Recently, Indian Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi inaugurated the Virtual Experiential Museum (VEM) in Varanasi, established by the National Council of Science Museum (NCSM). The museum is set up inside the centrally protected monument observatory of Man Mahal and at this VEM, people will get see to the work of NCSM, wherein they have displayed several cultural aspects of the city of Varanasi by using latest virtual reality technology. It surely is going to be an extraordinary experience watching the holy ghats of Varanasi in VEM. Besides, at the VEM, tourists will also get to witness weaving of saris, classical museum, Ram Leela, and beetle shop, among others. Visitors will get to experience all these things with the help of a curved TV screen, paintings, and projectors, among others.

It is india's First Virtual Museum open in Varanasi . The museum has been established on the banks of the Ganges near Dashashwamedh ghat where visitors can get a virtual tour of the ancient city and its cultural and spiritual aspects. At the museum, the glimpse of cultural aspects of Varanasi can be experienced by visitors. They will also get the experience of holy ghats, classical music, weaving of sari, Ram leela, 3D view of monuments, narrow lanes and betel shops among other heritage of the city.
