Ancient temple on the banks of the Ganges. Just half a kilometre before the Ganga+Yamuna+Saraswati Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj ! 🙂 Akhand Ganga in front of the temple - the other shore is more than a kilometre away ! A very powerful temple for those with Rahu-Kethu dosha / Naga Dosha. So many dosha nivaran poojas are done throughout the day here. The temple can be reached only after climbing 30-40 steps : People who come with senior citizens / toddlers should plan accordingly. The view of the Ganges from the temple is amazing !

An old temple dedicated to nag devta nagvasuki. It is facing ganga river with a great view. The temple holds history and sanic views. Easy drive to the place and connected with wide road. 👌 you may miss shops around but it keeps the place clean. If you are in prayagraj, it is one of the must go in case of a bit of religious person.

Tranquil Beautiful Lord Shiva temple with peacefull surrounding. It's belived that after taking bath in the holy Ganges if one prays over here he or she is free of any kaal sarp dosh. There is a road leading from inside the colony but now the road leading from sangam station is like the Marine drive of Prayagraj. However still feel it's needs to be developed more. Didn't find any securtiy outside temple with notorius people roaming around. Paan tobacco available just downside the temple. Such a shame.

An ancient temple associated with churning of the Milky Ocean, with Mandhara Hill as a churning pillar around which Vasuki the noblest snake was tied; and on one side Dythyas and on the other side Adithyas pulled the mountain based on Vishnu as Koormavatara. No other snake could have withstood the strain other than Nagavasuki until Amrutham was released.

NAAGVASUKI is a hidden gem that I stumbled upon in the heart of the city. This tranquil oasis offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The well-maintained pathways, lush greenery, and the gentle sound of water create a soothing ambiance that instantly transports you to a world of calm.

There is this very famous story about this NAAG VASUKI temple. It’s is believed that your Ganga snan during the time or kumbh or in general is considered to be incomplete unless you visit this temple after the holy bath(Ganga snan). No next time whenever you visit to prayagraj, make sure to visit this temple to make your snan and journey to kumbh hand kumbh Nagari complete. 🙌🏻❤️

The place is beautiful and breezy because there is a ghat in front of nagvasuki mandir , in rainy seasons it's a good attraction. I love going there , watching sunsets. One problem there is not food stalls.

The Nagvasuki temple is located on the banks of the Ganges at the northern end of the Daraganj locality. Nagvasuki Dev is worshiped in this temple and his stone idol is placed in the centre of the temple. Nagvasuki has also been called Sheshraj, Sarpanath, Anant and Sarvadhyaksha. The glory of this temple can only be gauged from the fact that the journey of every devotee and pilgrim to Prayagraj is not complete until he or she sees Lord Nagvasuki. Lakhs of pilgrims visit the temple on the day of Kumbh, Ardh Kumbh, Magh Mela and Nagpanchami. The description of this temple also appears in the Puranas. The Bhogavati shrine is believed to be inhabited with Nagavasuki. The Nagvasuki temple is considered to be the Bhogavati shrine on the west side of the Ganges towards the east. When the Ganges floods during the rainy days, its water reaches the stairs of the Nagvasuki temple.

One word- शांतिपूर्ण Peaceful The temple is neat and clean situated on the bank of river and it is very peaceful. But i think it's not safe for girls at night because no civilians/police are present there at night.

According to ancient Hindu scriptures and the Bhagavata Purana, snakes have always been worshipped by the Hindus in various forms. The Vasuki Nag was a part of the life of Lord Krishna, a Hindu god. According to legends, he stole Krishna’s ball while he and his friends were playing. Krishna later dived into the river where the Vasuki Nag lived to find the ball. After an intense battle, Krishna emerged victorious on top of the five-headed snake’s crown. The Nagvasuki temple is devoted to the Vasuki Nag. The idol is worshipped by devotees from around the country. The temple also hosts several elaborate rituals throughout the year, making it a place for pomp and celebration at times. The architecture is a traditional north Indian style with a dominating shikhara colored in yellow and orange — every year on Nag Panchami, devotees flock here to worship snakes. The temple also offers unparalleled views of the Ganges River.
