Absolutely amazing food. The Japanese Sweet Potato was very different. The Korean Chicken is a must try. My favorites were the Roasted Cauliflower and the Wagyu Brisket. Everything was presented simple but beautifully. Our waiter Derek was very informative about items on the menu and how to pair items together. Great food, great service!

KYU Miami is one of the best restaurants I’ve had the pleasures of dining at. The wait time was a little long but not too bad , especially during Art Basel week. They scaled the menu down for this event, but I was still so satisfied. The food is very rich and fresh and the quality is top-tier this restaurant is one of my top 3 places when visiting. The braised beef ribs, the avocado salad, the stone pot fried rice with king crab I cannot forget the Korean fried chicken. Everything was delicious the service was excellent & our waitress was very informative. I will certainly visit again and I highly recommend this restaurant. You’ll love it. 2023 Tried to visit location and it sadden me to know this location is no longer open for service. 😩😭

We visited Kyu to celebrate a birthday and had one of the best meals I’ve had in Miami. Well worth the effort to book in advance. The cocktails were fun and tasty and the food was out of this world. The only difficulty we had was deciding what to get. With the help of our server we opted for pork belly buns, roasted cauliflower (a must), the duck burnt ends (heavenly) and we were persuaded to try the bone marrow, a first for both of us. Delicious! Highly recommended! And we somehow still found room for birthday cake-a wonderful not to be missed coconut cake. Then we rolled our way home!

Amazing experience! Wow !! Ribs is just MUST !! I think this is the only place I loved ribs (I usually don’t like ribs). Famous Cauliflower was good but not the best. Drinks were really good and also really good pork! I highly recommend doing reservation before visiting. But definitely my fav place to visit for ribs now! Yum

Very nice Asian fusion restaurant. Located in artsy Wynwood, this restaurant has an open layout (with view of the kitchen and bar from dining room). They serve food in small plates that are perfect for sharing and trying multiple items. We started off with the avocado salad which was filled with greens, avocado, feta cheese and a lemon dressing. It was delicious and very refreshing. We then had the pork and shiitake gyoza which was very tasty although I did knock off a star because of the excessive saltiness in this dish which I felt distracted from an otherwise phenomenal dish. We then had the beef tenderloin which had a roasted kimchi on top. Good flavors although the thin cut of tenderloin made you wishing the steak had more thickness. It was cooked to perfect temp and very juicy. We rounded out dinner with duck burnt ends. Perfectly creamy jus and crispy duck skin and delicious meat. Bravo. To finish off, we got the coconut cake since everyone who’s reviewed this place seems to order it. It was good although not the best I’ve had because it wasn’t as moist as I would’ve liked. All in all, a great experience and definitely would go back to try more of their dishes and revisit some faves!

Our meal was fantastic and David the bartender was amazing. He actually suggested our entire meal and he was spot on. I haven't eaten cauliflower in 30 years but he convinced me to give it a try. We were almost tempted to lick the plate. Lol It was delicious. The fried chicken was not greasy and so moist. The braised short ribs were almost the best I've ever had. And they serve it like a lettuce wrap. Seriously to die for.

This place is absolutely delicious, be sure to try their rice dish and the sweet potato! We ordered almost everything on the menu, as our reservation was quite late in the evening some of the menu items were not available. As for the items that were, everything was excellent. The staff are very polite and attentive as well. If you like fruit I highly recommend their fruit dessert.

We came for a late lunch (sadly too early for happy hour) and this did not disappoint. The cauliflower was highly recommended and cooked perfectly- simple but so good. By far the best on the menu was the braised short rib. It’s served with Bibb lettuce so you make your own hand tacos, and it is so very good. The octopus was cooked well but only came with two very small pieces.

MAN. Where do I start? First off with the waitstaff. Alec was absolutely amazing. He was attentive and cordial. If we come back and he’s working I don’t care where I sit it will be in his section. On to the food- the wife and I got the chef’s experience, a 9-course greatest hits meal. The roasted cauliflower was super tasty. The Thai fried rice definitely stole the show as well. To finish off the coconut cake was splendid and I’m not the biggest fan of coconut in the first place. We still ate the whole thing. The premium drink pairing is definitely worth the money too. The wines and sakes that came with the meals paired perfectly with every aspect of the meal. Finally the atmosphere was great. Sitting outside is a must when you’re here. The music isn’t too loud but goes well with the style of the restaurant. The restrooms are a tad bit dark but we’re very clean. We don’t come to Miami often but we certainly found a place we will not miss on any future trip. GO EAT HERE.

This is one of my favorite place for perfect bao buns and Korean fried chicken. Everything on the menu is highly recommended along with a wide variety of drinks. The service is outstanding, server paid attention to our table, made recommendations of we needed it and was always happy and smiling. That's the type of atmosphere you need when you're dining out. If you live in Broward or Palm Beach I assure you, it's worth the drive.

Amazing restaurant well worth the high price point. Prices have gone up as a result of the pandemic and it’s become more of a special occasion place for me but the service and the food is always incredible. There are so many dishes on their menu that are staples when I go there, which really sets it apart from other restaurants. It’s rare to have so many dishes be something I feel like I need to have every time I come here. I would also recommend the tasting menu if you want to eat great food but you don’t want to make a decision on the menu and you want to be surprised and try something you might not have gotten otherwise. 10/10

Good food. Note to those who want the tasting menu: it is not a traditional tasting. Way too much food! We like tasting menus because we get to try a little bit of everything. Kyu’s tasting menu was never ending and we couldn’t enjoy everything that came out. And the alcohol pairing was not “paired” with each dish that came out. The drinks were brought out randomly during the dinner. Wish this was more organized and smaller portions.

One of my favorite places in Miami. The prices are a bit high but the food has, always, been worth it. The entire menu looks/sounds appealing but I would recommend the beef short ribs.

Amazing! This was my last meal in Miami before heading home after a multi-day conference, and this was the best part of my trip. The hostess was very friendly, and the outdoor and indoor seating arrangements were very warm. My server Damien was very professional, but very casual, helpful with his suggestions, and incredibly expedient — he had me in and out in an hour and served me four courses! The tuna tataki with fire roasted peppers was a great way to start - large portion, very fresh ingredients, low-level spice, and not filling (perfect for a starter). My main was the Thai fried rice. It’s served in a burning-hot pot and mixed table side. Very spicy, but not overbearing, and very creamy with some wonderful crunch. I finished it off with the roasted cauliflower, apparently a customer favorite. It was roasted to perfection and had a creamy sauce that was flavorful and rich. The manager, Marwan, then surprised me with their house special Korean fried chicken. The crispiness was spot-on, the chicken was moist , and the sauce was fire - so good!! And all in an hour! Made it to my gate for the return flight home on-time and with a full, happy stomach. Highly recommend! Will definitely return the next time I’m in town! Thanks, everyone!

The service sequence was brilliantly performed! This restaurant really follows a good set of standards procedure on how to handle guests or customers. From menu presentation, order taking, suggestive selling, and repeating orders were completely followed. The foods and beverages here are really good, and I'm happy because the servers really made us comfortable. I will surely recommend this restaurant to everyone! Very worth it!

I had a great day spending with your restaurant and eat delicious food. The waiters and the waitresses entertained me with a full of confidence, passion, and determination. As I waited for my order, I roamed my eyes in the place and found out that it was clean, cool, and has a modern style. Besides, the drinks and food that was served for me taste very good and yummy. Thanks for making my day splendid!

It was so amazing that it lifted the discomfort due to the Covid19 rules! I was invited for a birthday celebration: it was sumptuous! The grilled cauliflower, the crab and the beef rib! The staff here is wonderful! From start to finish they are very attentive and open to helping with menu selections. I wasn’t too impressed with the three entree’s we ordered other than the Korean Fried Chicken which was OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend any of the tuna appetizers as I found myself beyond impressed with each of them. Overall I give this five stars and if you’re in the area make sure to check them out!

We have been to the restaurant many times for both breakfast and dinner. It’s a family-owned restaurant, with friendly service and homestyle cooking, Their pizzas are quite popular at dinner, but In my opinion, they excel at breakfast. Also, the waiters are very friendly and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable too. We will come back and recommend to all of my friends!

KYU Miami was an incredible food experience. I opted for the lunch experience, where the chefs cooks you a variety of different dishes, each brought out one after the other. Each plate was unique and filled with amazing flavors. The roasted cauliflower was a work of art, and I don't normally eat cauliflower. Topped it all off with a delicious slice of coconut cream cake and vanilla ice cream. I will be back next time I am in Miami for vacation without question.

Best place I ate at while in Miami. This is after eating at several $$$$ restaurants. Kyu is a must! My visit was at the end of June and the space was set up for social distancing. I went with a friend who lives in Miami and he confirmed that they have removed half of their tables inside the restaurant. I imagine it would have been very crowded and lively pre-COVID. The food is delicious. Our party of two ordered several dishes to share. They were Pork Belly Buns, Roasted Cauliflower, Korean Fried Chicken, Thai Fried Rice, and the Mom’s Coconut Cake. My personal favorites are the Pork Belly Buns, Korean Fried Chicken and Mom’s Coconut Cake. I thought the Cauliflower lacked flavor and the fried rice was good, but arrived at our table after we had already eaten everything else. I understand it takes a while to cook the rice, but it arrived at the very end and we were full by then. It could have gone well with the chicken or cauliflower. Not sure if they intend for things to be served in that fashion, but every dish arrived separately. If so, the rice should have arrived with the chicken. Together should be the way to go. The Pork Belly has so much flavor that I wanted several orders. Don’t leave Kyu without trying the Pork Belly! Korean Fried Chicken was fresh and hot when it arrived. I especially loved the flavor from the sauce. It’s hard to comment about service because it’s such strange times right now. It was a good experience and I’d love to visit again once the pandemic is over.

This was suggested by a friend, which he was not mistaken. I love especially the ambiance of the restaurant. My breakfast was cooked perfectly as was my wife, and I suspect the rest of their menu will also be nice. The food that we ordered was above the ordinary, and the price was reasonable. We will definitely be back!

We've tried to get last min reservations here for few years on our short last min trips to Miami and have not been able to get in for dinner last 5 times. I had almost given up... So when i saw et could get in for brunch, i jumped at the chance. We were NOT disappointment. I'm sure covid has made things hard on them as with most places but man this place is packed with flavors that are surprise you when you assume what the dish will taste like. I get what "balanced flavor" means and I mean chef really works his magic. It's like sensing art through taste, smell and texture. The staff worked like a team and were knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating.

Edited review: I come here around 4-5 times a year and as I understand these times are very difficult. I was very surprised to find out that now you have to leave a credit card on file to make a reservation and on top of it if I don't cancel 24 hours before I get charged 50 dollars. This is worse than going to the doctor! preposterous . I am so sad to see one of my fav restaurants doing something this ridiculous. I've had to edit my rating one star lower because of this. You should be lifting the customers that are supporting you through this pandemic not kicking them down. ________________________________________________________________________ The food is out of this world amazing . The king crab fried rice is my recommendation. Service is really good but they could perfect it though .

A lovely lunch today at this restaurant! Ordered the crab cake sandwich and was pleased by the quality of the crab cake, as well as the nicely toasted roll, thick slices of ripe avocado, and crisp hot bacon, which accompanied it. The side of fresh fruit was also generous and perfectly ripe. A very good experience!

COVID Era Review: Best food I’ve had in awhile. Make a reservation! Unfortunately because of pandemic regulations I didn’t get to experience the inside ambiance but they created an impromptu outside area for guests to enjoy. Ambiance is really important to me but the food was just so incredible I didn’t even mind. The server was great! Quick, attentive, and gave good recommendations. Started off with Crispy Pork Belly steamed buns, not the biggest portion but tasty none the less. The Spicy (not really) Shiso Sour was lovely I could have one a day! The Thai Fried Rice Stone Pot with king crab was excellent! I’m not a huge seafood fan but it wasn’t overly fishy it had a great balance. The highlight was the Beef Short Ribs!!! So good it came with an assortment of sauces, spices, hydroponic bibb lettuce, and pickled items. It was super tender and I had fun just trying each piece with different flavor combinations. We ordered the Mom’s KYU Coconut Cake which I definitely recommend as well! Can’t wait to come back!!

Absolutely fabulous, like worth ALL the hype and reputability that it has! First, service was excellent I came in actually a few weeks ago, alone as a way to treat myself. My server, Adam was excellent, so attentive, and made my experience a great one. Then there is the food and drinks...... like HOW are you all so good at this? I’ve spent way more on food around this city only to be underwhelmed and feel like I can make it better at home but NOT here!! I came to feast and treat so I started with the pork belly and gyoza (couldn’t decide so I got both) — excellent. Then my server recommended the fried chicken and this did not disappoint one bit. After taking a long pause and having another cocktail, I had the coconut cake as recommended and OMG. I don’t even like sweets but friends have been raving about this cake and I definitely see why. You have an INCREDIBLE thing going here. Well worth every penny, yet excellent service and most importantly not pretentious. I hope there are plans to make more “KYU” like restaurants representing other cuisines because you guys have the magic.

I had high expectations for this restaurant because I read online that it was one of the best in Miami and they did not let me down at all! I’m a cook from Barcelona and this is the kind of food that makes me happy - loads of flavor and love! Quality price very reasonable the food was fresh and really flavorful, great presentation and really nice servers! The only thing is that the service at some points was a little too slow! The duck burnt ends were delicious and Thai coconut spinach had a great flavor profile. For a drink- I got a wynwood mule which was refreshing. Service was perfect. This place is pretty famous, so take my review with a grain of salt. I honestly dislike the place, our experience was really bad. Bad enough that I never going back. We tried like 6 dishes, we did not like any. There wasn’t one plate that I want to go back and try. The server was really rude, and not there for us. He will not describe the plates, took forever to arrive, and then disappeared for long periods of times. The 18% tip was included, If it wasn’t for that I would had give him an 10%. Conclusion, if you don’t like Asian food, like one bit or have never tried before, I strongly recommend you to not go to this place

As for the food, you NEED the banana bourbon french toast in your life. You need it. We also had pork belly steamed buns and grilled summer corn, also very good. We were celebrating my friend's birthday so they brought out a dessert with a candle. It was their kyu coconut cake, and it was amazing. 10/10 experience.

To try to choose my favorite dish is impossible...everything was exquisitly prepared and your taste buds come alive with some of the best flavors you can experience. Don't leave without trying the Baked Cauliflower infused wit Goat Cheese though.

The food is good but the service is really bad, it takes forever to come and doesn’t come at the same time, it took them 15 min to take our order then 30 min for 1 plate another 30 min for the 2nd plate , and another 30 min for the third plate all then were main course , it’s just too much , plus have of the menu is not available

Waste so much time waiting for the waiter/dishes/desserts. If you have tons of time to spend on meal ( 2hr -3hrs), come here. It does not make sense to spend two hours here to have a lunch.

The serving of their food is very substantial, and for its size, it is very inexpensive. The workers are all very attentive, too. Despite the venue still jampacked with persons, ordering and receiving the bill is comparatively smoother than in most restaurants. I recommend this restaurant highly!

Went to Kyu for lunch. Preferably you will need to make a reservation. Very good service and food was spectacular! I definitely suggest to try different dishes on the menu, like the duck, the cauliflower and the short rib. Outdoor and indoor dinning available. Service great. good bathrooms. recommend

Absolutely loved, probably the best short ribs I’ve ever had easy, drinks delicious too. Bone marrow and the crispy pork very good as well. It’s expensive but worth it. Will be back!

The place is really beautiful and cosy. The menu it is quite varied. The food was good but nothing surprising to me. The server was really kind but like slow and we had to call he’s attention many times because he do not return to the table to take away dirty plates or offer anything else

Soft shell crab steamed bun was alright. It was a bit bland and by the time it reached us it seemed to have lost its crispy texture. The Thai style stone pot was delicious. Perfectly cooked rice that left crispy textured rice, from the bottom of the pot, on every spoonful. One caveat is that this dish in particular is over priced considering the ingredients they use to prepare the dish. The best dish I got was the rib. Thicc, moist, and perfectly charred piece of rib. Came with three different sauces, salt and pepper, and Boston lettuce. Although it’s only one rib, it is a very big meaty SOB. Overall experience was great. Service was excellent. The short rib was the best prepared piece of meat I’ve had in recent memory. The three dishes we got came out to 123 dollars and change. Prepare to dish out some money. The portions were just right for my wife and I (portions are on the smaller side) However please note I am 5’11 190 lbs and my wife is 5’3 106 lbs. It doesn’t take my wife much food to get full so I always have enough to eat. This may vary between different persons.

If you haven't eaten here, make a reservation now. Nothing on the menu will disappoint, you can order classics or something new and can find yourself pleasantly surprised. Don't sleep on the mushrooms or the sweet potato, as they are flavor bombs. Ambiance is great as well, with good music being played, and not too loudly. Restaurant's design was well thought of, as lighting is perfect for diners too. The staff was also fantastic and knowledgeable. Absolutely would revisit.

Wow! Is truly the only word I could find to best describe this venue. From incredible service, great atmosphere, food to die for. Thank you Alan for such a wonderful experience. Will most definitely return. You MUST try the ribs, bacon, and the best Moscow mules.

Awesome restaurant with a delicious menu! We had the roasted cauliflower, which is a must, duck breast and thai fried rice stone pot (also a must!). All of it was amazing. The ambience in the restaurant is quite intimate but it can get loud when busy. A couple things pulled it away from 5 stars. The entire restaurant smelled like a campfire, which didn't make our hair and clothes smell the best. Also, we had made reservations far in advance but when we got to the restaurant we were given a time limit. Odd.

All the dishes our server, Eddie, recommended were fantastic. The drinks were also delicious. The restaurant has a New Yorkish vibe, the staff was beyond friendly and had amazing recommendations for us. This turned out to be one of best restaurants in Miami and we can’t wait to go back.

Other than my own fried chicken. Neck and neck tied 😆 the Korean fried Chicken is out of this universe. The sauce compliments the rich juicyness Of dark meat chicken and that spinach with sesame oil gives it a touch of goodness. Roasted cauliflower is a healthy option for you to order 3 more of them with goat cheese and a shishito vinaigrette. If that doesn't satisfy you well there's burratta & a smoked short rib ready to end up in your belly somehow.

I came here for my girlfriends birthday dinner and it was phenomenal! She is also gluten free and we did the chef’s experience/menu and they accommodated for that as well. It was unforgettable and don’t wear tight clothes because you will leave stuffed!

Great atmosphere and even better food and service. It’s a must for foodies and people looking to trying something new and different. Our waiter was amazing and so were his food recommendations. Already looking to make a reservation when I come back to Miami next month.

Best dining experience I have had in a long time. I eat out 5-7 times a week and wow was I blown away at KYU Miami. Food is exactly how it looks- awesome, overall vibe was so fun with a mixed crowd and the service couldn’t have been better. Dined here for Valentine’s Day and looking forward to trying their up and coming NYC location. Cheers and thank you KYU. See you soon.

We had the lunch chef tasting menu and every dish we tried was delicious. They served a combination of vegetables, chicken, seafood, beef ribs and finally desert. My favorite was the crispy kale chips and the soft shell crab buns. That being said all the food was to perfection. This was my second time and both visits receive high ratings on the food. It was family style and potions were perfect for 3 of us. I noted (from a previous visit) that the portion size on almost all dishes was about the same for a party of 2. So if you’re a big eater you get a little more value with a party of 2 vs 3. The coconut cake slice was huge, but I could have used one more scoop of ice cream considering it was for a party of more than 2. Overall food was delicious and a ‘must try’ for all.

Looking forward to trying this place in NYC as well that is how much I loved the food. The food is really good. Better to go with a larger group since it's family style and there are a number of items to try. Never been a fan of beef tartar but their rendition of it is downright delicious. If you have never tried it definitely give this a shot. In addition the short rib and the branzino fish was delicious.

The food is not too bad, the octopus was great, the steak tartar tasty but tiny and the salads average. Very, very noise, it makes you feel almost uncomfortable to be there. Has the management surveyed customers about that? You are alerted that the dishes come as ready but first time in my life that I have to finish with the salad. It’s popular, the place was almost full

Our experience was amazing! We had our server Dan ( Kudos to him ☀️Attentive, kind and always going the extra mile for us!) to suggest and recommended great dishes for our dinner, we were celebrating my niece birthday and boy!, it was a great time, the appetizers from the tuna 🍣 crispy and corn 🌽, then main courses like the short rib, fried chicken, ribs and snapper just delicious, definitely will be back for the rest of the menu, and desserts the coconut cake and chocolate s’mores cake 🍰

I was recommended to come and eat here by a few people before coming to Miami. This meal did not disappoint. The servers are all super friendly, and the food was top quality. The wagyu brisket, pork buns and Octopus particularly stood out. I'll be returning again before I leave Miami!

  • 5/5 Nicholas 1 year ago on Google
Some of the best food we had in Miami was from KYU. I cannot stress enough how amazing the Wagyu brisket is. While on the pricier side, this place is a must. Come with friends or family as this is the type of place you will want to order plates for the table and share them. Service was top notch! Our waiter informed us he was in training (unfortunately I forgot his name) but he was wonderful!
