Restaurant
&
Cheesery
is
a
fantastic
spot
in
Old
Town
Pasadena.
The
food
is
fresh
and
flavorful,
the
space
warm
and
inviting
and
the
service
friendly
and
welcoming.
We
ordered
several
items
from
the
menu
and
split
everything.
This
initial
dining
experience
included
the
Marinated
Olives,
Crispy
Cheese
Curds,
Green
Oak
Lettuces,
Loaded
Baked
Potato
Dumplings
and
Spaghetti
and
Clams.
We
washed
it
all
down
with
solid
dirty
martinis.
The
Marinated
Olives
were
robust,
rich,
meaty
and
flavorful.
They’re
marinated
with
rosemary,
chili,
lemon
and
garlic.
The
Crispy
Cheese
Curds
were
a
standout
dish.
I
don’t
have
a
lot
a
experience
with
cheese
curds,
but
will
now
if
they’re
anything
like
these.
They’re
crispy
with
a
perfect
balance
of
heat
and
crunch.
The
thinly
sliced
celery
and
Fresno
peppers
add
balance
to
the
rich
curds
and
blue
cheese
dressing.
I
absolutely
loved
this
dish.
The
salad
was
very
nice.
The
lettuces
were
fresh
and
tender,
and
the
dressing
was
very
robust
and
flavorful.
I
loved
the
mustard
and
shallots,
offset
by
the
dates.
Great
start
to
the
meal.
The
Loaded
Potato
Dumplings
were
another
highlight
of
the
meal.
It’s
a
burst
of
flavors
-
sharp
cheddar,
tangy
sour
cream,
crunchy
and
salty
bacon
bits,
the
green
of
the
broccoli
all
topped
with
tiny
crunchy
shoe
string
potatoes.
When
I
ordered
this
dish,
I
imagined
they
would
be
like
pierogis,
but
they
are
definitely
more
in
the
gnocchi
category.
So
good.
The
Spaghetti
with
Clams
ended
up
being
our
least
favorite
dish
-
not
that
it
was
bad
-
it
just
wasn’t
as
good
as
the
other
dishes.
I
loved
the
chewy
texture
of
the
hand-cut
noodles.
But
overall
the
dish
was
more
delicate
and
subdued
than
the
others
we
ordered.
The
service
was
really
very
nice.
I
will
definitely
return
to
order
the
salad,
cheese
curds
and
dumplings.,
and
to
explore
more
of
the
menu.
In
the
future,
I
hope
they
get
blue
cheese
olives
for
their
martinis.
It’s
a
cheesery!
