This place is Best for growing up kids to develop a Astronomical Interest in them,Not too costly only 60₹ for an hour for adults and free of cost for childrens below height 3ft, I would not disclose the fun inside the planetarium but its worth every penny for an hour, its closed on Monday and for other days starts at 10 am for every hour, There is Anand bhawan Museum adjacent to it for which charges are 20₹ for ground floor and 70₹ for both floors.

Besides, the complex houses several scientific models for fun kid activities. shown are held on our solar system and a brief is made on our chandrayan project a nice experience which no one will forget. photographs and artefacts much more interactive and interesting. please do not try to take pics as it disturbs other spectators. We also found a model of astronaut in the gallery. People were getting their photographed clicked by standing behind the figure and peeping through the transparent face mask. Since everyone having a camera availed this opportunity. Whatever! It was a nice, pleasant and educational experience and we liked it thoroughly.

It was great trip for me to go there and having a look at PSLV and collecting knowledge for our celestial bodies and seeing an astronaut statue, literally it was all full of fun for me and the most interesting thing was THE PLANETARIUM (TARA MANDAL) from which i learnt a lot and got a new way of thinking about stars, sun and the moon.

This is beautiful place that is totally relates to our first PM PT Jawaharlal Nehru. There are also a bhawan with good gardening, and a public bookshop with a lot of collection of good books, and a Taramandal(star world) at there is having a good hall with that.. So totally you can come here with your family, friends.. It's not so much costly it's just having a ticket of near about 20rs per person (for Indian), And near about a 100rs ticket (for foreigners). For Taramandal, it takes charge in extra near about 50rs per person.. Thankyou.. Hope you will enjoy there.. I think you should visit atleast one time to see the beauty and value of this place..

I visited the Planetarium on 30 Dec 2023. While the outside fassad & cleanliness are well kept, the main focus area ie the Planetarium movie is dull. The images shown in movie are far from clarity and Pale. It seems Jawahar trustees have not visited the facility from long time or they no more have interest in maintaining it. The facts shown in movie require an update as the movie is vintage. Commentary is good but again not updated. Overall a beautiful facility but now in drain.

This planetarium is just ok for local public, but definately avoidable for tourists arriving from metropolitan cities. All shows are in Hindi only (no English shows). We experienced power cuts twice during the show.
