This restaurant serves food that is out of this world!!! seriously if you are in or around Nerja you would be missing out if you dont go to this restaurant, not only is the food fantastic but the staff are absolute professionals and extremely helpful, never felt rushed..and the view of the mountains just tops it off..!!! so so good..!!! 11 out of 10..!!

Exceptionally good food. Fantastic location with stunning views. Good size parking area. The decor is fabulous. I can't reccomended it highly enough. They Cater also for Vegas and Vegitarians. Excellent Service.

We found this place by using Google, and boy did it deliver. The view across Nejra to the sea and mountains is fantastic. Then the food is absolutely superb and the service that goes with it is spot on. We managed to get a seat out on the balcony which we loved. I had two starters, the asparagus and poached egg, and the Lamb with hummus and harrissa. My Wife had the goats cheese. All the food was delicious and presented beautifully. We also managed to talk to the owners and they were extremely friendly and just such lovely people. So I'm sure it would be a great place to stay too.

We stayed 3 nights over the new year period with 2 dogs. The accommodation was nice and clean and warm with a loverly hot shower, would definitely stay again. The food and service in the restaurant was fantastic Alix and her staff couldn't do enough for us, nothing was to much trouble. Overall the hostal, restaurant and kind and friendly staff we had a perfect 3 nights stay. The views from the hostal balcony and the restaurant terrace toward nerja are breathtaking.

Avalon... . The Mythological Island. And a perfect name for such a beautiful magical venue. The location:- the view takes your breath away a camera simply cannot do it justice, the perfect spot for a Shirley Valentine moment and the food is to die for, the owners Alix and Kevin and the staff are just so welcoming and friendly. I visited 4 times on my first trip to Nerja and just had the most wonderful experience every time, whether it was drinks by the roaring log fire on a cool February evening or fabulous food in the lovely resteraunt or out on the patio they could not be more welcoming and atentive. Nerja has many amazing places and this for me was one of the best and hope to have many more visits in the future. Fabulous :)

We were a party of 14 at the restaurant celebrating my wifes 60th birthday. Avalon were amazing with pre-party organising, I had liaised several months earlier and they were spot on. The food and service on the night was 1st class 5☆+. Stunning setting. Many thanks and well done. Chris Davies

We had a beautiful dinner tonight our compliments to the chef,one meal being vegan. Staff were very friendly and helpful.We will definitely be returning 😊

Had the wild boar and it was absolutely delicious. We had lunch and it was one of the nicest meals we had in our week away. Reasonably priced as well.

We have just returned from our stay at Avalon. The view from our room was spectacular...suffice to say a sundowner glass of vino on our balcony was pure bliss. Alix and the team at Avalon certainly made our stay very welcoming and super comfortable. The tea/coffee facilities in our room along with the mini fridge were a great bonus for our 2 week holiday. Breakfast, set in the cooler courtyard area, was plentiful, fresh and cooked to order.... Kev's omlettes are devine!!!

Had a perfect lunch here with shared tapas menu. Beautifully presented, delicious and an exquisite view. Friendly service and pretty surroundings full of flowers

Had the Christmas menu, which was fantastic. Service and staff are ten out of ten. I highly recommend everyone to go to Avalon for a meal or to celebrate a special occasion.

What a wonderful place. The service is friendly and professional, the restaurant is comfortable with in and outdoor seating. But the food, oh wow! The food is exceptional. really fresh and imaginative using the best of local ingredients with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. If we are ever in the area again we will be back.

What a great restaurant! We have a dog so it is great to find a really good restaurant that really is dog friendly. The staff were all wonderful, especially our waiter Paulina, who could not have made us feel more welcome. The food was superb, and the view was spectacular looking along the coast to Nerja and beyond. This was a delightful way to spend an evening and was extremely good value too. We will certainly be visiting again while we are here.

We stopped by to reserve a room as we could not book online. The friendly waiter at the hotel phoned the owner who did not respond. So he called the other owner/chef who authorized the room. We had a lovely dinner on the terrace. When we returned to the room and switched on the aircon, it did not work. We called and the friendly waiter tried as well but the aircon did not work. He was puzzled as it was a new aircon. He called the owner and, given the late hour, they provided a fan instead. We didn't have a good night's sleep - the fan was noisy and it was warm. The next morning the owner was nonchalant and offered no apology. She said that they should not have given the room to us as it was not ready. I explained that her husband had authorized it. She then added that it takes 45 minutes to run the aircon before it turns on to cool. She was unapologetic, offered no discount, and displayed a complete disregard to us as paying guests. What a shame! The staff is lovely but the owner lacks hospitality. We won't return.

Went for a light lunch today and came away absolutely full! Plenty of choice and we knew from previous visits rhe food would be fabulous. We went with the waiters recommendation of smoked cod croquettes as a starter for me followed by the chicken pate and crisp bread - both came with a small salad and sauce. I also had the apple and pear crumble with creme anglaise for dessert. I left with 3 doggy bags as I cannot eat a lot these days at any one sitting My husband had the recommended beefburger and trimmings which came with a different salad and chips. He had the raspberry meringues with mango, raspberry coulis and yogurt. We will now have to live on these memories for at least 18 months before our next visit to Nerja. Always a pleasure to eat here. Thank you.

Book a table on the terrace with great views of the surrounding area. Food was very good the waiters attentive and polite and prices reasonable. I would recommend a visit if your in the area.

Second visit, birthday celebration spoiled. Food was good location is excellent. Overall not a good experience didn't feel valued or welcome. Pity as we really enjoyed our first visit.

Firstly, the starters were lovely. But, then they messed up the order for the mains and we got 4 beef burgers instead of 4 beef strips in a creamy brandy sauce. When the mains arrived they brought out the burgers knowing they had messed up the order. They apologized and said we can have these burgers or wait 40 minutes for what we ordered. We decided to take the burgers as we didn’t want to wait that long. The burgers weren’t that great, tasted like a standard burger. After speaking to the manager they agreed we could have the mains for free, which seemed reasonable after what had happened. We then ordered two desserts and only one turned up. Again they had messed up the order. I asked where it was and it never turned up. After 15 minutes I asked again where it was and the waiters did not have any recollection of it, so I just told them to forget it.
