I
decided
to
book
a
reservation
here
for
my
birthday
because
I
had
heard
so
many
great
things,
but
my
experience
was
very
disappointing.
I
made
a
reservation
for
8:30pm,
but
my
party
and
I
arrived
15-20
minutes
late
due
to
overwhelming
traffic
in
the
area.
I
called
ahead
of
time
to
let
the
restaurant
know
and
the
hostess
said
that
I
would
most
likely
have
to
wait
a
little
bit
after
arriving,
which
I
understood.
When
I
got
there,
I
was
almost
immediately
turned
off.
This
place
was
PACKED.
There
were
so
many
people
standing
around
the
entrance,
all
packed
in
like
sardines.
It
almost
looked
like
a
club.
Once
I
got
to
the
front
and
checked
in,
the
hostess
(who
was
very
nice)
told
me
to
stand
by
the
bar
and
they
would
come
get
me
once
the
table
was
ready,
which
was
surprising
to
me
because
there
were
SO
MANY
people
standing
around
waiting.
After
about
15
minutes,
I
went
back
to
ask
if
my
table
would
be
ready
soon
and
was
approached
by
the
security
guard.
He
was
very
pleasant
in
trying
to
explain
to
me
about
the
process
of
waiting,
but
the
second
hostess
was
extremely
rude.
When
I
asked
her
if
there
was
a
timeframe
she
could
give
me,
she
very
rudely
said
“
there
is
no
timeframe”.
I
was
amazed
because
I
had
made
a
reservation.
I
expected
to
wait
because
I
had
been
late,
but
her
attitude
and
tone
were
very
uncalled
for.
I
had
to
hold
my
tongue
because
it
was
a
birthday
celebration
and
I
did
not
want
my
night
to
be
ruined.
Once
I
told
her
my
name,
she
said
that
my
ticket
was
there
and
someone
would
be
with
me
in
5
minutes.
5
minutes
ended
up
being
another
15
minutes.
When
we
were
finally
called,
the
walk
to
our
table
was
ridiculous.
Not
only
did
we
have
to
walk
all
the
way
outside
and
around
the
restaurant,
but
we
had
to
walk
up
two
sets
of
stairs
to
get
to
the
smallest
table
outside
on
the
roof.
I
was
EXTREMELY
disappointed
when
I
saw
this.
I
understand
that
a
lot
of
restaurants
don’t
necessarily
go
the
extra
mile
for
birthdays,
but
this
was
way
below
my
expectations.
We
were
seated
in
the
dingiest
high
chairs
that
were
very
narrow
and
very
uncomfortable
for
myself
and
especially
for
the
two
thicker
women
who
were
with
me.
I
am
not
a
person
who
likes
to
be
seated
outside
and
it
was
no
different
here.
It
was
sooo
humid
and
I
had
to
fan
myself
several
times
throughout
the
night.
Even
with
this,
my
guests
and
I
decided
to
make
the
best
of
the
experience
because
it
was
still
a
celebration
and
we
found
enjoyment
in
three
things
(1)
each
others
company
(2)
our
server,
Gianni,
who
was
very
pleasant
and
attentive,
as
well
as
the
gentleman
who
assisted
him
and
(3)
the
food.
I
cannot
deny
that
the
food
was
delicious.
All
together,
we
ordered
the
beef
dumplings,
Chinese
ribs,
Korean
fried
chicken,
spicy
steak,
king
crab
lo
mein,
veggie
fried
rice,
five
Miami
coladas
as
our
drinks
and
one
cheesecake
for
dessert.
There
were
3
in
our
group
and
the
bill
came
up
to
$465,
which
included
an
18%
gratuity
fee.
I
also
tipped
Gianni
$40
and
paid
$20
for
valet
plus
tip.
Gianni
absolutely
deserved
his
tip,
but
I
expected
a
better
experience
overall
for
the
amount
that
this
place
charges.
I
go
to
a
different
restaurant
every
year
for
my
birthday
and
Komodo
was
the
most
lackluster
experience
I’ve
ever
had.
Needless
to
say,
I
will
not
be
going
back
unless
invited
by
someone
else.
