This is a non-meat and meat review. This is one of my go to Cantonese style restaurant. The decorations are beautiful. I craved for some stir fried rice noodles with gravy, but they were out of rice noodles. I ordered the chicken egg with gravy over rice instead. I specifically asked to substitute something else, e.g. tofu or mushroom for chicken and no chicken bouillon. Some places just gave you a puddle of white rice and called it a day. this place stir fried the rice with egg first, which added a layer of flavor to my gravy rice! Thanks! And I just have faith in the chefs that they didn't add any meat products to my orders! After all, this is not a vegetarian restaurant. Same for the spicy and sour soup. The server delighted did. He was kind and polite. The shrimp crispy noodles we ordered looks good. They separate the noodles and the gravy, which is nice. I was able to scoop out some crispy noodles to snack on before we added the sauce. I'm thankful for the little move by the restaurant! I feel I can still enjoy it even though I don't eat meat anymore! 😊 And look, they use the yellow chive, which is normally more expensive than green chive or other stuff. They even added a piece of lemon to your water. The restaurant looks clean and utensils are clean! No comment on the kitchen staff or cleanliness because you don't want to know how the sausage is made! Hahaha! Overall, highly recommend this place. And I don't mind the mandatory 12% charge, tips are 15, 18, 20% nowadays anyway.

Henry’s Cuisine is a Chinese/Viet restaurant in 📍Alhambra, CA with a great selection of classic Cantonese dishes @eatswithedith on IG 🍽️Ordered: 1. Honey glazed pork chops 2. Vietnamese style filet mignon 3. Fish fillet with black bean sauce 4. Pea sprouts with garlic 5. Chicken & corn soup 6. Tofu with veggies 7. String beans w/ pork 8. Shrimp w/ salted egg yolk The food here is a bit pricier than your typical restaurant in SGV but the portions are huge and the flavors are on point. Every dish here stood out but if I had to choose a favorite, it would def be the pork chops. The pork chops are lightly breaded and fried on the outside and paired with the most delicious tangy yet sweet sauce. It was so tender and each bite was perfect 👌🏻 The fish fillet was also super tender so I would highly recommend getting that dish. I love coming to these restaurants with friends and sharing everything family style because it reminds me of my childhood weekend dins anddd you get to try a bunch of different dishes :,) 💰Price: $50/person

The dishes were a little pricey but worth it for my MIL bday dinner. The lobster was $34.00 a pound, plus extra noodles inside of lobster came out $160.00

Henry’s cuisine has reopened. This used to be our go to restaurant for Chinese food lunch before the pandemic. Unlike other HK style Cafe, Henry’s Cuisine offers some unique food. One of their signature dishes is their lobster with Vietnamese spices. With heave South East species such a lemon grass, small shallots, garlic and other spices, this dish becomes ambrosial food. Another favorite here is the pig’s knuckle in Germany Cooking style. The skins are very crispy yet the whole knuckle doesn’t taste overwhelmingly fatty. Filet mignon in French style is another of my must order dish. The beef is so tender that it literally melts in your mouth. The black pepper sauce helps the taste of the beef to elevate to another level. They also do a good job on their usual HK cafe foods such as the egg waffle, pan fried rice noodles and veges. Their Milk tea is not bad either, so is their red bean with milk drink.

Delicious Canto food!! I came with a canto speaker who paid for me so unfortunately I cannot comment on price. Service was good, food came out fast, and food was yummy!! Parking gets a little crowded but we were able to find a spot. Their decorations are really cute inside and surprised me for an Asian place. I especially liked their colorful lobster pics and golden covered crab shell decorations. We ordered the string beans (so yummy and has a spicy kick), German style pig feet, honey walnut shrimp, and fried fish (the name is escaping me but will be pictured). We also got the Hong Kong style coffee and milk tea and that was friggin yummy!!!! I would come back just for that! The flavors of coffee and hk milk tea colliding were phenomenal 😋

An amazing place for authentic Cantonese cuisine, especially the seafood! It’s a super popular spot for local Cantonese families so come early or you will be in a line.

Great seafood and ambiance. If you want the winter melon soup, make sure to order a day in advance. It’s worth the effort!

I think this is our favorite Cantonese restaurant in LA. We been here more than 20 time in 2 years and every time we ordered their lobster dishes. Me and my wife aren’t really big fan of lobster except their dishes. Every time we visit here with 10-15 people one at a time so we tried all of their dishes. Overall we love their foods and price. They are canton but they don’t serve tea with teapot. Also they don’t have hard liquor, only beer and wine. They have huge parking lot so perfect for family gathering or big parties. Highly recommend who doesn’t care about atmosphere because they are not ‘fancy’ restaurant also very loud.

Cantonese cuisine is disappearing in LA area. This is definitely one of the last restaurant and hopefully they keep the quality. Add Oil!

Cantonese style fried lobster - fresh off the water and very tasty; you can find this famous dish in many other places, but this one is better than most out there (because it is not too salty). Other plates are also good; with the lobster it is $50 per person (including tax), and without the lobster it is about $30 per person.

Dare I say, better than Newport Seafood or Boston Lobster. We ordered Lobster, Tiger Prawns over glass noodles, the Vietnamese style fried fish, the egg yolk fried shrimp, the black pepper filet mignon, pork knuckle with crispy skin, etc. It was all delicious and the shrimps were nice and plump and tasted fresh.

I have absolutely no complaints about this place. Service is fast, the place is huge and has a ton of seating. A great place for breakfast on a Sunday morning. They have Western Breakfast and Chinese Breakfast options: My friend group got a variety of both. Chinese breakfast: we tried were the black egg porridge + nice noodles. (Another friend got the same thing but got fried noodles with her porridge) Western breakfast: steak + 2 pieces of toast and oat meal The portions were very generous and prices were very affordable. $9 and $11 pre-tax for Chinese and Western breakfast respectively.

My family's favorite place. Food is always great. Not too salty or greasy just consistently great. Was kind of expensive during the pandemic but is cheaper now. Parking is never an issue and I hope it stays that way.

I love Henry's. Nice family size dishes. Sweet and sour fish. Honey glazed pork chops and Vietnamese style filet are my favorites. Fish is always fried perfect.

Important: 14% fee (as of today) is added to all orders and they have a spot on the bill for additional tips. Food are good. Service is fine. Parking can be pretty full during meal times, but serving food all day. We ordered fried fish (whole), pork and daily veggies and fried rice, all very good. My phone is out of battery while visiting bit no difference, because we all dived in and forgot about taking pictures haha. Will come back again.

This place surprised me with the quality of food. A great place for classic Chinese food. We ordered the honey fried pork, halibut, a soup, and the salted egg shrimp. And for the finale, the pork with the crispy skin. The salted egg shrimp is so good. I've had salted egg pumpkin and honey walnut shrimp but never salted egg shrimp. It is deep fried and dusted with the salted egg seasoning and it is delicious. Both pork dishes were good. The portion size is good too. Service is your typical Chinese restaurant service. Parking is easy with a private lot. The decor is really nice. More of your upper class Chinese restaurant feel with glass dividers separating the tables. Overall: Might return for some Chinese food

Very special Chinese restaurant. It's lobster, fish fillets and beef are with Vietnamese style/taste. Definitely, a good try. My uncle told me that this one of the best Chinese restaurant in town.

I liked Henry's Cuisine. We ordered off the lunch menu and the 3 dishes and the cost was $85.00. It seemed pricey for lunch. The shrimp was our favorite but not great. I call this restaurant American Chinese cuisine. We will return to this Henry's Cuisine and try different dishes.

Vietnamese style filet mignon beef, assorted vegetable stir fry, fish filet w/ assorted veggies, seafood tofu soup. Tasty, but a lil pricey $20-$25.

November 2022: Came here for dinner and had a delicious meal. Ordered a salted fish tofu chicken bowl, a House Special tiger 🐅 prawn with glass noodle dish, sauteed fish with black bean sauce, stir fried pea tips in garlic sauce, and the Vietnamese style filet mignon. Everything was really tasty 😋. The House Special tiger 🐅 prawn dish was very unique. There was roast duck 🦆 meat, skin and sauce that made the dish really stand out! 😀👍 From a classic Cantonese stir fry, the salted fish tofu chicken dish was really good. The sauteed fish with black bean sauce was probably #1. Simple but executed well! Overall, would highly recommend this place and will be back for more delicious food 😋.

Delicious Authentic Food and Dining experience. The sweet and sour pork to me especially tasty but all of the dishes we tried were full of flavor. A nice authentic Family style restaurant it is kids friendly but maintains charming ambiance perfect for any occasion.

Came here on Mother's Day. Made a reservation a month prior. My parents love this place because each table is well sectioned off with tall plastic coverings so they feel safe dining here during Covid. They charge 12% gratuity right off the bat and they let you know that they'll need the table back in 1.5 hrs. Food was excellent as always and I think the gratuity is worth it because they give really good service. Highly recommend if you're looking for an above average Chinese food dining experience!
