we cannot recommend República Guest House highly enough. Its a 10+++ place like nowhere else. The room is comfortable, clean and cosy. You can find everything you need in the Guesthouse which js well located and decorated with great taste. Graça prepared delicious breakfast for us that we had pleasure to take outside in the lovely patio. Graça and João really are the perfect hosts: their hospitality is unparalleled! They took care of us as if we were family and were deeply moved by their kindness. Such a special place with beautiful people.

It was a pleasure to be guests in the place.The owenrs and the people helping them are kind generous and helpful, telling us about the history of the house and the beautiful small town.The house and the beautiful patio are very clean and has the magic of an old family home . The breakfast is rich and big and includes also possibilities for vegans.We enjoyed alot our staying and we hugged for goodbye.We will definitely come again Millie ❤️

The most Magnificent Guesthouse! The guesthouse is designed beautifully , with unique style and is in perfect location. The owners are very welcoming and friendly making you feel at home. The breakfast was the best we have eaten! homemade with a lot of love and care to each dish. Highly recommend!! We will definitely return!

This was the most wonderful place to stay! Gorgeous room and comfy bed in a charming building. Access to a living room and kitchen was lovely, plus the fabulous breakfasts by Graca! Her homemade treats left out for us to enjoy all day were delicious. Walking distance to the University. Cute patio to use during nice weather.

We liked everything. If you are looking for an accommodation in Coimbra this is the best place to chose. Perfect location to visit the city (we parked in front of the B&B and walked everywhere), very clean and comfortable room, amazing breakfast (one the best we have ever had) but the real plus is given by Graça and her staff ... super friendly and caring with lot of tips to experience Coimbra in the best way possible. Fabulous hosts, and an impressive breakfast. The room was comfortable with a great aircon and hot shower, and the location is quite close to most everything within a 20 minute walk or so. We even got lucky and found a parking spot on the street right outside. Free parking from 7pm-8am, but even outside those hours it's only 0.70 euros an hour or something like that. Lovely experience.

Perfect stay with warmest welcome from Graça and João. Spotlessly clean, quirky creative touches & very comfortable bedrooms. This was by far the best breakfast we (2 couples) had during the whole of our stay in Portugal, not to mention the delicious cake. Excellent tourist advice/orientation & assistance with restaurant booking from Graça. Really great location. Everything was perfect & we can not recommend República Guest House enough.

The best place to stay in Coimbra!! Graca was the most warm and welcoming host we could ask for. She cheerfully greeted us and showed us where all the sites were, where to buy tickets, gave us dinner recommendations, and then surprised us with fruit and champagne for our anniversary! And then breakfast was incredible - so much delicious food, we felt like it was a 5-star hotel. I can't say enough good things about Graca and her staff and family, I only wish we stayed longer. Don't stay anywhere else in Coimbra!

Excellent experience here! Graça and João are great hosts, as well as the rest of the staff. Nice location... Close to the university and other points of interest, including restaurants and shops. Highly recommend staying here, if you value personalized service (and a tasty breakfast).

João and Graça are passionate about serving their guests. I only know some of the extreme lengths they go to to make sure their guests have a wonderful stay.... And it's definitely over and above. If you want to feel welcome in Coimbra, this is where you should stay!

During my stay at the University of Coimbra as a vVsiting Professor I spent there charming days. I absolutely recommend them, they are offering moch more then 5 stars hotel standard, Piotr Kordel.

Great location 5 min walking distance from the old, beautiful rooms extremely nicely furnished, super nice host, super tasty breakfast, and in addition to all of this free porto wines!
