Have had Mandarin many times. The food is good quality and always has good flavor. The only reason I am going with 4 instead of 5 stars is that they no longer have nor anticipate having dining in. I personally enjoyed going here for sitdown meals though I still get their food occasionally. However, I feel it is not nearly as good once it cools on the drive home.

Good food, good portions, always nice and hot! And their lunch specials are awesome! The place we remodeled recently so I wanted to update my review. They still have some amazing lunch specials, and they do great with their take out food! The servings here are very large! You won't leave hungry!

We've been coming here for years and the food has always been amazing. The service has always been good and friendly. The food is consistent and fresh. This Mongolian beef has set a standard for me and I don't even like to order it other places because I'm afraid to be disappointed. The sesame and generals chicken are both delicious and the best I've ever had. The house chicken is also! I love the chicken vegetable soup. The crab rangoons are filled perfectly with their own crab and cream cheese filling. Try the duck sauce too!

Food was disgusting. The soup tasted like water and they gave us mala beef instead of mandarin beef. Not only was the order not the right one it was 75% white onion and when we called to try to correct the issue we were told that we cant complain because they haven’t gotten a complaint in six months. Last time i check i paid money for the swill they served me so I definitely wont be giving them my business again in the future.

Not too bad. Portions are large. Staff very nice. Flavor great. However, we ordered the Beef in Garlic Sauce extra spicy; but it was hardly spicy at all. Also ordered a Chicken Vegetable Supreme and received a Cashew Chicken; not even close to the same thing. Granted we did come just before closing during the take out only days but neither of these 2 meals were unavailable when I called. Other than those hiccups it is definitely a 4 ⭐️.

The food was delicious. And the service was great!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I will be going back. It's a bit of a drive to get there but worth it.

I love the food there however the services seems to always struggle. A lot of the time when u call they don’t answer. And you can call for 20 minutes sometimes before you get someone. They seem to only have one person for up front to answer phones take orders package food ect.... you get very poor service because I feel the staff is stretched too thin upfront! Sometimes when you go in no one is there to wait on you or greet you. You can stand there for 10min at times. Please fix this! We want to continue to support your business.

Great experience, the worker was very nice and the food was delicious, packaging for takeout didn't leak or spill at all and kept food warm for two hours. Do recommend when in Alpena

I love that the place and dishes have stayed the same since I was a kid. You get exactly what you expect. Consistency is awesome when you are only in town a few days a year. I know what I’m going to order months before I get there and it’s always as delicious as the last time.

Would have given this place zero stars but the waitress was friendly and was working very hard to answer the phone and fill orders. The food was NOT good. My husband ordered sweet and sour chicken because he figured you can't screw that up. Well it was bland and pretty much tasteless. My Chicken Almond Din was bad also. The chicken itself was good but the lettuce under it was wilted and bitter and the sauce tasted sour. The only thing that was good was the rice. We were just passing thru town and thought we'd try a local place and ended up throwing most of our food out.

It is strictly pick up meals at this time. Pick picked up for someone, it was great meal according to him

Always delicious to grab a togo meal! Great service and fast!

Great food usually but you can't dine-in anymore which kind of ruined this place for me because I enjoyed dining in and having their hot tea with my food.
