Wow never expected to find this nature park in the middle of downtown. It's beautiful. Small but very relaxing. Has a few trails that lead to a nice clean pond. There's also a visitor center but unfortunately it was closed. Didn't see any wildlife other than the koi fish in the pond. But either way it's a nice place to take a walk and breathe in the fresh air from the tall trees.

Amazing 😉 nature park. So peaceful and relaxing 😎 not busy ever. The park is all shade. They close early so u want to get there before 4pm. They have restrooms 🚽 and staff always on site. There’s two entrances at this park. One ☝️ off the road and another in front of nature center.

I decided to visit this park because it was within walking distance down the street from my hotel in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami. It's a great natural oasis from the hustle and bustle of the urban sprawl. Yes, you can still hear jack hammers, car horns, and the Brickell station metrorail in the background, but this is a great place to relax, read a book next to the koi pond that's located in the park. Bring comfortable walking shoes, as there are tree roots, rocks, and uneven walking surfaces on the walking trail throughout the park. The park is gated and closes at 3pm.

Super awesome and informative forest park in the middle of the city. It’s a pretty quick walk all around it (about 15 minutes). I saw many lizards, spiders, birds and fish in the pond. I had a great experience.

Beautiful park, nice history that I did not know about Miami, and the most important the trees, smell nice like been in a jungle. I love it. I took my seniors class for a field trip, and they love it, specially the employees they are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great venue place for weddings. Great for walks and photography. Look out for 🕸 everywhere in the trees above. They have different species of bugs and 🐛, including banana spiders. Also has Koa pond with benches by the reception building.

Brickell’s best kept secret. The only park where you can be covered in trees, to filter out the city noise and find a moment of silence. Please don’t ever sell this property to build a high rise in its place. This park is our refuge. We hope you bring the operating hours back to your pre-pandemic times, to serve the working population who love to visit the park after a long day! 💚

Who would have thought that right on the outskirts of Brickell lies a small nature preserve? Hidden, but we'll posted signage make this a peaceful retreat to enjoy a bit of nature among all the concrete. Shell rock paths lead you through the thickly covered canopy, which makes it extremely cool regardless of the weather. Numerous picnic tables and benches to just chill or have a little picnic, especially by the koi pond. Over the years, I have personally witnessed baby raccoons, hawks, snakes, and even a pair of red foxes, which you can see if you watch closely on the videos attached. Clean, with well maintained park area. No dogs or bikes allowed. Best on the weekdays. Just stay silent, open your eyes and ears and you may be amazed what you find right in Brickell!

Relax, Meditate & Breathe in Pure and absolute peace and tranquility. If you want to get away from the hustle of the city, the traffic and stress be sure to stop by at the Simpson Park located in the heart of Miami. It is a natural preserve made of eight acres of tropical hardwood hammock, one of the last of its kind.

Beautiful enclosed park but the hours are horrible its less than working hours for normal people. To go there you need to have a day off from work.

Such a cool park in the middle of Brickell. Two pieces of advice: 1.) Wear bug spray 2.) Go on a cooler day, as the trees block out the breeze and it is kind of muggy and swampy in here.

I'll bump this up to 4 stars when they can keep the porta potties clean on a regular basis. Excellent beach for LONG walks. Go early or forget about parking. Bring shade on sunny days as there is none. Walk all the way towards to the bridge to access the nude beach.

Beautiful forest. For a place so obsessed with no one straying off the one route you’re allowed to walk on, you’d think they wouldn’t leave the back door open. Not the kind of park it’s advertised as. Doesn’t feel like I’m anywhere close to nature when there’s a sign every 4 feet reminding me not to actually step into it, which is a shame since the location was so convenient. Seems it’s managed less like a park and more like a museum.

The place was nice and we saw a fox,but it's so humid that I always had to use a hand fan. I also felt like I was suffocating.

Fresh air in the middle of the city! Great place to walk or relax. It closes at 3pm and it doesn't open on weekends.
