The 4 piece fried chicken is great. It's half of a chicken on top of fries. The walleye is also great. Everything is made to order, so you may have to wait 10-20 minutes. Watch out for the local bums, but the food is worth it.

Oct 2020 – Amir's Krispy Krunchy Chicken ranks first on my list in Peoria Magazine's Food & Culinary comfort food feature article, “Tastes like home to me”. Just ordered another 8 piece dark again. OMG seriously one if the best places in town for fried chicken. Call ahead for your order 15-20 minutes for pickup. If it goes to voicemail, hang up and call again. I have found that I have found myself a new little spot that I can go to and be able to get my cigarettes for a whole lot cheaper than anywhere else that I go and Amir's have some good a food there

The best fried chicken and fish in Peoria, IL. Better than Popeyes and KFC. Amir's is moving to the front of the line when it comes to name recognition for catering as well. Paired with local craft beer and you have a winning event.

Amir's is a small convenience store with the best ever fried chicken and catfish! Always fresh, battered and cooked to order, chicken is so tender and moist with perfect crust. Catfish the same. Only place I know that serves gizzards..these need work..tasty but overcooked and tough. Would be wonderful if boiled first to tenderize the quick fried. And don't forget to get the lemon pepper sprinkled on after cooked...they totally won me over on that!
