Park is huge. And there are many things which attracts you, specially when you visit here for the first time. Many couples and students comes here. Thing which I didn't like is that place too dirty. People throw plastics and packets of biscuits and wafers, here and there. And there is a fountain (which is doesn't works), near that fountain, algae completely covered water

An very old park with very rich history. It's the place where the document stating transfer of power from East India company to crown of England was read among kings and officials of India in 1858.(Magna Carta, likh lo upsc me aayega ye). It is relatively small, less crowded and more pleasent than other parks . Good place for kids and couples too. It was redeveloped by Pandit madan Mohan malviya so it is also known as madan Mohan malviya park

I visited this park on akshay navami for having lunch with family under amla tree. Its a nice park, clean and is under foresf department. You need to buy ticket for entering into park. There is a play ground specifically for kids, its not well maintained but still kind of okay. There are lot of fruit trees as well. But avoid breaking them and dont throw stones on trees. Go with family spend some quality time and have fun.

A delight for every nature lover, Mintor Park in Prayagraj is located on the bank of Yamuna River. Also known as Madan Mohan Malviya Park, this must-see attraction is named after Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya - a renowned educationist and politician who is also known for his contribution towards IndiaтАЩs freedom struggle. The name тАШMinto ParkтАЩ is named after Earl of Minto who constructed a memorial with a four-lion symbol in 1990. This symbol is one of the key attraction of this popular tourist place in Prayagraj.

Minto Park is a lush green park which was formerly known as Madan Mohan Malviya Park. The┬аfour lion sculptures in white stone, established by the Earl of Minto in 1910 is a highlight here. Although a relatively much smaller park, it hosts lush greenery alongside seating┬аfacilities. There are also a┬аfew┬аtea shops in the park vicinity. Minto Park is the very place where India was declared as a shifted colony┬аfrom the East India Company to the British. It was Earl Canning who recited┬аQueen Victoria's Proclamation on this matter in 1858.

(Translated by Google) A good place to walk. The cleanliness is also fine but the old stuff needs to be repaired although it is a fairly historic site where the British Proclamation of British Living in 1858 was read. However, it is named after Lord Merle Minto. An Ashoka pillar is built in its central part. Which is quite beautiful, the place where the proclamation was read. It also has the facility of police to stay inside and is a good place for yoga. This meditation can also be done. Can also go with the couple. It is free from 6 AM to 10 AM and remains free for one hour in the evening. Minto Park occupies a significant place in the history of British India. In 1858, on this very ground, Lord Canning made a historic proclamation, signifying the formal transfer of authority from The East India Company to the British Government. This pivotal moment followed the Sepoy Mutiny, a consequence of the Company's corruption, which transformed India from an 'Economic Interest Zone' into a 'Colony.' In 1910, the park's foundation stone was laid by the Earl of Minto, who was the Governor-General of India at the time, commemorating the transition that had occurred 52 years earlier at the same location. Consequently, the park was officially named 'Minto Park.' At the heart of Minto Park stands a remarkable white marble column crowned by four steadfast stone lions. This imposing structure, installed by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, serves as a precise marker of the historical spot where India's control shifted from the East India Company to the British Government. Minto Park and its commemorative monument hold immense allure for historians, researchers, and casual explorers alike. Following independence, Madan Mohan Malviya made numerous enhancements to the park, leading to its renaming in his honor as Madan Mohan Malviya Park. A visit to Minto Park is an essential experience for anyone in Prayagraj, offering a profound connection to the pages of history.

(Translated by Google) This white stone memorial park in Allahabad has traces of four lions on the highest peak near Saraswati Ghat. It was founded in 1910 by Lord Minto. On 1 November 1858, Lord Canning read the popular manifesto of Queen Victoria here and the royal court was imposed. Earlier, on 2 August 1858, Lord Stanley placed the Indian Act in the Parliament of Britain before the Parliament. Under this bill, power in India was transferred from the East India Company to the Queen of Britain. The major provisions of the Act of 1858 were - The proclamation promised to respect the rights of all Indian kings and prohibited the expansion of British territories in India. It promised to respect the ancient rights and traditions of the people and follow the policy of justice, harmony and religious tolerance. It was declared that every person, irrespective of caste and religion, would be entitled to get admission in administrative services only on the basis of their qualifications and education. In the declaration, on one side the kings were assured of security and on the other hand, the middle class also promised to provide opportunities for development. (Translated by Google) It is a place of historical importance. After the 1857 revolution, to prevent its duplication again and for the better system for Indians, the government was stripped of the East India Company, its manifesto was read. In 1858, at the Allahabad Durbar (Minto Park) this place was read by the then Governor General Lord Canning, the declaration of Queen Victoria of England and was taken away from the hands of the Government of India, East India Company and passed directly into the hands of the British Government. Since then the Viceroy's appointment as the representative of the British Government in India began in place of the Governor General. Lord Kennig was appointed the first Viceroy of India. It is currently named Madan Mohan Malaviya Park. The Ashoka Pillar is also established here, which is the emblem of independent India. The park is surrounded by trees and has a beautiful and peaceful place. Evening children come here for some time. There is also a small pool in which young children are driven by motor boats. Lounge with friends is an ideal place for fun, music etc.
