind, the rooms are always clean, A big and nice sweeming pool, a large parking, the food is great, that's what you will need to spend your vacation in peace, I will give the hotel 5/5, they deserve it for the nice work that they are doing.

Stay away from this hotel unless you want to make a time travel to 1990s! nothing was good on it! Very old room, dusty, pillows were as hard as a rock. The breakfast was ok but if you have to leave early don't expect to have an omelet or scrambled eggs, they start late. Very disappointed!

Never stay again in you hotel. Extremely bad experience from the check in to the check out. The wrong room was given unhelpful staff…dirty rooms. . Breakfast okay but coffee machine breaking down regular. The worst are the staff. Not all but majority. £200 a night for that type of service not acceptable. Will never stay in mercure again. 4 hours to check in the wrong room. Appalling really. I have placed my reviews on different reviews platforms. Thanks for the worst holiday experience Mercure.

Disguting bed sheets, disgusting bathroom, air conditioning not working. We were told that the breakfast service ends at 10h30 but the service was already closed at 09h50. Disrespectful staff. It's very expressive for such a poor quality hotel. Don't get fooled by the lobby.

I stayed twice in this hotel during this month..but it was not to my expectations at all Although I booked via All Accor application, I still had to wait for 45 minutes in the line in front of reception to do check-in I asked for toiliteries for 2 guests but they provide 1 and not all equipments. Rooms were really old and the shower needs updates But.. The housekeeper Sahnouni Wasila or Samia ( I forget the first name..sorry) was really good and very helpful..she did a funtastic job by cleaning the room and provide all toiliteries and towels. She is did the room they it should be and really saved our day and stay..thanks Mrs Sahnouni

The hotel is situated in a strategic location, very accessible to get to all the important places of the beautiful capital of algeria. Great weather, really enjoyed my stay in algiers. Big thanks to the staff for making the experience more amazing.

The hotel allows smoking in the lobby area which is gross and smelly. The rooms are old and outdated. The rooms smell bad. It's really run down and old, everything needs replacing down to the floor, artwork and bathroom. Front desk staff was friendly but check in is to much. They ask you to fill out a card with all your information along with taking all your passport info. Hotels in Algeria are really extra with info. I would not stay here again. We had a very early fight and it's close to airport.

Rooms are old but a fare size. There's barely any hot water in the upper level rooms when taking a shower on pick hours. The elevators make some scary noises. The breakfast and diner get a fare OK. But I wouldn't recommend it if you stay longer then 7 to 10 days. Unfortunatly, the Asian restaurant is no longer open since the beginning of covid period.

It seems it was a wonderful hotel once upon a time, staff were nice and friendly, but it needs some serious maintenance jobs and complete renovation!

It was wonderful hotel, everything was great. Everything working and everything is clean and comfortable. The stuff are great pleasant people. The staff always help us with anything we need. We are very happy and can recommend to others. Finally I want to say thank you to "Mr : Islem " One of the commercial staff was friendly, helpful and professional.

Expensive and lacks breakfast. Beautiful old hotel, but you will find same or better quality rooms for less money with included breakfast at other hotels. If you want to spend extra money for no reason, come here. We weren’t told that breakfast wasn’t included with the expensive suite and extra room we booked, and staff made no effort to remedy.

The service was slow when asking to bring something to the room due to shortage of staff.

The staff is good, however the location and views are really bad, the rooms aren't that clean and the TV barely even works!

My stay at Mercure hotel was wonderful. Service was excellent, and do recommend it to everyone. I was here for 1 night following a canceled trip by Vuelling Airlines. Samia from guest relations was above and beyond, taking all the necessary steps to help guests throughout the evening. She is a 5-star employee. I hope to come back again one day.

I highly recommen this hotel, it is very elegant and comfortable, the service is understanding, patient and friendly, location wise this hotel is close to the hotel which makes it simply convenient

It's a lovely hotel with a beautiful ground level, friendly and welcoming staff but unfortunately outdated bedroom decor. I occupied a room on the 11th floor that was suppose that be a non smoking. But I still smelled cigarettes through the bathroom Aircon system. TV remote need replacing. It took ages to change channels. I was desperate not to miss world cup match France against Morocco. The duty manager promised me a junior suite but unfortunately never got the call for the upgrade. Promised made but not meant and not kept. Not so professional in my eyes. Luckily I only stayed a night for a connecting flight. H

Hotel entrance, reception and hal is pretty nice. Unfortunately rooms are really missing maintenance. Last 25 year's nothing invested in the rooms and this is really visible. All together, price-value level is poor, much better rooms for a much lower price to be found in Alger.

Nice staff…Easy to book online. But the room was too dark not enough light which making me feel depressed. TV doesn’t work and very old😳 The room was very hot so I went outside next to the swimming pool to take some fresh air then all the sudden an employee came around 09:30pm and ask us to leave the whole area and go inside the hotel 🤔 seriously? I can’t get it. The blue chairs in the lobby next to the elevators are very dirty need to clean or change them.

As follows Cons: 1.The first room provided to me was bad 2.water heater didn't work 3.No adequate power sockets 4.AC ventilation grill was covered with dust (Then they changed my room and provided me a better room ) 5.Pathetic breakfast options 6.Coffee machine not working 7.No plates and had to wait a long time. Finally lost my patience and went 8.fruit basket was empty and it was not refilled 9.No cleaning 🧹 at all performed in the rooms and common areas 10.Useless gym where there are no much options Pros: Near to Airport is the only advantage.

Exceptional Hotel , Very nice stay , really feeling among my family . Crew is very helpful especially Fodil and imene guest relation service , food is tasty , Rooms is excellent , Pool and Gym is fantastic , really very nice experience as stayed for 36 Days . I am highly recommend this hotel .

The reception was very welcoming. Positioning of the hotel is fantastic for those who wants to be near the airport, plus there's a free shuffle bus to it each hour for 24h. My room had a cosy and a vintage vibe, and the housekeeping staff was on point.

Great staff. Great hôtel. Loved thé level if hospitality, mercure hôtel Real holf the spirit if vintage style hôtels here in algeirs. Also great postioning, very near toi thé airport, plus thé have a Shuffle bus there for free each hour.
