The on charcoal grilled seabass tasted excellent. The cook sure knows how to grill a fish. The appetizer with shrimp and garlic was also very tasty, be sure to get some bread to dip in the garlic oil!

It’s definitely a nice surprise on our way from Lisbon to Faro. We were very lucky to have a table without reservation. And the waiters there were very friendly and helpful. The food was quite fresh and tasty 😋 Easy to find there via google map, and parking along the other side of the street is free of charge. Absolutely worth to visit there💯

Exquisite!! Everything was delicious, from the appetizers (try the cheese) to the grilled fish (we had sardines and swordfish) to the side salads and the desserts. Everything is home made. And the service is amazing everyone was so nice!! A must try!

We are Portuguese from Lisbon. Be ware: this is THE place to have a fish meal. They're a family connect to the fishing business and they know how all about it. A little advice. Start early. Go to the grill area and chose your fish!!!. Hey.... At the end, remind them to give you the "ginginha". It's a sweet and soft moonshine that they prepare with lemon an cinamon!!!! Montijo, we love it.

Great place with a nice atmosphere. The staff were very attentive even though it was a busy day. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Absolutely worth the reputation of best restaurant in Montijo. The grilled fish is incredible and even the house dessert (doce da casa) is to die for. As for the staff, you couldn’t be in better hands. Special shoutout to Gonçalo for being an amazing host.
