Such a gem. Whether you love synthesizers, are an artist, or just want to try out some classic toys this is the best spot. I flew in from NYC to pick up a keyboard case and wanted something fun to do with my friend before I caught a flight to Arizona — the Vintage Synthesizer Museum was that and so much more. Thank you Lance for your passion and creating / sharing a synthesizer haven! - DAKOTA WAYNE

Such a cool space! Came for the monthly sound bath, may return for one of the cool beginner synthesizer classes they offer! Such a fun, unique, relaxing, off the beaten path LA experience.

Booked a 1 hour visit as a birthday surprise. My boyfriend had an awesome time. I also had fun, despite knowing nothing about synths. Owner was very knowledgeable but left us alone for the most part.

The Vintage Synth Museum is one of my favorite places to visit in the Bay Area. Lance, who runs the museum, is super friendly and knowledgeable and can help run you through operation and programming on any of the gear there. The rates are super reasonable, and the selection of gear is crazy! Vintage ARPs and Moogs, you got it. Roland Jupiter 4, 6, AND 8?! 303s, 808s, 909s, Oberheims, Korgs, Yamahas, a Fairlight?! They have it all and it's all set up for you to record whatever you like. Don't miss a chance to get your hands on some of the greatest instruments in electronic music history. This place is a must-visit for any DJs or producers who are visiting the Bay Area and want to spend some time on some instruments you may never have a chance to play.

Incredible collection of synthesizers. Lance helped immensley by explaining the fundamentals of how synthesizers work and walked me through a lot of the various instruments. Had a fantastic time with my friends, can't recommend highly enough.

Some may think 'museum' is a misnomer for this place, but it really is a rare collection of vintage synthesizer beauties worthy of the title. the rooms are filled wall to wall with synthesizers, electric pianos, drum machines, and effects. They were meant to be enjoyed, and a display wouldn't do them justice. The 'studio time' is extremely affordable for what you get. They have the place set up ready to record just about anything, either with the in-house equipment or your own if you'd like. I was visiting SF for a business trip and was easily able to set up a time to visit. Another reviewer mentioned the website being unhelpful...but it must have been updated since then. My appointment was four hours, but that was hardly enough! The proprietor is very friendly and helpful, and will quickly get you up to speed on any hardware you might not be familiar with. If you're an artist looking to get some authentic vintage sounds for your next project and don't want to break the bank, if you or someone you know loves vintage analog gear, or if you're anywhere in between, do yourself a favor check this place out!

Life long audio nerd here. This place is incredible. This place is an entire multiverse of audio possibilities. Lance is very passionate and knowledgeable. I feel like I know what I like so much more now. There is just nothing like having these objects at your finger tips. Don’t bring your super soaker.

Dozens of synth from simple mono to super polyphonic. From moog to fairlight. Have basic synth workshop and sound bath events. The workshop is the best way to get a chance to touch any gear during the last hour after the first 3 hours of handson tech lab. Fun fun fun

You rent out the space by the hour and it's an all-you-can-play synth buffet! Super impressive selection of both classic and weird/obscure vintage synths (and effects modules), all in working order. Everything goes to a central computer so you can actually record tracks if you want to make a song using the synths.

Such an amazing collection, came in as a group of 4 and we each had our own corner to play around in :) A true gem.

I think a museum should be affordable to all. So They should call that place "Vintage Synthesizer Private Collector's Room." The entrance fee is not for the large public.
