Etta was our waitress. #1) She did not tell us the specials #2) She did not ask if we wanted to start our meal with an appetizer #3) Our food was..oh..how you say..thoughtless? #4) I said to the waitress, "What is this strange thing in my potatoes?" she said “potatoe skin, I will bring you another." I said "okay, please no cinnamon on this one please." she brought the new potatoes after I had finished my meal. I tried them and they were covered in cinnamon. she mixed it up in them. #5) she came and swooped up all of our plates without asking if we were finished. #6) she did not ask if we wanted dessert or a to go box. #7) I highly recommend court yard or really any OTHER restaurant. My family will never dine here again. fyi: don't let the pictures fool you. my fish was covered in cheese to give this otherwise bland dish flavor. My husbands salmon was overcooked and tasted strongly of Tony's seasoning...and hey, how can you mess up fried shrimp?

Absolute trash. Food is generic. Service is even worse. Sat down for a good ten minutes and no one came to see me. Soda are terrible and cups aren’t clean. When I finally ordered some food it was undercooked. Doesn’t look very appetizing. How is this place still running with such terrible food and service. Place is not well lit.

Delicious! We had the Root Beer Pulled Pork and Brisket Street Tacos. Only feedback is their bread. Focaccia bread is too dry unless there is a lot of juice to go with it. GREAT SERVICE!

We tried the seafood pasta and the salmon. The pasta was good and it is quite filling. The salmon was ok but it was a little overcooked. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice although the decor could use a little updating.

My first time at this local restaurant 😊 what a delight! Prices are fabulous! Server Colin was great! Wonderful place don't pass this place by! Stop in and see Crystal and Colin they made me and my friend fell so welcome! Excellent food! Kudos to the cooks!!!

The waitress was very good and kept up with the service and drinks. The food on the other hand was sad. At least what my wife and I had. I had a prime rib and it was mostly grissle and fat. My wife had a ribeye and shrimp. The ribeye was small and thin and overcooked and the shrimp was salty. Couldn't taste the flavor of the shrimp just the salt. They definitely need better cooks!!!!

It was our first time there. We will go back. The food was very good. The service was fantastic and friendly.

This place has great food at good prices, I haven't had bad service and the atmosphere is rustic. Great little hometown restaurant.

Everything was great, the food was yummy, our waiter was friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Our water glasses were never empty, our food was quickly prepared hot and fresh, from the kitchen, to our table. The menu, has a lot of variety, something for everyone. The restaurant has several comfortable dining areas including seating at the bar. The restaurant was clean, the windows were clean and the restroom was very clean. We would definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend THEM to anyone.

Great food. Friendly staff. Even friendly others at the bar. Great portions. Cold beer. Can’t beat it. Was up in alpena for work. It was walking distance from where I stayed. And after 7 hours of driving walking distance was a bonus.

I have to preface this post by stating that we arrived in Alpena later, so many restaurants were closing and choices were limited. So on a recommendation from a local, we were referred to the 19th hole. My expectations were not high but I was pleasantly surprised by the menu selection. It was my spouses Bday and she specifically wanted local fish dinner. Not expecting much but they were able to prepare us a beautiful yellow belly perch dinner fresh from the bay. What a treat, and cooked perfectly! The only complaint was when I asked about the fried mushrooms and if they were hand battered the sever said "absolutely ". When they arrived it was clear that they were Gordon's and they were still cold in the middle. Sent them back and they adjusted the temperature but not the bill. Anyway, all in all a good experience and would recommend for a decent meal albeit a tad pricey for a casual venue.

Decent food at decent prices. We ate here before leaving town. I had the Rubin with a side of ring. The rinds are huge, greasy, and taste great. My Rubin had a nice, marbled rye. My only complaint would be the dressing, it was a little on the sweet side.

Their website was a little outdated - food cost a little more (thank you inflation) and menu had a couple less items, but the food was excellent and we had a top not service. We will definitely be back.

Food was wonderful! My chicken was cooked perfectly, as well as the tendercrisp fresh (NOT FROZEN) vegetable medley. My husband said his coconut shrimp was very good, as well! Service was excellent.

I really enjoy conversations with their staff. They really know how to welcome patrons. A Home town feel with charm and good eats. I enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich and house fries. It made my week. Thank you Anthony for your social charm. I will definitely be back.

Tried the lobster roll because of the positive review. They did not let me down. The lobster roll was great, but bring your appetite. It is huge. Accompanied by wonderful seasoned ff. My husband ordered the cod dinner. Light batter and flakey white fish. Also very good. We will be back.

Great food! We had a party of 6, and everyone was pleased. Good Bloody Mary. Poor waitress/bartender was slammed and working alone. We were patient and rewarded with a great time.

We went for lunch and it was enjoyable. The sandwich I had was delicious and the fries were good. The server was pleasant and attentive. While nearing the expensive side for a lunch, overall the experience was enjoyable and I will return periodically. Update: still good place to go.

I live in Naples Florida and Michigan. In Naples I get a Maine lobster roll for $21, $25, and $30 depending on where I eat. Those are all pure Maine lobster. At the 19th hole we get their lobster salad roll for about $15. This is a much larger roll than any in Naples, but it is a salad. However, the salad contains a large quantity of lobster and, in the final analysis, is the equal of any of the Naples rolls. Next visit my wife and I have decided to split one order...it's that filling with their (very crispy) French Fries. Best of the sandwiches which are unique to Alpena.

Took my mother in last night, didn't realize you had a new menu! Everything was great. Food , staff, price! Good job!

Service and food were great. My server was very attentive. The ribeye could've had a bit more seasoning but nothing a little salt and pepper from the table couldn't fix.
