Very historic place in Little Havana. Just to say you have seen it and learned a little of the history is an honor.

Domino Park in Little Havana, located on the iconic Calle 8, is an absolute must-visit in Miami. My recent experience here left me thoroughly impressed. As I dined at Old Havana, which is conveniently right next door, the sight of numerous people engrossed in lively domino games caught my attention. The open gate entrance invites you into a vibrant atmosphere where tables are filled with energetic activity and passionate players. It's not just a place to play dominoes but a cultural gem that draws tourists from all around. Many visitors, including myself, couldn't resist capturing the moment, taking photos, and recording the unique experience. I couldn't help but wonder what the players thought about having so many people come to witness their enjoyment. To them, I'd like to express my gratitude by saying, "Gracias por compartir su espacio con nosotros" (Thank you for sharing your space with us). Domino Park is a living testament to the rich cultural tapestry of Little Havana, and I encourage everyone to visit and appreciate this slice of Miami's heritage. I was delighted to find a coconut vendor right outside of the park. Without a doubt, I couldn't resist getting one for myself. It's the perfect refreshing treat to complement the vibrant atmosphere of Domino Park and Little Havana.

To truly immerse yourself in the rich Cuban culture that Miami is so famous for, a trip to Domino Park should top the list. Grab some delicious Cuban food nearby then soak in the music, dancing, and hand-rolled cigar smoke that makes Domino park so awesome.

Little Havana is an interesting place to visit. Domino Park is part of the cultural history here. Not a whole lot to see other than folks playing some dominoes or chess.

It's not just the Park, but the whole Calle 8, so vibrant, so colorful, so full of excitement. This is Little Havana at its best.

I LOVE the culture. The Domino park here in Little Havana was small, but the little strip is awesome with live music and lots of great food.

Quintessential to a visit to Little Havana. This chilly morning had two tables in full play. We watched for a bit in silence. It was peaceful. Good timing, as upon leaving, a double decker tour bus was unloading with a ton of people right in front of the park!

Very interesting place. Lots of people playing dominos and chess. Very lively atmosphere and the players take gaming seriously. It was fun to watch them play and hearing the way they talk to each other. Knowing Spanish is a plus as if you don’t, you might think that are mad at each other but it’s just the way the games are played. I even like the way some spectators chimed in with their 2¢. Hahahaha. Reminds me of when I played dominos in the past with friends and family.

Cool place to visit. You can be a member for free if you have a Miami local address and are over 55 years old. As a member, you can check out backgammon and chess sets from the office to play with. While the park is predominantly dominoes players, there are usually 3-4 tables of chess players as well. It is also a great place to practice your Spanish with the "speed talking" locals.

For those 55 and older, you can spot them waiting for the park to open in the morning. There are domino competitions that they prepare for, so it gets busy with the locals. It was an interesting stop along Calle Ocho because it provided a glimpse into the daily lives and cultural functions of residents in the area.

My father played dominoes in a league back in the day and he had hundreds of trophies. Watching them play here really brought back a lot of memories. Thank you so much for the conversations and memories.

Really cool place. All the golden oldies are smoking and playing dominos. I think the tourists must be such a disturbance and chess. They didn’t seem concerned through but just continued to play their chess and dominoes. Reminds me a bit of places in Greece and Turkey that has the same culture.

Wear your guaya and cubanito hat and be ready to throw some bones or just be a spectator and enjoy the fun. It almost looks like a movie set but is an authentic celebration of the culture.

A stop to make while passing by Calle 8 / 8 Street in Miami. Old Cubans are always there playing DOMINO simultaneously . And there are a variety of Cuban restaurants with Latin jazz or just across the street an ice cream shop with unique flavors.

A must see in your visit to Little Havana. Iconic park where the locals come to play dominoes, chess, and chatting in all types of accents. Lively and lovely place to appreciate the culture of this area.

It might be listed as a public park online, but that is not the case apparently. We went there to sit and kill an hour before we needed to take an Uber to the airport, and when we sat at the tables and my friend got out a deck of cards to occupy us while we killed an hour, we were soon harassed by some park attendant telling us that only members are allowed to play in the park. There were plenty of other tables that were open so even if this was some members only club we don’t see why it would be a problem unless members wanted to play and all the tables were full and we were taking up a table. The few other players playing in the park didn’t seem to mind us there - one of them even fetched a seat for one of us since we were just at a two persons table. If this was a members only club there’s no reason that they should do it in a public park - they can do that elsewhere where they won’t be “disturbed.” But if you’re in a public park, open tables are open tables. Overall, you’ll be harassed for just chilling in a public park, tourists will try taking video of you, and there isn’t really a whole lot of “park space.” Definitely skip this spot.

Awesome place for the complete cultural experience. Met some really interesting people here. They told me all about this history of area and how their families came to be part of this special area in Miami. Love the park and the Cuban vibe of the whole area. Very interesting place. Lots of people playing dominos and chess. The atmosphere is very animated and lively, especially since the players take the games seriously. Knowing Spanish really helps because if you don't know what they are saying, you might think they are angry or fighting! I like how the spectators chime in as well! I really enjoyed watching them play. They must know each other really well because the way they talked to each other made me feel like I was witnessing some real live friendly community quarrels. Watching the way they played reminded me of when I used to play dominos with my friends. Very noisy and lots of friendly banter! Note: Florida has a lot of travel restrictions because of the pandemic so make sure you check before you visit.

Masters of Dominos. Watch the players carefully. If you are a student of Dominos , you could learn a thing or two. Lovely setting with covered playing areas. Rich in history and tradition. Must see iconic location in the middle of Little Havana. Enjoy the sights and sounds and the ever present aroma of distant food and cigars.

Went on a Sunday morning and the older gentlemen were already playing Domino. It's an are with deep roots in Cuban Culture since the 1970's. The entire area was bustling and restaurants already open. Seen a few tourists enjoying the scenery and evidence on the ground that an actual horse was there right before I arrived. I highly recommend visiting the park if you want to experience Little Havana!

Nice little park if you want to play dominos, chess, or checkers. Too many tourists loitering around but the players seem to be able to tune them out. I would vote not letting people in unless they are going to play.
