It is one of busiest and oldest market places in the city of Prayagraj. This place is located in the heart of the city and is frequently visited by local shopkeepers and retailers. After talking to few local merchants here, I came to know that many retailers from the suburban towns also come to this market for buying bulk goods.... During Wedding season, it is fully packed with people. However, during covid days this market was also devoid of buyers and local merchants had to incur big loss. Almost all sort of goods be it house hold goods, home decore items or kirana items. Almost all the stuffs are available here.

in our Childhood, we purchased Batasha in exchanging sugar with some rupees. This place and road is one of the most crowded and historical place in Allahabad. This road is also popular for Dusshera Mela and Chak Jhula in Muharram. Anyone can feel the true Hindu-Muslim brotherhoods here.
