A friend of ours recommended to us Bun N Burger he and his wife say the food is really good and restaurant have a classic theme from many generations things you don't see anymore. Our friends tell us it's CASH ONLY bring cash or you have to walk two block to the CVS to get cash at the ATM. Many people come to Bun N Burger to have breakfast or lunch they enjoy the food. We step in the restaurant it feel like going back in time then waitress show our table and also hand us the menu. We were looking at the menu and decided what to order my wife order the chorizo plate and waffle and decided to order the Bun N Burger omlette comes with toast. The waitess brought the food it looks so good including my Bun N Burger omlette I took a bite the omlette was very favorable with the steak and onion, green pepper I enjoy it and also I like is the home potato very good especially the guacamole on top the omlette. My wife enjoy her chorizo plate because it wasn't greasy she enjoy it. She also enjoy her waffle with strawberries on top. We need to come back again.

Friendly customers service. Hospitality from Waitress and Cashier. Cash only. Good food, good portions. Clean uncrowded place to enjoy breakfast /Coffee. The menu looked good, however I enjoyed a breakfast special that's written on a sandwich board outside. We sat inside a cozy booth, main entrance. However, there's a large dining area available. If you enjoy a large country breakfast with a slice of vintage memorabilia of when and how this location came to be. Then you'll find this place right for you and family.

Great burgers, yummy fries, and excellent service! The folks working here seem to work super hard, making sure to move swiftly to customers. I was asked about 2-3 times how my meal was and if I needed anything. Servers would make sure folks felt comfortable and that what they need would be ready fast as they could help it. The ONLY thing is that this place is cash only. So bring cash! Also, the day I went there was no outside seating (Saturday at 1pm) but I wish there was! The interior is super cute though, and I was able to sit by the door. Burger was delicious and I didn't need to add anything. The fries were perfect, but salt and pepper isn't added much before hand. So you can add just as much or little as you like! Super looking forward to trying their breakfast.

A friend took me to this cute & cozy restaurant. As soon as I walked in, I loved the decor. There's a counter to sit at with the visible kitchen on the other side. There's booths on the window side. However you can go into a much larger dining area with more booths but tables as well. In both rooms, the walls are decorated with all sorts of knickknacks & photos of Elvis. Being a Coca Cola fan, I'm mesmerized by all the Coke products from bottles, signs, trays, pins, etc. Food is American & Mexican. All of which is delicious! Service was really good & our waitress was friendly. This is one of my favorite places now.

Great little spot; haven't eaten here in decades... not sure why I stopped! Delicious Mexican food. My wife's new spot for taquitos. She said waaaaay better than pepe's. Authentic rice, beans and salsa too.

Great little place to eat, with inside and cool outside seating. Their spinach omelette was delicious. I had a hamburger, fries, and a shake a few weeks back, also very good. My mom, and brother and I used to visit here on occasion when we were kids, always a treat! (And quite a few years ago!) And to this day, a very nice family-run business. :-)

This is your classic neighborhood restaurant. Big counter to sit at and lots of booths and tables. The decor is full of the history of Alhambra and classic posters, advertisements and memorabilia. The food was very solid and we enjoyed it. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. The picante sauce they make is delicious!

Been driving by for years, admiring the building, but mostly thought it was closed. But the food is good and the atmosphere was outstanding. Best I can tell it's been in the family since the post war, as described in clipping below, and there were regulars and old families at the tables. The place has a lot of great clutter and tchochkes. Anyway I showed up with the Worm and we was right pleased and the food was good. They got a burrito which was tasty and I got the rancheros and we shared a short stack. All pretty good, not outstanding, but just as you'd expect in a family run restaurant. And the coffee was perfect.

Very quaint diner. Has an old vibe to it. Very chill. My waiter is very hospitable. Great to place to come to grab a bite and step out of the Hussle and bussle. Treat yourself once and while and come by this diner; grab a coffee and zone out for while. Note, they filmed a movie scene at night here that starred Denzel Washington. 👍👍👍

Food was meh. Certainly nothing to write home about but doable. They were busy and only had two servers. Way too much for them. Understandably the service was not too great but had the food been yummy that would have been okay… We were all disappointed with the food. I would not suggest this place to family or friends.

Really wanted to give5 stars to this place. It was recommended by a coworker. She really said the food was great.I arrive with my family and the 1st thing I noticed was the waitress and cook were very disorganized. We walked in and we didn't get service until 10 minutes. And that Is when we Asked can we sit down somewhere? Waitress just then proceeded to say sure wherever you want. Upon sitting down. We were giving menus right away. We knew what we wanted to drink. We asked for the basic soda and coffee. waitress said oh we don't have coffee. No coffee at a restaurant that is very unexpected. We then ordered what seemed available From the menu which is came back 10 minutes later. Saying what we had ordered was not available? We then ordered something else from the menu when waitress came back with their food. Many items were incorrect food taste. Was very average nothing special. really wish This place was something else. will not be going back again.

The food was delicious! It’s an old school like dinner. The chilaquiles were amazing not to hot they were just right. I also had a menudo and it did not disappoint. I brought my wife and daughter here and they also enjoyed their meal, the server was very friendly and welcoming.

Alicia and Art for over forty years still do a great job with excellent food and service here at the Bun n Burger in the city of Alhambra. I highly recommend this memorable and iconic breakfast and lunch establishment. Enjoy!
