This has to be one of my most favorite beaches of the entire Algarve. The steep orange colored cliffs, green trees and clean beach make up for a beautiful place to wander around. Moreover, it's a good place to surf too judging by the amount of surfers around. Make sure to include this beach in your visit, it's definitely worth it.

In mid-November there was not much life on this marvellous beach as we took a long walk. But the red-coloured cliffs were magnificent and it was amusing to see the playful birds, like the Ruddy Turnstones, Yellow-legged Gulls and a solitary Kestrel along the beach. We didn't have the strength to walk all the 5 km from Olhos d'Agua to Vilamoura, but what we saw was fantastic. There is a well-prepared footpath on the top of the cliffs above the beach, giving lovely views of the beach and beyond.

One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to. The contrast between the red mountains, the ocean, and the greenery is quite impressive. I came in May and there was a lot of seaweed, but after the seaweed you can swim into the peaceful ocean itself. This area of the beach is perfect because it’s not full of people. There aren’t any services on these beach except for on the top before you go down to the beach. Tips: - Bring a bit of sunblock cuz the sun is strong - Walk until you find a quiet spot, you’ll find one - Stay at the little shack on the top of the stairs after chilling at the beach and grab a smoothie or drink

I had the most wonderful time at Praia da Falésia! The beach's natural beauty left me in awe. The golden sand stretching for miles, framed by dramatic cliffs, created a breathtaking backdrop. The crystal-clear turquoise waters were perfect for swimming and refreshing dips. The beach was clean and well-maintained, with ample space to relax and soak up the sun. I also appreciated the facilities available, such as beach bars and restaurants, which offered tasty snacks and refreshing drinks. Whether you're seeking tranquility or outdoor activities, Praia da Falésia has it all. It's a true paradise that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Algarve region.

Amazing beach, the sand is white and soft and the rocks just make for a phenomenal view! We went here in November and it was still warm with only few people around. To get down to the beach you have to walk down a longer set of wooden stairs.

Beautiful beach and great for a walk or the day out. When we visited it was quite so had the whole beach to ourselves. We walked the whole length of the beach which took about 2 hours end to end. Never had an issue with parking, lots available and it's close to the steps down.

A lovely beach, nice and easy to get to using the lift situated near the cliff top garden of the Pine Cliffs Hotel. The beach was lovely, sandy, and very mellow. Would reccomend to kids!

Nice walk to the beach through the pine wood from the MH park.Sheep and goats free range with herder. Beach very attractive but far too busy. Cliffs very unstable sandstone. Don't go anywhere near the edge!

Going down the beach is nice experience but going at the cliffs above is just amazing! Superb view on the ocean and beach and partially the cliffs. And on the other side trees, and green areas in general.

Amazing beach, it’s stunning. The colours of the sand and the steep landscape makes it perfect for photos. The beach is really long so if you walk there will be enough space to accommodate many people.

Unique experience walking along this widespread beach. However, there were no changing rooms or restrooms available (maybe because we were there in October and almost no one was swimming and the situation might be different during summer). So, dress all your swimwear at home. If you'd like more peace and privacy, then I'd recommend another beach.

Beach itself was awesome! Beautiful nature gorgeously shaped by sea and wind with reddish color of minerals that can be seen on the surface of hills. Besides that, the whole facilities around it are not very well developed for a great and smooth beach experience. Not many parking places and those one’s available were very poorly maintained.

Beautiful beach with soft orange sand, amazing cliffs which stretch for a few kilometres, plenty of space even on busy days. Waves can be a little strong but when tide is out it is safe enough for young children to play in sea. We found the sea to feel slightly cold even in August but bearable as you can warm up in the sun. Beach stretches from Olhos de Agua to Villamora marina.

We recently visited this beach and were blown away by its beauty and overall experience. It ranks among the best sand beaches we've ever been to. The soft golden sand and pristine waters create a picturesque setting that is perfect for relaxation and enjoyment. One of the highlights of our visit was the option to rent a lounger for the entire day at an incredibly reasonable price. For as low as 12 euros, we were able to secure a comfortable spot and spend the day in absolute comfort. It was definitely worth it, as we had a cozy place to relax, soak up the sun, and admire the breathtaking views. The only minor drawback we noticed was the absence of public showers on the beach. After a refreshing dip in the sea, it would have been convenient to have access to showers to rinse off the sand and saltwater. Instead, we had to make our way back to the facilities, which left us feeling a bit squishy and sticky. This is something that the beach management could consider improving in the future. That being said, the beach itself is truly amazing, offering a serene environment where you can spend a full day unwinding and enjoying the tranquility. Whether you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway or simply seeking a place to relax and chill, this beach is an excellent choice. Overall, we highly recommend this beach for its natural beauty, affordable lounger rentals, and the opportunity to spend a full day in relaxation. Don't forget to bring your own towels and consider the lack of public showers, but aside from that, you're in for a fantastic beach experience.

Could do with more facilities at beach level for patrons with walking disabilities but stunning beach, spotless clean, Atlantic ocean cold but refreshing

Advantages: Gorgeous beach, long enough not to be crowded if you dont mind walking a bit, best sunset view. downside: tough to park & water was blurry and full of seaweed yesterday (which is a gamble anywhere in algarve)

Beautiful beach by red cliffs. Clear turquoise water, medium sized waves when I was there. Clean sandy beach, uncrowded. Overall the prettiest beach I've been to in Portugal - Even better than the "best" Praia da Marinha.

Very popular beach which still has some private areas, can be tricky to get to by public transport (you need to walk around half an hour from the nearest stop but it’s worth it). Stunning views on top of the cliff (you need to be careful as it’s very steep in some points). They have areas with a few beach cafes that serve drinks but if you go further you can find more isolated areas to relax in

Amazing beach, corse brown sand. The beach is long so hard to get it crowded. The red cliff gives it a nice character.

Best beach ever... My beach for more than 20 years now. Best beach in the Algarve, specially out of season. Marvellous sandy cliffs, smooth sand, clear water and perfect for long walks from edge to edge...

Explore all of it, there are some secluded spots at the end of it, you'll love spending time and taking pics there.

  • 5/5 Joana C. 11 months ago on Google
Recommend reserving a sunshade with lounge chairs ahead of time because the day and half-day fees are expensive. Also has spaces to bring your own sunshade for free. Beach itself is very nice.

The beach is nice, no question about it. I wish though that the water was warmer here. It is freezing cold even in July.

Great beach for children. Many shells. Waves just the right size. Sea a bit colder (18-22°C July/August)

  • 5/5 Roberto C. 9 months ago on Google
Wonderful beach, probably the most beautiful of the eastern Algarve! No seaweeds, no wind (just a little breeze) and lot of space! You should walk for 5 minutes to escape the crowded part of the beach just at the bottom of the stairs and you probably will find a quiet place. Until 11.00 it is very easy to find a spot on the beach. The sea is very beautiful and the red rocks behind complete this fantastic landscape!

This beach is very beautiful. This is the only beach inside this district. I like it very much.

Good beach, but has lack of room on sand when tide. There is no shower on the beach so be prepared to walk to your appartment with salt on your body, also there is no changing rooms. If you going there by car be aware that you should use parking slots about 300-400 meters away from the beach that will be occupied starting from 9:30 AM

Beautiful views of the Atlantic, nice for walks in the sand, seashells and surfing. The cliffs offer stunning views and sunsets. There's a surf rental place. Beach is very long so no problems with people

Stunning, beautiful beach with amazing rock formations. The beach transforms at low tide, if you stay in or near Falésia, make sure to check out the beach both at high tide and at low tide too. Perfect for walks, run, hikes whatever you like.

Such a beautiful beach with soft sand, clear water and beautiful views. It’s huge too! And there’s a cafe at the top where you can get delicious fresh fruit smoothies, coffee, food and more.

Lovely beach with fabulous views. Definitely worth a visit. Steep access but there is a drop off point. Would be difficult for anyone with mobility problems ..lots of steps.

Is a nice beach but there is no shop around to buy a drink. I can see it only working if you bring an icebox or something. Sunbeds -12€ for half a day.

Amazing! As much for the beach than for the walk by the ocean!

Whilst visiting The Algarve for a weekend with the lads we wanted a nice chilled Sunday on the beach so we took a drive here on the way to the airport. Ample parking in town with a short walk to the beach. Cafe at the top provides plenty of choice of food and drink. There's a walk down some steep wooden stairs to the beach, which is absolutely beautiful.
