Nice area. Plenty of beach and picnic tables and chairs. You can rent kayaks. Food truck with snacks and smoothies. Sand/ground Could be a little bit cleaner but not bad for a public beach. $8 per car.

The park needs cleaning and attention to the litter everywhere! It is an eye sore and diminishes beautiful spots along the way.

Nice beach, some pebbles when you step in, but then sandy. Many picnic tables near the beach. Lifeguard houses at south and north ends of the beach. North part of the beach is dedicated to windsurfing. I was there in the mid of working day and the place was empty, only one family was picnicking and few persons were windsurfing. Beware, there are raccoons in the area, watch your food. There are rest rooms. No restaurants, so bring your own food. Notable, any glass containers are strictly prohibited in the park

I've been to a lot of beaches, but this one is a little more special. It's usually not terribly crowded during the week (I have never been there on the weekends). I also would not try to be in that area when the kids get out of school. A lot of the parents park in the beach parking area waiting for their children. Aside from that, it's a great beach to visit. Beautiful white sand, blue water as far as the eye can see. You can walk quite a way out in the water before your head is submerged. There are a few food trucks that sell a variety of options (the trucks are loud, which sort of take away from the tranquility), regardless the beauty of the beach makes up for it and it is nice to have that option. It's a great place to go unwind for few hours. Keep in mind that there are no lifeguards there, so it's swim at your own risk.

Great beach to visit and relax. This beach is dog friendly and has a couple of food vendors (hotdogs, lemonades etc) you might like. Parking is close by. I go during the week as it’s much less crowded. Nice view of the Miami skyline

This place is the real dog park/Beach. I did try some others but my dog was not allowed on the beach. Here she sat on the beach with me.

Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, located off the Rickenbacker Causeway, is just minutes away from the Miami’s downtown financial centers, top tourist destinations, sport facilities, retail, dining and renowned educational institutions. I love it !!

A very beautiful place, especially at sunrise and sunset. Entrance to the territory is paid - they took eight dollars from us. Cash payment. A clean toilet is available on site. Be sure to take mosquito repellent with you, there are incredibly many of them.

Free public park. Dogs allowed. Shallow water with no waves. Very popular. Walking/biking trails. Food vendors. It is a beautiful and calming atmosphere. Bring a chair and sit under the palm trees.

Had a wonderful time . Very nice and clean . Like that the police monitors the area. And most of all want to thank the ocean rescue guards for helping us with my friend truck that got stuck in the sand. Very grateful.

This park needs some love. I came here tonplay disc gold. This was disappointing as several holes cannot be reached without going through restricted areas or down their mini railroad. One hole tee is blocked by a tree so you cannot through. Tee pads are too small. Several holes require you to throw through trees. Afterwards I went to the poorly maintained brach. Covered in dried up seaweed. There is a beach closed sign by one area but it is falling down. The park looks decent. This could be simply amazing with some attention.

I didn't just visit the Key Beach Park I had the opportunity to explore, do something adventurous and try new food. Took a boat ride on Fury to snorkel on one of the most beautiful reefs in the world. It was good vibes, beer, margaritas, remedy for sea sickness, music, and amazing tourist like me! The Fury staff made everyone aware of the things that was to happen and not to happen. Visited a couple stores while taking a potty break and the prices were 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ reasonable and yet questionable, lol. Tried a fish taco that was really good. There trees look so unrealistic but amazing looking. People walked around and did there own thing, everyone was basically minding their own business, riding bikes, laughing, smiling, the vibes were just high and good. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to explore but I'm looking forward to returning again soon for more adventures.

Love it. Not crowded, especially at the northern end. Nice to feel secludwd in a natural environment. We snorkeled from shore, which was pleasant for us. It's not like reef snorkeling, but plenty of cute little fish, guitar fish, and large spotted rays and sting rays. I am sure there are a lot of turtles in season. There were food and drink trucks at the southern end by the volleyball courts. Bring something long sleeved or insect repellent. If the breeze dies down, the mosquitoes are ridiculous.

My partner and I were here for an event and the park is incredible. Very very beautiful beach, lovely little trails to walk on and very picturesque. I would advise if you're planning on hanging out on the beach and you want to have snacks or a picnic of any sort, be aware there are racoons that do come out in the daytime and they will take your things and come right up to you. They're not afraid of people at all. So just keep that in mind

I love this beach is quite and the staff are really nice they help you to follow the rules and find the best place for what you need. We always go to have fun with the family. They have tables and barbecues for you to use. The beach is always calm and great to relax I love it because is shallow and you have trees right in the sand which help you with the hot and sun in Miami. They also have plenty of restrooms that make it easier with kids.

We went off season so nothing was really open. But it was a nice cozy beach on what I believe to be land where they hold a lot of festivals.

We participated in the MORAES Nest Program, through Frost Science. It was a great educational experience lead by certified volunteers, focused on sea turtle conversation. Virginia Key Beach is not only beautiful and peaceful (especially early morning), but also host to several unique elements. It's a historic location, preserved as a reminder of progress. The park offers extensive bike trails with fun names (mostly rock songs) at varying levels of experience. There is a PADL rental facility, where patrons can rent water sports equipment. There's beach areas, picnic areas, playgrounds, "hidden" swing, plenty of walking trails and stunning views. *I was saddened to see that despite multiple organized beach clean up efforts, there are still areas where it's evident that some beach-goers aren't leaving the beach as nice as they found it.*

They call it Virginia Key but I call it Tranquility Bay. Overgrown trees hides the beach and creates a nice barrier from parking lot. Not a place to look for shells and no swimming. We sat on a nearby picnic bench and waded into the water. So peaceful. A great place to reset and recharge your batteries. Was there maybe a couple hours and it felt like heaven. Not crowded at all. And the people who were nearby still felt like you had the place to yourself.

Beautiful water and nature, love the area, great food kayaking or paddle boards, there is even a PADL rental kiosk right there!

Very nice view. Plenty of parking but get there early. Not the best beach in south florida. It's really a bay. But nice nevertheless.

This place was beautiful and there were hardly any people there which was a bonus. There was a Mexican food truck there that was kinda meh but the each itself, paradise.

Historic and still active inlet. The stadium has been the backdrop of movies and local boat shows!

Very cute, we went out 9n a busy weekend and it was not as crowded as the other beaches, you pay $8 once to get in. Bring water shoes ! Little sand and lots of rocks 🪨 right up on the shore and more going into the water, it's shallow. Cute beaches under the mangroves.

I always enjoy coming here. Super easy to get to, parking is a bit limited but if you bring patience to the beach you will get in. The beach is really nice with plenty of palm trees for shade or for hanging a hammock from. Beautiful view of downtown Miami and Brickell.

Wonderful Place very nice option if you want to do something different in the afternoon the staff very nice people good service ! The location is perfect to enjoy the sunset !! Prices are fair enough!

One of the best places where you can actually watch the sunsetting over the ocean in Maimi. Would be 5 stars if not for the small batches of seaweed and being shallows (yet also means great for little kids too).

I came here for the great reviews and photos that others left. Buut I did not see the same beach they rave about. Trash everywhere and not enough sand to comfortably sit. By that I mean it’s a small area of sand before the water. It was very dirty and many flies in the sand area did I mention the garbage? Maybe it was the date I visited but it left a very bad impression. Didn’t even know the water hazard (red flag) until I had already paid and brought out all my belongings. The $8 fee is non refundable and seems harsh if you only come for one thing in my case the beach. They have many tables, places to bbq, a park for the kids and a soccer field from what I saw. You can also rent to kayak but none of that was the reason for my visit. Disappointed. Hope your visit is better than mine. My best advice ask about the water and sand before paying if that’s your main reason for visiting.

Lots of people come here in the evenings to drink with groups of friends and the view is nice.. No real waves for swimming tho and lots of trash and seaweed. People bring music so it can be loud and also i think it's a nice place to just go for a walk or a talk.

  • 5/5 Victor S. Y. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing place! You can only get there if you have a boat or rent a boat, but it’s definitely worth it.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset!! The views were spectacular and we were able to sneak a skewer of chicken and vegetables along with a cheese filled something lol!!

Big parking spot, 2 play grounds, grills, walking paths and sand beaches with nice entry to the ocean. Everything well maintained and clean. If you want to spend nice time with your family it's your place to go.

I went to this Beach on a Sunday and it was pretty desserted. It's $10 per vehicle. There was a lot of seeweed in the bottom so I didn't like how it felt. However it was a very beautiful day and they also have a playground for kids. I gave it 3 stars because of the price, I feel it's a bit high. There was plenty of parking.

This a fantastic park on the water with some real hidden treasures of you take your time to explore all it has to offer. Not every spot on the beach is perfect, but there are plenty of good spots to go around. And there are 2 excellent, albeit a little run down, playgrounds for the kiddos.

  • 5/5 Carlos G. 2 years ago on Google
Nice place, well maintained, unless you go toward the bridge where there was a lot of garbage accumulated by the fence. Still, children friendly and plenty of space to stay for a long while.

I love Virginia Beach 🏖 it type of one of a kind places where you come back always

  • 5/5 Misha P. 2 years ago on Google
Love this park. I think it has the most surreal and unusual beach in the whole south florida. Just take a walk along the beach all the way to the north. It is absolutely spectacular and incredible. The geologies change, the views and vegetation change, shallow areas and driftwood, clay basin and little creek, pine trees in the end and Miami Beach vista make this beach here so unique and so fun to explore. There are plenty of places with shade, hidden nooks in vegetation with tables.

  • 4/5 queenlilly11 2 years ago on Google
The beach was so pretty. Many people out enjoying the water. I wish there wasn't as much floating sea weed in there I hate walking through it. Buttt I had a great time. The water was warm the skies were blue with white clouds, got to be in the water while the sun set. So pretty. The water is low so you can get pretty far out with out the water rising. Definitely a family environment and dog friendly.
