Bade Hanuman or Lying Hanuman temple is situated at the Sangam entrance area. A huge statue of Lord Hanuman lying down is situated in the temple. we heard about 700 years old, It is believed that after the dip in Sangam it is a must visit for seeking the blessings of Bade Hanuman ji. there are lots of tales related to the mandir, dating back to Mughal rule of Aurangzeb, who tried to remove the idol but failed and finally left eh place as it is.

If you come to sangam ...then many chances are you also come here this Hanuman ji temple placed near Akbar kila...this hunuman is interesting and different from all hanuman temple in the world... actually here Hanuman statue is in sleeping form and this form of Hanuman statue is only one and you can't see anywhere except here...also the story of this form of statue is interesting tooo.. This place is hard to find because there are too many hanuman mandir in this area. Beware of beggars who threat you with snakes. But snakes are not dangerous. Very nice place, walking distance from the sangam ghat. Plenty of parking spot available if you are not visiting in any festival. And you are allowed to take pictures inside temple.

Quite a beautiful and mesmerizing place to visit.... sweets offered were very delicious.... temple had a big hall for praying.... which could accommodate around 200 people in one go... peaceful and auspicious environment..

It's crowded on Saturday and tuesday but it's a good place to worship Lord hanuman here... The spiritual vibe here hits different... It's said by people that ganga maa itself comes to visit Lord hanuman during rainy season... The Lord hanuman here are also famous as "lete hue hanuman ji".. It's located near sangam and it's worth visiting
