This temple is quiet nearby to the sangam area. Not a huge temple but properly maintained. It still needs maintenance for sure. It was in the late afternoon we got to visit. It wasn't much crowded for sure. The darshan was really good as there wasn't anyone. It was really nice to visit this temple as it gave the spiritual vibes. And we had some time to sit and pray peacefully. The best thing about this temple is that you will not find any deity of the goddess here as it hasn't got any form...

A very devotional place. The location is good and easily reachable. Parking is also available. This temple is peculiar in that there is no statue of any deity in this temple, rather, there is a wooden carriage or 'doli' which is worshipped. The origin of the name, Alopi (disappeared) Bagh lies in the Hindu belief that after the death of his wife Sati, the grieving Shiva travelled through skies with her dead body. Vishnu, to relieve him from this agony, threw his Chakra at the corpse, resulting in the fall of various parts of the body at various places in India, which were sanctified by the touch of the Goddess' body parts and hence were thereby deemed holy places for pilgrimage. The last part fell at this location thereby named as "Alopi" (where disappearance was concluded)and the holiest of all. However, this claim is debatable since there is only one Shakti peeth in Prayagraj which is Lalita Devi temple where fingers of Sati are supposed to have fallen

Very nice place... Peaceful environment here... Cleanliness is well maintained... Alopi Devi Mandir is a temple situated in Alopibagh in Prayagraj in state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is near to the holy Sangam, or confluence, where the rivers Ganges, Yamuna and the legendary Sarasvati meet. Kumbh Mela is near to this place. This temple is peculiar in that there is no statue of any deity in this temple, rather, there is a wooden carriage or 'doli' which is worshipped... Alopi Devi continues to be worshiped by thousands of people living in the region who share every festival, marriage, birth and death with their guarding deity.... Thank You ❤️😊❤️❤️❤️😊

Divine Absolutely mesmerizing temple. Outside parking is a chaos. Timings are post 6pm. Maintenance of the temple feels lacking. So much potential to make it one of the highlights of Prayagraj.

One of the astadasa sakthi peeth, Prayage madhaveswari. As name on board is different, people get confused. There are other two mata temples in Prayagraj, but this is the one of sakthi peeth. Very near to river. Very pleasant in the temple. We can see Mata in the credle and not in statue form. Nice visiting.

In this place Goddess Sati's fingers fall and here whosoever makes a wish, his/her wish comes true. After marriage, newly married couples come here to take the blessings of Goddess Sati. This temple of Goddess Sati is situated at the banks of the Sangam river.

This Shakthi Peeth is situated on the banks of Sangamam. Only one temple in the world where NO statue is available and worshipped. Only one woodden child cradle is hanged and that is worshipped. There is a water tank underneath the cradle from where the water is taken and given as PRASATH. It is believed that Lord shivji was in search of his wife SATI. But Lord Vishnu using his CHAKRA cut the body of SATI , which fallen every where in the world. The last part of FINGERs supposed to be here, and worshipped.

Alopi devi temple is very famous across the region. This is very encient temple. Here any type of goddess sculpture is not present. According to pujari available here, the goddess is invisible. Visiting this temple gives the worshipper the space to put himself in the hands of God, at his disposition, and listen to the voice in his heart. The peace and calm of the temple help you forget the distractions of daily life. The positive aura in the air compels one to surrender himself in the gentle caress of the Almighty.

It is one of the 51 Shakthi Peetas. It is the place where the right palm/fingers fell and disappeared. Because of the disappearnce, it is called "Alopi" (meaning disappear) sakthi peeta. Here the Goddess is called "Maa Madhaveswari". There is no idol in this temple. A cradle suspended from the ceiling is worshipped. It is a small, ordinary temple. It is fairly clean. Less noise. Devotees can visit the sanctum of the temple one after another in a line without pushing and jostling. Within the temple compound there are many shops selling flowers, pooja items and glass bangles.

    (Translated by Google) This is a wonderful temple of Maa Alop Shankari because there is no idol of Goddess here but her form has been given the form of a swinging doli and she is worshiped. It is believed that when Shankar ji was traveling in the sky with the body of his wife Mata Sati ji, then his limb that fell here was lost (invisible). Since then he has been worshiped here and this place is known as Alopshankari.

According to the Puranas, the right hand claw of Mother Sati fell into a pool and disappeared. Hence, this temple is considered to be one of the major Shaktipeeths of Maa Shakti. The temple is named after the goddess Alopashankari.

Place is good. Not much crowd when I went. I spent like 2 hours there sitting under the tree. Guides keep explaining the painting of Shiva and Parvati on wall, shoes and chappal are easily lost- give 10/- or buy something from that phoolwala. You can’t touch the swing of Murthi, newly wedded couples are more often seen. I would prefer to go and pray instead of offerings like saree and basket of flowers.

Always favourite place to visit. A famous pilgrimage destination in Prayagraj. Devi idol is not there. It is a Shaktipeeth where devi organ fell and disappeared. Devi is worshipped in the form of Swing, Jhula.

The Alopi Sankari Devi Shakti Peeth temple in Prayagraj is a beautiful and serene place to visit. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Sankari, who is believed to grant wishes to her devotees. The temple complex is well-maintained and peaceful, with lush greenery surrounding the main shrine. The architecture of the temple is stunning, with intricate carvings and designs on the walls and pillars. The temple also houses a small museum that displays artifacts related to the history and mythology of the temple. Overall, it's a must-visit place for anyone interested in Hindu mythology and spirituality.

It is one of the शक्ति पीठ (Shakti Peeth) temples. The peaceful ambiance of the temple allowed me to reconnect and re-energize with the presence of the divine. Accessibility to the temple is quite convenient, whether you choose to travel by public transport or cab. If you're seeking a tranquil space to rejuvenate your spirit and connect with the divine, this temple is a wonderful choice.

Temple is in Alopi Bagh area on the way to Sangam or bade hanumanji temple. Although I visited the temple last week early morning , but I did not find any rush/ crowd in the temple. Pujari told that mandir is crowded during navratra. In the Main Temple of devi there is a cradle only, no idol of devi. All devotee touch the cradle and feel blessed. While doing the prikrama shiv temple, hanmanji idol and nav durga idol can be seen in temple premises. Nice place and different kind of temple. Must see.

One of shaktipeeth, alopi Devi temple is a must visit for a religious person as goddess present here in "nirakarroop", means no visible status of goddess can be seen here. So if you plan to visit Prayag Raj than you must visit this temple, try to avoid timing between 6:30 to 7:30 PM, as temple remain shut down for changeover.
