Café Mochi! Pretty good Japanese restaurant here in the Lou! Very nice spot, nice location, nice patio, nice sushi, The lobster 🦞 roll is amazing, although don’t fall for the picture like I did! The lobster shell is actually empty and there only for the looks! It was still very tasty and worth it! Every is good, would recommend The tea also was good and the ice cream 🍨 They also got some good Japanese beer 🍻

Was going to a nearby business when I notice this location. The garden area looked a little busy and very appealing but food looked amazing. Decided to give it a try and I must say it was a GREAT decision. The staff was amazing and efficient even though they were busy. Within minutes we were taken to a table in the garden area. They soon came back with waters. No much later she came back to take our orders. We waited about 15 minutes before we got our food. Was very surprised how fast it came out. We order two rolls, soup and tempura vegetables. The pho bo soup was really taste. It was made really well and the portions were big. The tempura was served on a bed a rice. Tempura was crunchy and tasted really good. We also order the spicy tuna roll and the volcano roll. Both tasted good and were good portions. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone.

One of my favorite places in St. Louis. I noticed people smoking on their patio, so I opted to dine inside. Luckily I was seated upstairs, which is my favorite. The service is very friendly--I had miso soup, vegetable tempura (HUGE portion), and the sushi appetizer, which is half a California roll and several pieces of sashimi (fish on a mound of rice). Their food is always delicious. The tempura was actually my favorite part. It was quiet upstairs, and I was happy to see a gender-neutral bathroom up there as well. A very relaxing and restful meal after a busy day. Also super filling!

I’ll start by saying Cafe Mochi is usually one of our favorite sushi places in Stl, but we are extremely disappointed with our food today. We ordered in for a birthday, and was very disappointed to find that the specifics we discussed over the phone were not included in our order. When I brought it to their attention, I was asked if I could just wipe it off instead being offered a discount, or for it to be remade. Four rolls for $58 were not made correctly, and after having to ask for a discount we were given $10 off our food. We spent too much money to not be accommodated better. We’ll find another establishment to place large sushi orders with moving forward!🤷🏾‍♀️

Be prepared to not want to eat sushi anywhere else. This is absolutely amazing food. Highly recommend ordering a volcano roll. The mochi raccoons are fantastic as well. Been here several times, even brought a friend in 4 days in a row and she didn't get tired of eating here :)

My partner and I had a date night at Cafe Mochi about a week ago. Neither one of us had been here before. We were newbies and had a great time. The wait staff was inviting upon entering. We were taken to a table upstairs as the downstairs area was closed off. The ambiance of this establishment was very intimate and cozy. There was some nice art throughout on the walls. The menu had lots to choose from and I couldn't decide what I wanted. We definitely sampled each other's food as well. It didn't take long for our food to come once we did get our order in. The portions were good sizes and filling. You do have to wear your mask until seated inside the restaurant. There's some outside seating as well. But we sat inside. The establishment is wheelchair accessible for the accessing the first floor even though it was closed off, but I'm unsure if they had elevator to get you to the second floor. The outside seating maybe best. Parking is usually limited coming to any place on South Grand because the restaurants are so popular. There is parking on the street at a meter or in the residential neighborhood. You can bring your family including children to this establishment. #Tonetta #couplewithsoul

A long time friend invited us to try sushi for the first time. I'm so glad we came here every roll was a new flavor that pleased out taste buds. The server was friendly was a little sassy mixed in. Loved the serve and the atmosphere. Will be back soon.

Service is good. Volcano Roll never disappoints. I usually get the Negi-maki roll also but didn’t get it this time so it’s not pictured. Definitely recommend though. Was surprised they served sweet shrimp sushi too. One of the better sushi places in St. Louis. They also serve some Vietnamese dishes too but I haven’t tried it. Maybe next time.

Great overall!!! Don't go here if you're trying to be cheap. Lol!! Honestly, there are reasonable prices, but as you see, we got a lot. The food is so fresh & good!! Our favorite sushi place.

Walked in for dinner with my friend and her two children. We waited at least 7-10 minutes for an host to greet to us. When the host returned they spoke to and offered the person that came in after us table service. My friend mentioned aloud that we were also waiting to be seated. The energy was off and didn’t make us feel welcomed not enthusiastic to dine in. A few minutes later another staff member approached us to offer us the table next to the front door which wasn’t the best option for us with two young children so we left.

The mochi is delicious and the sushi is top notch. The portions are fantastic for the price and the service is amazing. They have a lovely large fenced patio on South Grand, perfect for people watching or pup watching!

Not a single bad thing to say. Beautiful place, we were sat by a big window. Ate a wide array of sushi and our server was delightful

I love the sushi and noodles at Cafi Mochi! It’s my go to spot when I’m wanting time sushi and noodles. The Sobq noodles are so delicious! I enjoyed every bit of this meal! Easy, 10/10

82 dollars for 4 rolls and a fried rice. The rolls were fine. The tempura rolls were mushy and cold. Waste of money. Will hunt for the next spot. Update. Throwing up at 130am repeatedly right. I didn’t eat anything all day this has to be it. God bless my stomach is wrecked. I eat a lot of sushi. Never felt this poor before after eating it. Definitely finding a new spot.

This is by far our favorite sushi restaurant in St. Louis. The food is always great, and I never need to worry about gluten-free options. Highly recommended!!!

There is an area for dining outside. Amazing pho soup 😋, and I got a huge mango martini which is delicious 😍 , I will come back for sashimi next time

I’ve never been here or stepped foot in the door. I simply called to try and place an order and forgot to let the man who answered the phone know that it would be 2 orders instead of just 1, he was very rude and if you’d like people to eat at your restaurant it’s custom to be kind. I understand you may be busy which was clearly stated however it’s not okay to take it out on everyone else.

One of my favorite spots on South Grand. Fantastic Asian food including fresh sushi. Get a veitnamese coffee to go, the best!!

Good atmosphere in the dining room, but my sushi took a long time to arrive even for a Friday night and was room temperature when it did get there. The table next to me got some other table's order entirely. The bathroom was small and was not very clean.
