Review for February 21st 2022. The Huntington Japanese garden is located within the Huntington Library located in San Marino California. It is a beautiful place to come and visit and chill and relax and meditate. They are some hike Trails here that you can take. There's lots of walking and lots of things to see and take pictures. Beautiful place hidden within the Los Angeles County. I'm not guilty, to say that I absolutely love the Japanese garden. It closely resembled the authentic Gardens in Japan. I am very excited to be able to review this place because I really enjoyed it. I definitely recommend anyone coming here to come visit this peaceful tranquil part of California's history.

Really beautiful gardens complimented by a full art museum and library. With on-site cafe and coffee shop, you can definitely spend a full day here. The grounds are massive, so wear comfortable shoes and buckle up for a beautiful walk through some of the most vibrant gardens I've ever been to!

It is well worth the admission cost and the drive. This place is bigger than Disneyland and I only got a chance to visit a few gardens and they were all mire beautiful than any of the gardens I have gone to in this area. There are plenty of parking and you can actually bring some stuff to picnic to a certain point. You won't regret.

AMAZING garden! The Chinese garden section is amazing. it stunned me more despite me going for the Japanese. Well worth the money! It took us three hours to get though

Bring comfortable shoes to walk and water especially during hot days. It's a beautiful place with endless things to see from gardens, flowers, and art. Get here early too so you can capture as much as you can.

Amazing Gardens with themes from across the world. Definitely worth the trip (flew in from TN). The Japanese and Chinese gardens are by far the best. Zero litter or trash and excellent care of the gardens with expansion work in progress. The Tea House and Jade House Cafe are definitely worth the prices as well! A must visit for Californias and a worthy visit location for out of state visitors.

The Hungtington Library has museums, libraries, shops, dining, and 16 amazing gardens. It is located only a 18 min drive from DTLA and is a great way to get away from the big city. This was one of our favorite gardens! 🎟𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐞: Weekdays - $25, Weekends and holidays - $29 Tickets are a bit pricey but so worth it. •The first Thursday of every month is Free Day but you'll need to reserve ahead of time. Free Day tickets are available the last Thursday of every month for admission the following week. ⏳️ 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲: You'll want to spend a full day here because the compound is massive. 🅿️𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: Parking is free but the parking lot fills up pretty quickly, so come early. ❗️𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬: •Bring mosquito repellent, there are many around there. •They have lockers near the entrance if you need to store heavy items. •Wear comfy shoes. I wore platforms and my feet hurt so badly.

Amazing experience there! There is a lot to do and to see since there are a bunch of gardens, personally I think that the Chinese and Japanese gardens are the best. Also very good for kids since they can run and play in tons of places.

Very beautiful!!!! The staff is friendly and there are some interesting museums. I saw a lot of kids enjoying the garden as well. I highly recommend coming here, it's best to get there early so you can try and see the whole garden and the museums.

A huge and magical estate, gardens and art gallery in the beautiful house. The library room was also cool. It was so hot there I felt like I was going to get heat stroke though so make sure you can spend time in the buildings with ac cause it's not too shady or cool in the garden.

I had heard and read about this place but never got a chance to visit. April 2022 was the first time I went there and oh my God what an experience. Such an oasis in the middle of the Metropolitan City of LA. There was so much to see and the caretakers have done a wonderful job of laying out the plants and keeping ithem alive. I will get an annual pass so I can go there more often.

I've been here on multiple occasions. It's absolutely stunning and so much to explore. Came here after all the rain 05/11/23 and the rose garden was flourishing. Which are the photos I shot of my gorgeous friend. Came back again 07/31/23 and the videos and phone cam shots are what is posted. It was a cloudy day but hot. The flowers werent as flourished but it's still pretty to be around. Entrance is $25pp and you can actually use that entrance fee to go towards a membership. I am not sure how much it costs but I know my friends with kids love coming here. This is definitely a kid friendly place.

The Huntington Japanese Garden is an exquisite oasis within The Huntington's grounds. Impeccably designed, it transports you to the heart of Japan with its serene pond, lush greenery, and authentic tea house. The bonsai collection is a highlight, and each season brings a new layer of beauty. Whether you're a garden enthusiast or seeking tranquility, this garden is a captivating escape. Don't miss it!

An Enchanting Escape at The Huntington I recently visited The Huntington in Los Angeles, and it was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting or living in this beautiful city. The gardens, art collections, and library exhibits are well-curated treasures that make the price of admission worth every penny. The highlight of my visit was the Desert Garden. I was fortunate enough to see it in full bloom, a rare and spectacular sight. The variety of cacti and succulents, interplaying with vibrant flowers, created a stunning tapestry of colors and forms that seemed almost otherworldly. It was a serene oasis that offered a moment of tranquility and awe amidst the bustle of city life. The Huntington is not just a place, but a journey through nature and art that captivates the soul. Whether you’re seeking inspiration, education, or just a beautiful day out, this institution is a must-see. It’s places like this that enrich our lives and remind us of the beauty that surrounds us.

Very nice place. If someone has difficulty walking be sure to bring appropriate aids. Not a bunch of places to sit close in distance, but there are benches. If you have walking difficulties you can see part of the garden tho and it is worth the visit. Bring water and perhaps a granola bar.

Surreal beauty and grace in a tranquil setting - footpaths up and down the sides of the little valley, a Japanese tea house, a bonsai library (!) and just a sensual feast of flowers trees shrubs ornamentals - just blissful. Follow the meandering path to the Japanese pagoda by the burbling brook and experience tranquility in the middle of a chaotic city

Breath taking and stunning. The park closes at 5 pm, so go early to be able to see all areas. The bonsai collection is impressive with the variety and amount of displays.

The Japanese garden is peaceful and beautiful in spite of the crowds. It has so many lovely view points and more bonsai than I've ever seen in one place. Can't wait to go back.

One of my favourite sectiona of the Gardens here. A beautiful rotating bonsai selection, a fully reconstructed authentic Japanese home (that was once taken apart piece by piece to be sent BACK to Japan for authentic restoration work!) And a little restaurat area. This is a place where you can forget you're in California, and even forget the year.

👍👍 This place is incredible! I’m so blown away by the size of the Chinese garden and the details of the landscaping. This is probably the best Chinese garden I’ve visited outside of China. After showing my family in China these pictures, they all had thought I took a trip back to China! Needless to say...
