Zero stars. I reserved correctly and paid but received no contact from the establishment. I called and emailed and waited outside alone at night with my luggage during the written check-in hours but received absolutely no contact. HORRIBLE SERVICE! AVOID!

It seems impossible to get a human being on the phone to ask any questions. The option for "immediate assistance for a guest from a property manager" turns out to be an invalid option. This makes me concerned as a potential guest.

Bathroom needed better cleaned. Parking when arriving at night is a challenge. We got lucky that a party ended and people were leaving. Otherwise would have been very difficult to find a spot. Dogs were barking next door. For the price and last minute booking it wasn't horrible.

Never stay here I stay on the block and the guest that stay there are horrible catch then dumping trash outside neighbors houses block driveway and when you ask them to please don't block they get mad there's tagging now outside the building playing load music with there cars park in the middle of the street, management need to come and do something about it so annoying

Was a very nice experience! Had everything needed and especially at such an affordable price! Is really perfect if you are driving from out of town (as it is a little bit outside of the usual hotspots... but you get to become more knowledgeable about an L.A. neighborhood (or three)! Davonya & Christian were very welcoming and make my and my friend's stay, very pleasant!

Booked for one night as a last minute option and wound up staying four days. It's a very comfortable, low-key, independent hostel in a quiet part of the neighborhood while still being close to frequent public transit. The Mortal Kombat machine is a nice touch.

Do not stay at this place the own staff will steal your belongings. When I asked for the staffs payment credentials to send over payment for shipping they did not respond. Which I already had provided them my address. They responded after the 30 days saying they "disposed" my belongings. As if I did not already establish a line of communication while I was at the airport on my way back home.

Met so many fun people here. This is now my go to hostel when in LA. LOVED IT!!..

A place to stay if you don't mind taking shower in the dark and sleeping in poor air quality. The former is from the *smart* light in the bathroom, and the latter is from roommates' body odor and bad air circulation.

To make this clear, this review is not about the place but about the customer service I received as a "potential" customer. After my last review, Justine finally replied to my email on May 11 saying they'll look into the refund. Unfortunately, again nothing happened after that, and NO ONE would pick up the phone even as I followed the instruction by selecting option 5. After emailing and calling every day this week, I'm left with no option but to leave this review here. Hopefully, Justine will "again" show up and provide their basic customer service... So after almost 6 months of going back and forth with the hostel and the bank, the amount was finally credited back to the account.

I loved the view at night from the private room “clarity”. It’s also very quiet at night. Everyone is respectful of quiet hours.

Joy is a great host! She responded immediately to our reservation request and went the extra mile to accommodate us. She even gave us extra pillows :)

The place is beautiful; I love the patio. I had the lobster mac with a Bompton Punch.

This place is a complete scam, I booked the private suite at about 5:20 pm and arrived and waited outside in my car for my booking details for over half an hour, when I finally received my door code, what was advertised as a private suite with a balcony was actually a small unkept room with two 4 bunk beds no room to walk and nothing else, literally. They then immediately emailed me again saying that the room had not been prepared and that I would have to wait for someone to arrive at the property so that they could clean and prepare the room, by this time I had already been waiting for almost an hour only to find out I was being scammed. I asked for a refund immediately and they agreed that it wouldn't be a problem over the phone, but instead I received an email already formatted stating they would not give me a refund, they even sent fake pictures of another room claiming that was the room I was assigned even though it absolutely was not. This place and the staff have no problem denying and lying about all their reviews, they shamelessly deny and make false responses in their reviews, it's truly amazing. This place should not be in business period, it's just a dirty house with fake pictures and when you get there and realize this they refuse to refund you.The automated email responses are very disgenuine and clearly criminal.

I booked this hostel roughly a week before our intended stay and revived the confirmation. The day of the trip I was curious about check-in and sent an email only to find out that it was overbooked and that we had no where to stay. Had I not reached out, we would have shown up to check in and found that we needed to find a new place to spend the night, that night. They apologized and issued a refund but what an awful predicament we were put in. Can’t attest to anything room wise, unfortunately.
