What an excellent find. We asked the tourism office for recommendations where locals would go and very quietly (he did not want to appear to favour any one restaurant), he gave us a few suggestions with El Nino being his favourite. We had the very reasonable 9Euro lunch with appetizer (bread soup or tomato salad), a main dish and a simple dessert. With a cold beer on a hot day, it was perfect. The pictures speak for themselves. BTW, it's on the outskirts of town and a bit hard to find but worth it.

Love this place. Proper Andasian character with proper Andalucian characters. Not many places like this anymore. Shows how keeping a bar / restaurant in the old style can be good and successful

We were a party of 6, we were served by Angel who was lovely, food was delicious and service was excellent, well with the walk, thank you, we will be back.

Our new favourite in Mijas since our old favourite closed down during Covid. Great little bar with a nice upstairs seating and view. The view is not as good as the ones in centre of Mijas but the food is great. Simple, honest local cooking. Service is attentive yet very "Spanish". Great atmosphere if you prefer local bars. Been here twice and never disappointed.

This is a lovely bar and restaurant. The staff, (mainly from one family) were friendly and helpful. We had a great night here. The food coming out of the kitchen all looked lovely.

A local lovely place with nice friendly staffs. I brought two friends here for some coffees and all of them want to come back here again. It's also a good place to have dinner with family and friends. There could be a struggle in finding place to park the car on the busy night. Make sure you plan the trip ahead and check up before coming in.

Cracking little Spanish Bar. Great Staff, Great Food & Drink, Great Prices and most importantly a Great Atmosphere. Very popular at the weekends, even at this time of the year, so it can get very busy and take a bit of time to be served but it's worth it regardless

Friendly place used by many locals. Nice spot to catch your breath and have a cool drink after walking about in the sun. Recommend the burgers 🍔 too!

A proper Spanish bar always full inside and outside. Very popular with cyclists, walkers, tourists and locals. We were made to feel welcome instantly that why we will keep going back 10/10 👏👏👌👍🏻😎

Lovely little place, disappointed that the owner decided to overcharge me for a beer, when he saw I was a miiddle aged woman on my own, from UK, Shame because I would have stayed longer, eaten and recommended, had he not been so dismissive

Great place. Pizza was outstanding and the gluten free crust for my wife was also amazing. Highly recommended.

We loved this place! We stayed in an apartment for 4 weeks just around the corner & visited a few times. A REAL Spanish taverna with lots of locals. We got a warm welcome, especially by the 2 young ladies, the food was good, drinks were cheap & tapas was free with each drink....what more could you want!

We walk up the hill admiring the view as we go. To be greeted at the top with an ice cold beer and large glass of vino tinto. Simply the best!

Lovely place to have a few drinks and food. All the staff are very inviting and friendly. They adapt meal to suit when dinning with fussy eaters.

A locals bar on the edge of the town as traditional ly Spanish as you can get. We have been here many times very friendly staff it's quite a small place however it does have a small dining area upstairs. The drinks price's are very good.

We had a great breakfast, nice service.

The menu was mistranslated,the staff is incredibly rude,the food was bland,the potatoes were raw and we didnt even get everything we ordered. Horrible experience.
