😠 Everything was in the water but fish and so Fat white guy across the Street from the park called the police on us.... He "the white guy" didn't want us there.... We won't be back because all we caught was a 30lb bag of dirty clothes, a reeling rod, and a branch the looked and smelled horrible. Hey m... People often mention park, water,

This park is full of colorful flowers. It adds a bright touch of nature at an urban intersection. Low metal fences protect the flowers. There are plenty of benches to sit on. We played cricket here. It was memorable time for all of us. Enjoyed a lot.

Sketchy lil park, with not a lot of actual manatees. Keep your head on a swivel and know that you are being sized up by the locals. This is a really tough place to recommend and not a particularly good spot for tourists.

Ok old school park with beautiful old growth trees. The water was incredibly dirty. Even if there were manatee's present you would not be able to see them through the polluted water.

Whenever the Bay ramps are too busy I launch my kayaks here. Can feel a little sketchy but overall a clean park.

Nice little place to sit and chill if you live in the neighborhood. Great spot to drop your kayak in and paddle toward the bay. Just be aware of the ramp, it's quite slippery and respect the neighborhood. Report injured or dead manatees 1-888-404-FWCC

, it's a nice quiet park to relax in. The only problem is a lot of people walk their dogs there, so you have to watch out for landmines :)

Cool spot right on the river with lots of bird life hanging around. I shot a health and fitness music video here. I look forward to taking a boat out on the river soon...always been a fantasy of mine! @chrysanthemgrooves @paradisepaws21 @chrysanthemexecutive

Heavily shaded park with a few benches. There is a water channel with some motor boats tied to the walls of the channel. Some free street parking is available.

Lots of trash/discarded shopping carts. Small park in an area where house less people hangout. We didn't see any manatees but I don't blame them. I picked up a couple handfuls of trash but didn't make a dent. Sooo glad we didn't go through with original plan of getting dropped off there to hangout.

Such a beautiful neighborhood park. True to it's name, you may very well see a manatee or two cruising down the canal right by your picnic! Lots of beautiful green space, never crowded, cute dogs everywhere, what more could you ask for from a public space? Props to the parks dept for this little jem.

I used to go with my dog and we loved it, but now it’s just trash everywhere and homeless people in tents. I won’t go back unfortunately

If you like litter and the smell of homeless people's urine then you'll love Manatee Bend Park.

Homeless camp, dirty park, dirty waterway, no wildlife sightings apart from an iguana perched on neighbouring rooftop. Area feels unwelcoming/unsafe; didn’t stay more than two minutes. Do not plan a visit here!

Not in the nicest area of town. No Manatees. No playground. Only outhouse for bathroom. Very small. Buggy.

Quiet little park. Lots of ducks and birds. Benches and tables.

Definitely a disappointment. The park seemed well maintained, there were ducks and some other aquatic birds that I'm not completely familiar with. It's a small grassy area next to the water with a few picnic tables. Looking downriver a few hundred feet a half sunk boat was on its side in the water. Directly across the way a bicycle wheel (still attached to the frame) stuck out of the water. Both items clearly have been in the water for some time. The building in direct view across the water is in disrepair and has piles of discarded furniture (not sure how the city addresses something like this) The park seems like an attempt to beautify the area, there was someone else there at a table reading or studying so it's getting usage, it just needs a little more help.

It was quiet but a little sketchy. Definitely not a place I would visit alone.
