Beautiful location with amazing beaches. Filled with volleyball nets up and down the beaches. You can play on any of them anytime. Plenty of areas to beach and play in the ocean. Parking can be tricky if you don't get there and get a spot. But 2 hours is the typical amount for a parking meter. Lots of great food options in the area. The Strand path is amazing. This path extends all along the beaches from pier to pier. Bathrooms located throughout. Check out the houses along the path. Amazing and beautiful. Lots of creative builds.

Great and peaceful walk at the pier. You can watch the surfers, the beach volleyball courts. If you walk off the pier, the street is vibrant and a lively vibe. The streets lined with stores, restaurants coffee shops and clothing shops.

Beautiful place! Fresh and clean. I enjoy having a cup of coffee and listening to music there. I take some photos with pretty views for instagram. ? Good to go with my family.

Manhattan Beach Pier is such a beautiful spot to come and relax with family, friends or loved one's... The lower level parking fills up pretty quick in the AM because of the surfers. There are two upper lots, unfortunately there are only one handicapped parking space and roughly 8-14 spaces. Besides those locations try street parking but beware, parking enforcement is on point, so pay the meter...??

Probably my favorite place on earth! I just enjoy sitting on the beach and doing nothing. Restrooms are very close and there are lots of food options. I always have pleasant experience whenever I go there. Highly recommend. Great vibes and amazing sunsets!

Fun day at the beach! The waves are VERY strong and I would not recommend for small children. Good for surfers near the pier. No fire pits or bonfires allowed at this beach.

Came for a sunset and ended up getting some nice views. Nice pier to take a walk on or go fishing. Plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from but pretty spendy as well. Great spot!

Very clear and beautiful ocean with many waves coming by, people surf, play volleyball and in the sand. There are many restaurants and stores nearby. The weathers really good too, feeling the breeze as you walk on the pier. 10/10

Beautiful pier with great views. There are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy. Restrooms were clean at the pier. Netball area is huge and clean. The water is a bit brown though at the time of our visit. Great shops around for shop and variety of food options too.

As driving on Manhattan Blvd, downtown could obviously see these small restaurants people's sitting down. Of course enjoy a talk, or having a dinner. All this is outside not wearing no mask so anyway I park we got off with my 2 daughters. We got to the beach, for a walk very close to the ocean. I'm like wow many people's not wearing mask. Other then that I enjoyed with my 2 daughters. Beautiful and love going to the beach, help to take my problem away! God Bless everyone, continue to follow coronavirus and wear your mask!

Review for January 30th 2022. The Manhattan Beach Pier is located in Manhattan California. It was a wonderful day and the weather was good. There were a lot of people here today for a Sunday but I managed to find parking nevertheless. The pier is pretty short but interesting enough, there is an aquarium at the end of the pier. Inside the pier you can find some fish and marine life local to the area. I'm not guilty, to say that I absolutely appreciate the California coastline is being open for the public. The people here are nice and the Sea Breeze felt great.

Beautiful place and beautiful pier. Awesome pictures from underneath. Beautiful walkways bikeways and gigantic sand beach that goes on for miles. This place has so many volleyball nets they appear to go on forever there's hundreds of them. Built in the 1800s this is an icon and they must see. 8 minutes from LAX airport A+

Beautiful place - serene and the aquarium has lots of information about conservation of our ocean and sea life. Get up close with sea life and it’s free. There is a box for you to contribute a donation at the door. Love the sandpipers on the shore too

Decent place to relax and unwind. I came here on a Friday evening, parked close by, but fair warning, minimal parking close to the pier, just wait a few minutes, and someone will leave. Quite a few people were out and about, and I watched the sunset. Lots of beach patrol as well. Felt safe and surroundings were clean.

A simple pier in a beautiful city! The pier offers great views of the beach, surfers, and the Pacific Ocean. The pier does have a small aquarium at the end that was by reservation only when we were there. The surrounding city was so pretty with the houses, missions, and restaurants. We would definitely go back to this area!

Nice little pier that doesn't have much except views and a neat albeit small aquarium. I found the aquarium at the end a nice touch and you still had room to go to the very front and see unobstructed views of the sunset. I would highly recommend this destination for sunset viewing or ocean photography.

We love this place. Such a beautiful area with a nice boardwalk, beach and pier. There's fishing on the pier, so it's a little fishy and dirty, but a nice place to walk out and see the water up close. You can also clean your fish there at the cleaning station. It's a landmark where you can have your group meet up. Overall Manhattan Beach is great!

The weather was great for a mini escape from AZ! There was even a small little intimate beach wedding under the pier which was cute to witness. This beach could use more parking availability but all in all as long as you time it right it's a peacefull, laid back a family friendly. Last weekend they also had a bunch of the sand volleyball nets up next to the pier.

This is a beautiful pier and place. I brought my kids here and they loved walking the beach. It was nice and quiet. Clean. Wasn’t crowded at all. Bathrooms were locked but it was still a good time. The different colored lights illuminated the area but not too bright so it was a good tone. We loved the area and look forward to our next time here.

Beautiful sandy beach. You can walk/jog/run/bike on the pathway parallel to the beach or go in to water. It was quite when we visited during weekdays evening. There was lots of parking available in nearby. There are good restaurants right beside pier. Overall great experience.

Very tight parking lots at the bottom of the step hill, but the close spots are nice. The aquarium at the end on the pier has limited hours so plan accordingly if planning to go too. Well kept area with lots of walking and biking paths. Beach is not dog friendly.

Did a nice, relaxing walk from Manhattan Pier to Hermosa Pier for a good 1.70 miles each way. Loved being able to admire the beautiful beach homes on the route. It wasn’t crowded and that was great.

This is a lovely walk after eating at 1 of the eateries or just to catch the sunset beautiful view of the ocean and if you're lucky like we were you'll catch some dolphins at play. At the end of the pier is a small visitors and child friendly museum aquarium which houses small but mighty friends of the ocean. Without knowing it it's a great learning experience for adults and children alike it doesn't take long I suggest leaving a couple books in the donation pot to keep it going it's also a nice addition to the walk on the pier it's actually why we went to Manhattan to begin with and it's free. The staff is friendly and helpful.

A great area for shopping and dining. The pier is nice and a good distance out into the ocean. There are lots of boutique shops nearby as well. A must go to if you're near by. Lots of good boutique hotels in the area. A safe area never had an issue while out and about in Manhattan Beach. Parking can be an issue as with any Beach City but with diligence you'll find somewhere to park safely.

This was really a nice place to go with the family. There's a little aquarium exhibit on the pier and my daughter loved it! The water in the ocean was also such a great temp. The beach was fairly kept up too. Best of all they have washing stations! Perfect to de-sand yourself when it's time to go. Also have bathrooms.

Just beautiful views on this pier. In addition, Manhattan Beach was really nice and beautiful, very clean. There were nice rich blues and greens in the color of the ocean. I definitely will be back there, where there were bathrooms, plenty of shops, and lots to do. Just plan your trip around the weather if you don't mind the heat or not.

I just love the Manhattan Beach Pier. It is so beautiful and full of life. A lot of people will be around walking and riding bikes. There are some of the best restaurants right before the pier starts that have fabulous views of the pier. There is also a fun & free aquarium at the end of the pier.

A great beach and surf overview spot! Here I’ve often gone for a walking break in between riding my bike along the beachfront bike path. It’s always nice to see this upscale stretch of coast from a slightly out at sea view. While a boat view may be better, the pier is high, dry and steadfast, without the all the motion! There’s a relaxed sense of presence here, as pier goers stroll along, sightseeing, surveying the surf and fishing. The free aquarium at the end of the pier is well worth a visit, if not to pose with the shark. There’s a restroom around to the right of the aquarium entrance, as well as by the beginning of the pier, at the beach.

I was really impressed. For some reason I've always gone to Hermosa Beach and have never spent much time at Manhattan Beach. The pier is definitely long, giving a great view of the ocean and all of the surfers. I also enjoyed the small aquarium at the end of the pier. It was well-maintained and had some interesting exhibits. Overall, I had a great time and appreciated the differences of Manhattan vs Hermosa. Both great! Just a different vibe.

Yes, the little museum (I think?) at the end of the pier is closed, but what was neat was the 5 or 6 stands outside the building with volunteers at each one . All had their own setup and educational spiel to give with matching displays and samples. Learning about the ocean is always cool ?

I love The Strand at Manhattan Beach. Where else can you walk a long the ocean, see the sunset and day dream about owning one of the many beautiful ocean front homes that are on The Strand. Great restaurants and shopping. Plan on doing a lot of walking. It is that beautiful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Now if I can only hit the powerball lottery!!

Had a nice time here on my first visit to a California beach. Enjoyed walking along the pier and also the beach; beautiful blue water and stunning views. Hung around the beach while wating for the small aquarium at the end of the pier to open at 2 PM. Was a little surprised at how cool the water was in June (it happened to be cooler than normal temperatures during my visit). While walking along the pier, saw some surfers, volleyball players, and many other people enjoying the beach. It is nice that the vibe here was calm and quiet, not noisy like some other piers and beaches I know. Very glad to have come here.

Stunningly beautiful. Hard to believe you’re moments from the airport and the rest of Los Angeles. Cleanest beach. Spotless pier. Public restroom was super clean. And all highly walkable. Only complaint would be the aquarium on the pier closes pretty early (4:00 pm)
