I arrived about a week ago and still have few more days left to my stay in Madrid and at Hostal Persal. having contacted the hotel directly on their website ( best deal) I got a single room which is a bit on the small side but nothing that surprised me. It still came with a comfortable double bed, a small desk, and safe . The bathroom is more than adequate providing a good hot, strong shower. There is also enough clearance to get to everything without doing a balancing act. The A/c worked very well and was quiet enough not to be a disturbance . I was concerned about noise ,as some reviews had mentioned being disturbed by the street and neighbours but I had asked in advance for a quiet room, which they provided on the fourth floor. I heard sometimes discussions or laughter from other rooms but nothing that lasted to cause me a problem. The breakfast that came with the room was a basic continental style which was ok for most days and their adjacent restaurant “Ginger” has a good weekend brunch menu around 13 euro which was a great deal as you got a lot of food and bottomless cups of coffee. The cleaning service was good and appreciated that they would not disturb me those days that I had asked for quiet. The front desk was also helpful. Having stayed at 5 star establishments , I would say this place is more of a 3 star place providing everything that you need but not going over the top . I highly recommend this place .

I really enjoyed everything about this Hostal as it appears more like a hotel. They were extremely well-organized, helpful, and kind. The staff friendly and the Hostal clean, and stylistically fashionable. The rooms aren't large but the price is perfect for that size. Additionally, it's situated in an excellent part of the city. I strongly recommend it.

Excellent four night stay in the heart of Madrid - hostal is located very close to Sol metro station. The rooms were very clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. All the staff were great - very friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was decent and sets you up for the day. Would definitely stay here again and also recommend to others as well.

We were looking for a good place for the night and found this place for a family of four. Price was reasonable and it was at the city center. Staffs are friendly and it was in a safer environment.

I stayed here 13 years ago. Came back in 2023. Amazing. Remodeled, clean, excellent staff, lovely place. I recommend it 1000%. Will be back next time I come to Madrid. Thank you Felix and everyone!

Did not appreciate the customer service. We got locked out of our safe and the individual at the front desk refused to help us for at least 5-6 hours. The rooms were not great, only one outlet for two people. The bathroom door lock was difficult to use. The hotel only gave one key to share among 4 roommates. WiFi was also very spotty. Location and breakfast is good.

The hotel is located close to all the major monuments and there are many nice shops, cafes, restaurants and a taxi rank nearby. The rooms are well-furnished and comfortable and breakfast is offered for an additional fee. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Overall the hotel was pretty good. For the price I am satisfied with it. The hotel is in a really great location and I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go to in Madrid. Madrid night life is pretty vibrant so bring ear plugs if you are an early sleeper. Room facilities were all fine. There was a nice view onto the bustling street from the window. No major issues but I found the Wi-Fi quite slow. They also have a policy where the room key needs to be left at the front desk every time you leave the hotel. Overall I think it was pretty good value for the money and is a good option to consider if you will be staying in Madrid.

Location is great, front desk are rude and very unfriendly and incredibly arrogants!!!!!!!!!!!!! not recommended at all. Rooms are quite shabby. Madrid is full of hostals with great locations and FRIENDLY front desk. Do not stay at this hostal, it is not worth the money.

Hotel was in a really handy area with so many places to eat and a short walk from train stations. The front desk staff were friendly and attentive. Beware the breakfast police though… my partner had hurt herself so was staying in the room to recover while I went out. She made a breakfast sandwich to take back to the room to eat. The woman saw and said she will be charging our room. We explained the situation and she shut us down and said we will be charged. I said do so at your own detriment as I will be leaving a negative review if you do, here it is! When checking out, after explaining the €3 charge to the front desk I think they felt embarrassed and removed the charge

Very good hotel

Great service and staff. The AC could use some work. I realize we were there during some very hot days but still. Nothing the hotel can do about it but the area can be loud so if you have a street side room, expect noise from the clubbers.

Delicious drinks, good food, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. It was my 3rd time there over a 3 year period and it's always been excellent.

We've enjoyed a lot our last visit to Madrid. It was our first stay at this cute Hostal. It is managed in a very high professional and friendly style. With the support of their team and the perfect location We have a lovely experience. We will come back in Autumn.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is very central to exploring Madrid, within walking distance of all tourist attractions. The hotel and rooms are very clean. The reception staff at the hotel are very friendly, courteous and responsive to any request. Hotel highly recommended.

This place was amazing. I had a change of plans for lodging and couldn't stay with a friend. and my wonderful friend set me up in this place for 5 days. It is convenient, centrally-located, clean, amazing and cheap as can be. A single room was all of 47 Euros a night and included a full bed a small sleeping area to be sure but there was a desk and two chairs and a full-service bathroom and closet. Madrid in the Central City area close to everything, $47 a night exceptional value.
