Shamshi Talab is located in main Mehrauli Bazar near famous Jahaz Mahal. Amazed to see pond of this size inside main Mehrauli but it is being maintained poorly. Pond has dirty water. It seems that no body is responsible for its maintenance. If pond is maintained properly, it has potential to become a tourist hub. Mehrauli is historical important; its heritage must be preserved, that is the need of the hour.

It's my mistake to visit that place. Totally time waste

Hauz means kund of collected water. Water here is not clean and also not deep. It's in front of jahaj mahal.

Water not clean. One can only imagine how the scene was during its peak era..

Its a small pond enclosed within a locality. Old historic buildings are scattered around the place. Not properly maintained.

A shame it's so dirty and closed off this would make a beautiful addition to merhauli with some up keep

Nothing much to see a pond with almost dirty water.

In mehrauli this is one of the best spot for picnic if delhi nagar nigam is take action for cleaning gardening & maintain the samshi talab pond if they’re leave this place as it is so there’s only a time waste for visitors.
