Very nicely maintained park. Entrance fee for the park is only Rs. 5/-. Synthetic jogging track is well maintained. Playground is there for kids upto 10 years of age. Fine of Rs. 500/- is charged if adults use the swings. Inside the park, museum is there. The museum is very well maintained. Entry fee for the museum is Rs. 50/- for Indian adults, for children from 5 to 12 years it is Rs. 5/-. And for children upto age of 5/- does not have any fee. It can take upto a day if the museum is properly visited. Food court is inside the museum, just after entrance.

(Translated by Google) History of allahabad Reference or source is not given in this article. The history of Prayag is very ancient. It seems like there were many yagyadis in ancient times on the banks of river Saraswati, in the same way, they also happened at the confluence of Ganga-Yamuna. That's why 'Prayag' got its name. This shrine is famous since very ancient times and the water here used to be anointed by the ancient kings. This thing is mentioned in Valmiki Ramayana. On his way to the forest, Shri Ram went to Prayag in the ashram of Bharadwaj Rishi. Prayag was under Kosala kingdom for a long time. There were many monasteries and viharas of Buddhists here during the time of Ashoka etc. Buddhist kings. Ashoka's pillar still stands within the fort, which has the praise of Samudragupta. A Chinese traveler named Fahian came in 716 AD. At that time Prayag used to be in Kosala state. Across Prayag, there was a famous fortress called Pratishthan, which Samudragupta had greatly fortified. Akshayavat of Prayag has been famous since ancient times. The Chinese traveler Huensang arrived in India in the seventh century BCE. He saw Akshayavat. Even today lakhs of travelers come to Prayag to see this vat which is believed from the beginning of the universe. In the present form, which is found in the Puranas, Matsyapuran is considered very ancient and authentic. From 102 chapter to 108 chapter of this Purana, the significance of this pilgrimage is described. It states that Prayag is the region of Prajapati where the Ganges and Yamuna flow. Sixty thousands of heroes protect Ganga and Surya Jamuna himself. The vat here is protected by prongs themselves. There are five pools through which Jahnavi flows. In the month of Magh, all pilgrims come and live here. This results in a lot of pilgrimage in that month. Those who immerse the body by fire at the confluence, reside in the heaven world as many thousand years as they have in Rome. The thing to note in the above description of Matsya Purana is that there is no mention of Saraswati in it, which has been mixed by people in the confusion of 'Triveni' from behind. In fact, the Triveni is formed by the currents coming from two sides of the Ganges and the Jamuna and the convergent current of both. History Ancient times The city was originally known as 'Prayag' (place of confluence), a name that is still frequently used. The Iron Age of Northern Black Polished Ware is known from excavation in Allahabad. It is also an ancient city (in the most ancient Hindu sacred texts), many references are made to Prayag. It is believed to be the place where Brahma (the creator of the universe) participated in a sacrificial ritual. Currently showing archaeological sites such as Kaushambi (ancient city) and near Jhusi, iron tools dating back to 1800тАУ1200 BCE. Which is in the Allahabad region. When the Aryans first settled in the northwestern part of India, Prayag was part of their territory however, it was not settled and most of the Doab at that time consisted of dense forests. The center of action at that time was in Punjab, where the Vedas were written. The Rig Veda, written during that time, makes special mention of Prayag as a sacred place. Vatsa or, the dynasty is called a branch of Kuru. Kuru ruled the Doab and Kurukshetra regions from Hastinapur (near present-day Delhi). Later in the Vedic period, when Hastinapur was destroyed by the floods, the Kuru king Nichakshu shifted his entire capital with his citizens to a place next to [Prayag], which he called Kaushambi (ancient city) (from Allahabad) 56 km away named after the village Kosam). The Vatsa or Vamsa country is associated with the area of тАЛтАЛmodern Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. Kaushambi (ancient city) had a monarchical form of government with its capital, which is now part of the Allahabad division. Udayin was the ruler of Vatsa in 6th BCE (Buddha's time), he was very powerful, warrior and fond of hunting. Initially King Udayin was opposed to Buddhism but later became a follower of Buddha and made Buddhism the state religion. . After the Vedic period, the center of activity was shifted from Punjab to the Doab as Aryavarta, increasing the importance of both Kaushambi (ancient city) and Prayag. Indeed, Prayag became the center of the rise of Vedic culture and modern Hinduism, as (Original) рдЗрд▓рд╛рд╣рд╛рдмрд╛рдж рдХрд╛ рдЗрддрд┐рд╣рд╛рд╕ рдЗрд╕ рд▓реЗрдЦ It's main square in Civil lines of Allahabad. Two roads cross here one is Mahatma Gandhi Marg( M.G. Marg) and other is S.P Marg. All major shops are found along these roads. The square has statue of Subhash Chandra Bose , freedom fighter of India, the square or chauraha is dedicated to him. Some times this place is meeting point and sometimes it is place of protest too.

Salute to Netaji. A tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. This place is like most popular place in civil lines. Indira Bhawan is nearby and PVR and other multiplexes are also close it. Many showrooms and good places are nearby.

It is the prime location of our Prayagraj . Heart of the city and all the luxurious shops are present there .. You will find everything from a needle to sword there and it has many shopping malls and complexes for entertainment. Only problem over there is the traffic jam that has to be faced by the people everyday

From what I can remember, there were shoe shops, hosiery store, reliance trends, juice shop, an ice cream stall and benches around it. This chauraha has many markets spread in all four directions. It's a popular landmark, there were many e-rickshaws there, so it's easy to commute from there or to reach there.

Subhash Chauraha is a major icon of the ancient and important city of Allahabad. This huge four lane crossing existed since the pre-independance colonial era when Allahabad was the capital city of the United Provinces of Oudh and Agra (current day UP). In 1994, the government of Uttar Pradesh renamed it after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and installed a big statue of him to mark their respect for the great leader of India. This crossing the main Landmark of Civil Lines, which is the most happening place and shoppers paradise. The city is now renamed to Prayagraj. During the Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate 75 years of Indian independence, Subhash Chauraha and Netaji's statue was decorated using the Indian tricolor and bright lights. This crossing is a prominent Landmark that contains the beautiful and glorious history of Allahabad (aka Prayagraj) in itself.
