    I went in wanting a fish and saw a gorgeous beta fish. After picking up a few supplies, including a beta tank, filtration, and decor, I was ready to tackle finding the right food. The associate came up, didn’t give me any advice on food, but very quickly degraded me, telling me that the tank I had chosen, which specifically said “beta tank” was not big enough, that I would need to run the water a week before buying, that I wasn’t able to buy the fish today as a result of not having prepared water, and then judgmentally went to tell a fellow employee at the register how ill prepared I was. She didn’t help me with food choice but just walked away. Her attitude was very disrespectful. Not helpful at all, just extremely condescending. If the tank I chose, which they sell specifically for beta fish, isn’t good for them then why do they sell it? Don’t rip me to shreds because I assume the tank you’re selling that specifically says “beta tank” on it is adequate for the fish it is sold for. I left, defeated, deciding that a beta was a bad idea after all. I was ready to drop $80+ on that beta, but her attitude and demeanor made sure I left this store empty handed. I will not shop here ever again. I’m all for being educated, which was what I needed and requested, but this was humiliating and unnecessary. Help and condescension don’t mix in retail, and she lost a sale. I would have gladly taken notes and followed through on her tips and suggestions if it had been presented as helpful instead of in such an insulting way.

    Reptile live insects we're all either dead or rotting on the shelves, absolutely disgusting, I did buy my dragon there so I love them for that but otherwise meh 😕

    Making me pay for a bag! Then had to return my item and did not get the refund for the bag. What the hell. The bag should have been refunded. Will not be shopping at Petco any more. This is the first and last time this will happen. What happened to good old customer service?

    Everytime I come in here all the bugs are dead. EVEN CRICKETS!!! They never ever stock their worms. It’s rediculous. It’s December and there are dead worms from September

    Zumbel location: Dawn in grooming is an arrogant individual. She came out when a groomer had a question and made her turn my dog away for mattes on his ears. She said I need to see a vet but my vet checked and said that is the groomers job and is not a medical issue. If she had not been so rude about it in the first place, I would not be so upset but she was. I called to tell her what the vet plus the groomer at St. Peters said (no problem), and she was again rude and said “that’s just how it is”. Being the day before thanksgiving, and being swamped with other dogs, I think was her reasoning with turning away as many as possible. Won’t go back there. St. Peters location is the best.

    Unfortunately I have to change my review. 😓 Kayla did a very good job at grooming my guy, but it was 30 dollars more than what we've been charged in the past. We didn't request anything different than we have in the past either, it was our normal grooming. When we asked her why it cost so much more she processed to tell us that our previous groomers undercharged us and that she has three kids so she can't afford to do the same. 😳 I guess she failed to realize that we're all out here struggling so 30 bucks more was a tough pill to swallow. She also failed to realize that this experience cost her a good tip and our future business.

    Every time I get my dog groomed they charge a different price, this time I had to pay for extra fees I didn’t want, when I complained to manager he just sent be back to groomer who over charged me! Then they won’t answer phone when I called back to ask corporates number.

    "adopted" 3 Mbuna chiclids ❤️❤️❤️ they were surrendered & Petco had taken them in. We, & the fish, are so happy we asked about these guys. They are doing absolutely wonderful & hope we get lucky again sometime.

    Couldn’t find what I needed. Two staff members were too busy talking to each other and would not help. Thankfully, Desiree at the register was able to help me, but I felt bad pulling her from the checkout to help me find what I needed.

    Jimmy in the grooming department took very good care of our dog Toast. He was very polite and Toast looked amazing afterwards. We will be going back once Toast needs her nails trimmed!

    The staff were very pleasant and helpful! When I got to the register, the staff were all assisting other customers, but i thought it was hilarious and pretty ingenious that they had squeaky toys next to the register with a sign that said "please squeak for assistance". As soon as I squeaked the toy, I heard a cheerful "Be right with you!" chime back from somewhere else in the store and I was helped promptly after.

    I would not go back to this location. When we walked in, there was no one around. (Okay, that's fine) We came to buy fish and, The entire time, while in the store, NO ONE asked if we needed help. We looked at fish for at least 15 minutes. A guy even walked down the aisle, looked at us, and walked away. We did not get any fish. We asked for a price check on a dog toy. The cashier was nice, but she needed a manager, and the manager came off rude. So I will not be going to that location ever again.

    Staff was not friendly at all. If I hadn't needed the pet supplies and had time to go to another shop, I most likely would have. The 2 women working were to busy talking to each other to even acknowledge me as one started ringing up my purchase. When the second woman walked off, the one ringing up my purchase then began speaking to me. I also had to ask her about my vital care rewards as she obviously just wanted me out of her hair. Over all, the store has a good assortment of pet supplies. I was just disappointed in the service on May 2023 visit.

    What can I say about this store. Well let's start off by saying it's absolutely amazing. This location is clean, the staff is always willing to help out in any way they can. They carry a great selection of food , toys and animals etc. And most importantly never had any issues with returning things or sick pets . I got to give it to the managers a big thumbs 👍 for keeping this store up to speed but got to give it 2 thumbs up to the staff who keep the place running. You can bring your pet in for fun to. This place is great to bring your kids, friends, and family and I highly recommend this location to anyone. Thanks Petco keep up the good work.

    Consistently helpful locating items, have utilized puppy training with great success. Always cheerful checkouts with very little wait. I go at least twice a month and always a good experience. The only downside is generally cluttered with stock in aisles.

    Best place to get mice for my boa i tried pet smart but they refused to sell me live mice if I was gonna feed my snake but petco not only gives you live feed for your carnivores they answer every question to the best of their ability and they make sure you get the best mouse to keep your snake happy and healthy my snake was depressed and stopped eating the dead pinkys and pet smart basically said sorry not gonna let you help your snake but petco said how old and how big and picked out the perfect mouse for my slinky and now slinky is so happy she gets to hunt and comes out from hiding and is alot happier and you can tell petco took care of my baby girl

    They had a promotion for free same-day shipping so I ordered my dog some food and some other items only to find out when I got home that the dog food was not delivered because they were out of stock. I did not get any notification that the dog food would not be delivered other than an email saying it was canceled. Now I need to go pick up some dog food from a local store. Why not a phone call or text alerting me that the dog food was out of stock?

    The dog trainer at this location, Emma is really good and knowledgeable. She has been a positive influence on my 4 month old GSD Caesar. She evaluates the dog correctly and advises how to correct any negative behavior.

    Went to get a couple fish and was instantly met with an employee on a power trip over the beta fish. Actually refused to sell me a fish unless I had a 10+ running water tank. Apparently my 30 gallon tank wasn’t good enough but the one cup of water they keep them in is. Absolutely ridiculous and such a horrible experience, will not return

    We can’t say enough good things about our experience with grooming our three dachshunds at Petco. We feel comfortable leaving our girls in their hands. We really appreciate the level of professionalism that we receive from Jimmy and the rest of the staff there.

    Our go to location for super worms for our bearded dragon. Usually very good. One batch was not great, but that allowed us to exchange them. Friendly staff and good selection.

    Great customer service. But when I ask for advice for my dog they only give advice relating to their dog, which does not help at all and are not comparable. They lack knowledge of most products they sell. I have been recommended products that would be dangerous for my cats to use. I have been recommended harness for pit bulls and my dog is beagle size🙄. I have made myself very clear on my dogs size and needs and they just do not seem to get it.
