It has been an amazing experience to attend to the virtual tours that Colorful wines had been organising. Each week Jimena takes you to a different region or presents a type of wine and it's like you are there in Spain with her; you can imagine what would it be to visit those wineries and savour a glass of wine while enjoying magnificent scenery. I particularly appreciate learning of the history that has allowed those wines to become what they are, the influence that Phoenicians or Romans had had. Then you get to try authentic gems from each region that I could had easily overlook without Jimena's expert guidance. The icing on the cake is to learn which food best pairs with the wine you are enjoying. I can't recommend you enough to join the next virtual tour, you will be hooked!!!

Great wine tour to Ribera del Duero! Highly recommended! Many thanks to Jimena and team for organized a personalized “one day tour” of two extraordinary wineries in Ribera del Duero: Bodegas Protos and Dominio de Cair. In both, we visited the wineries and tasted excellent wines. For lunch we went to an authentic restaurant of the region “Lagar de Isilla”, where we were able to visit a cellar of the 16th century. We really enjoyed the tour and especially being guided by Jimena. Her passion and knowledge for wine make the visit memorable. Many thanks Jime, and hope to see you soon.

I recently went with some friends to a beautiful winery near Madrid, and we experienced different wines (although my favorite ones are Rioja wines, I loved the wines from Madrid DO we tasted) and also gastronomic specialties. We absolutely loved it, it was a great experience! Jimena was a wonderful guide who showed us the area, described everything in depth and detailed all the wine characteristics. We tasted fabulous wines and the winery was really nice. Would love to repeat the experience, next time probably in Ribera del Duero!

Great way To discover Madrid while eating some tapas and discovering wines !

Jimena organized a couple of days of walking through the Champagne region for us. We visit from large wineries to small producers. All their advice was exceptional and especially the planning of the tour since we had limited time. It is undoubtedly important to seek advice from people like her who have lived in France and know the region very well. He also made restaurant reservations for us. 100% satisfied and looking forward to doing more wine trips with the help and advice of Colorful Wines.

I booked the private Rioja virtual tasting with Jimena for my husband's birthday and we had a great time! It was fantastic to connect with his family and friends after so many weeks of lockdown, drink some excellent wine and eat food pairings recommended by Jimena all while learning about the region and winemaking process of Rioja. I highly recommend Colorful wines to anyone looking for a fun and educative wine tour.

Jimena, unfortunately could not be with us on our Wine & Tapas tour, instead she arranged for another sommelier to be with us. Esther was exceptional in her knowledge and manner. We visited three different wine bars and tasted vermouth straight from the barrel for the first time in an old bar, exquisite! The two other wine bars were amazing, we particularly liked the Cava and Amontillado at Vides and of course the tortilla. Tasting red wines from Rioja and Ribera Del Duero side by side was a wonderful way to finish the evening. We will definitely do this tour again when we are next in Madrid.

I arranged a full day wine tour with Jimena for a corporate event in Madrid for 22 people, we visited multiple stunning vineyards and finished the day off with a gorgeous bbq lunch on top of a mountain overlooking the rolling hills. My group are quite particular and I had several bespoke requests that Jimena managed to cater to perfectly. We honestly had the most outstanding experience, something that we will remember for a lifetime. The standard and service was extraordinary and I would highly recommend.

Jimena was a great guide. We did the tapas and wine tour with her. My only regret is that we didn't spend more time together. Jimena was very knowledgeable about wines and answered all of our questions. Learning about the food and culture made the experience very enriching and I'm grateful for it. My wife and I very much enjoyed our wine tasting trip to Duero del Ribera with Jimena. She picked us up at our Madrid hotel with a driver, and off we went. Need to stop for lunch??!!! Nope. The wineries had such beautiful food, it was not necessary. In fact , the brunch at Pedrosa was one of our most memorable meals in Spain. She picked great wineries and had excellent wine knowledge. A fun day, sent home lots of wine, and was as fun as we hoped it would be :)

Such a special experience! I reserved the private jamón and wine tour with Jimena as a Christmas gift for my husband. From the moment I reached out to Jimena, she was super responsive and accommodating. My husband loves jamón and learning about wine, so this was pretty much his dream come true. While not quite the aficionado he is, I had a great time, too!

Virtual wine tasting??? Really??? AMAZING with JIMENA! ....i did loads of tastings at vinyards and had my doubts about how the hell can u do this virtual. BUT i was convinced by the opposite. Learned a lot had fun and only can reccomend....find it out yourself

We have had the opportunity to enjoy 4 wine tasting sessions with Colorful Wines during our lockdown. Although our main purpose was to give us something different to do, it has been a great learning experience, Ximena makes it very educational with key facts and history as well as differences between each wine region in Spain. We learn about the types of grapes, the impact of the climate, the process, storage, etc. We are looking forward to our next virtual tasting and preparing for a real live one as soon as we can.

I am going to make the summary in Spanish because it could also be of interest to people in South America. We were a mixed group with people from China, Holland and Panama. Everything was super well organized, a full but not tight agenda. 4 very different wineries. I'm also going to do a tasting in Madrid with Jimena one of these days.
