VERY POOR imitation of Casa Lola! I’ve lived near Plaza Uncibay for nearly 4 years and have eaten at all the restaurants. This one just opened with a shockingly similar look and feel to Casa Lola. However, its a sad copy. Service wasn’t bad but the food is an absolute “timo” (Spanish for swindle). Everything we ate tasted like it was straight from a bottle or the freezer. The croquetas weren’t bad but definitely not made by them. The tortilla de patatas was without a doubt not freshly made and the rabo de toro had barely any meat and the sauce was way too sweet. The hot dog could have been good because the bread and flavor weren’t bad but they put barely any meat as well. A few tiny circles of sausage and thats it. The porra (salmorejo) was the worst I’ve had - definitely straight out of a bottle. Looks good at first but taste is way off. Ensaladilla Rusa - again, not freshly prepared. No flavor and poor texture. Overall, wouldn’t go back. Not going to pay restaurant prices for food I can buy at Mercadona. Not a bad spot to have a drink but go have food somewhere else (Casa Lola is next door). Edit: the owners have since responded making no attempt to stand by the quality of their food. They’re claiming that my review sounds like an ad. I can assure any readers that I have no connection to Casa Lola and am simply a Malaga resident giving my opinion. However, that said, the owners of La Tasquita must share my positive sentiments about Casa Lola to have opened a copy cat right next door 😆

This place is a breath of fresh air in the historic center! The food was delicious! The ensaladilla rusa and the buñuelos de bacalao were outstanding! Service was a tad slow, but given that the place was at full capacity and only been open for a week, we didn't mind. Nahuel, the manager, is a credit to the establishment. He is constantly moving thru the restaurant to ensure that everyone is well served. Nahuel, regresaremos! También hemos hecho planes para visitar el del puerto...

Food was disappointing. Service was disappointing as well - waiters were quite unpleasant.

"I cannot recommend this place if you want to be comfortable or receive fast service. The chairs are uncomfortable, the service is extremely slow, we had to wait for 20 minutes just to order drinks. I ordered nachos, and they were cold and poorly made, possibly the worst I've ever had in Malaga. They 'invited' us for some shots to make up for the poor service, but in the end, they included those drinks on the bill. -2 from me."

The staff were fantastic, drinks/cocktails were amazing but the food was absolutely awful, reheated patatas bravas among other dishes, really the food was awful to the point that being so reheated it stuck and was burnt to the plate! We did give them the opportunity to give us their opinions on the reheated food, but the best explanation we received was it wasn’t reheated in a microwave oven but reheated in a more complex oven😫 First impressions were great, but the food was extremely disappointing.

First time trying out this new place for dinner in Malaga. So much choice. Great prices! It’s about the tapas! Photos and video done at the end before closing. The Serrano ham croquettes were so, so good. Excellent food and service from waiter Kylyan. I will return. Thank you!

Managed to get a seat just before peak times. Had a range of dishes- can highly recommend the squid croquettes and the hummus. Ham and cheese portions were very generous
