Definitely worth a visit ! It's not a very common place for tourists to visit, but it was the highlight of my trip to Lisbon. Take the ferry from Cais do Sodre.

The kids enjoyed it immensely. After a week on beaches and by the pool a little culture never hurts! The Cacilhas area is up and coming and a good place to visit.

Nice tour of the interior of an old frigate. Full-sized dummies placed to represent some roles aboard. Be careful not to hit your head on the lower decks.

What a great exhibit of a historic ship! Wonderful presentations of life aboard with descriptions in Portuguese and English. Only 5€ (2.50€ for over 65 years old)!

Free when we went. A fantastic boat with lots of interesting history. Well worth a visit. No toilets or accessible entrance. We left our pram outside with nothing in it whilst we looked round.

(Translated by Google) This is, without a doubt, a place to visit for two great reasons: 1. - Because when we visit this ship, we have the chance to enter a place that takes us to the past, where we can get involved in a rustic atmosphere of a beautiful historic piece of navigation that Portugal has managed to preserve. Dom Fernando ll e Glória is simply the 4th oldest warship in the world. 2 ° - This old Warship, a beautiful treasure of the Historical and Cultural Collection of the Navy of Our Country, which sailed between 1845 and 1875, suffered a violent Fire in 1963 remaining, after an extensive Restoration Process that took place between 1992 and 1997 , what is currently seen in the dry dock of Cacilhas, with an interior richly filled with articles, accessories, models and original equipment from various sections of the ship. Visiting this Ship is, indeed, an Excellent way of Valuing Live a small fraction of the History of our Country, as well as expressing through our Presence, a gesture of Thanks for all the Responsible involved in the Recovery of this Relic, a Beautiful Historical National Treasury of our Portuguese Naval Fleet.

Not so spectacular from outside BUT inside you learn a lot how the tough life was during the time of the sail ships. They reconstructed it very well after it burned down. It's a pity that it seems the ship is not looked after very well as it shows quite some signs of decay (some leaks from rain and paint coming off).

We had no idea this was here so it was amazing to discover it when we parked up in the car park next to it. It cost 4€ to look around which was well worth it as there were lots of displays.

We're here in January and the ship has everything covered up on the deck. The masts have been taken down and sections with exhibits were closed. We still found it interesting, but wouldn't recommend this time of year.

A must for anyone visiting Lisbon - on your way to the Cristo Rei Sanctuary (Christ the King), definitely stop at the national treasure that is the Fernando II frigate, which is open to the public. Built in Daman (Portuguese India), it was the last ship to sail from Goa to Lisbon under Portuguese banners. See and relive history - they even let you ring the ships bell! It's €4 absolutely well spent :)

Set up as it would have been in the 1800s, this museum ship allows you a glimpse into a day in the life onboard. Figures are setup throughout as if they paused frozen in place. Displays are in English as well. Easily accessible parking or by ferry make this an easy stop. The nearby panoramic view of Lisbon is also worth seeing.

Found about it while touring the Maritime Museum. It was a lot more than i expected, a lot of things to see, very well done exhibit. Definitely worth the visit. You can take the ferry from Cais Sodre and from the terminal in Calcilhas a 2-3 minute walk.

Very nice place that shows life on a ship. Historical elements are placed along with mannequins, rooms and regions on the ship are well described. You can see cannons, crew, captain and medic quarters, kitchens and place where they stored livestock. Ticket 4€.
